Decent room but definitely not a 5 star
The best part was the room since it fit a family of four comfortably. Next would be the pool area: small but good enough for the kids. Last would be its location.

The stay at the hotel was relaxing enough for my family. The room was big, clean and comfortable enough for a simple family vacation. Since we got the room at a discount, i consider it value for money. Otherwise, i'll stick it out with the traditional 5 star hotels in makati.
While our stay was pleasant enough, i'm not convinced that this is a 5 star hotel. I've had my share of travels and to me this a 4 star at best. It just doesn't feel luxurious having no aircon in the ground floor lobby, only 2 towels in the room, limited/ordinary breakfast buffet and the very bad elevators.

great hotel at BGC
clean room, location, good breakfast

the breakfast buffet was good, i think it was the highlight of our stay. with the price we paid, i expected a little bit more (having stayed at other 5 star hotels) was surprised that the hotel lobby wasn't grand. the location is perfect, only walking distance to the bars / restaurants / BGC high street.

Good hotel at BGC

we liked our room, it was spacious and very clean. stayed for 2 nights, and on our first night there i was awaked by loud banging noise from the corridor / hallway. i dont know if it was made by other hotel guests but the noise went on for a few minutes, and it was pretty loud to wake me up. i had high expectations for this hotel, given the price we paid for our bookings. i loved that it was extremely close to high street. it was a struggle to swipe key card and press floor number on lifts simultaneously.
Entrance of the hotel is at the ground floor, as well as concierge, Lobby is at the 5th, breakfast is on the 3rd. This was quite confusing upon our arrival.

Great location with large-sized room

The only problem I had was with their elevator. It was a little shaky and you can hear the mechanism.

Relaxing
Close proximity to the restaurants and shopping areas, entertainment areas and near to Makati business district.

Our stay with F1 Hotel was relaxing, although the Fort suit view is not as we are expecting. We requested for a higher floor room while booking through on line, but to our surprise, the concierge put us in the 7th floor, we are somehow disappointed. The breakfast buffet has few food selections, and their dining areas are insufficient dining tables that we have to wait for around 25 minutes for our turn.

The best thing about the F1 Hotel is the staff. They're friendly, polite and helpful.
The room was fairly nice, good size but didn't include a bath like the advert says. The room had no view to speak of, just another tall building to look into. Was woken at 9am by construction workers banging hammers on the building across from my room.
The food menu is so so so so limited. They were kind enough to adjust a menu item for me because I'm vegetarian but they really need to expand their menu. Starbucks have a bigger food menu than this hotel lol.
The carpets in the hallways were a bit scuffed, grubby and generally looked rather bad.
Buffet breakfast was included with the room but the dining area was full of people and then even more people queuing and waiting outside. So we didn't even get to eat breakfast.
On the whole, it's a pretty basic hotel that has been made to look fancier than it really is.

Quite nice room and restaurant but the tables are too close to each other at the restaurant and the card system for using elevator was a bit annoying cause the sensor wasn't very good
