Garden Plaza Hotel, Manila

A pleasant stay for a night, cost was very reasonable and the food in the restaurant was very good. The free breakfast was just bread and coffee. The room was spacious but very badly lit giving the appearance of being dingy, needed some painting here and there but was basically clean. Taxi driver could not find it and taxis outside hotel were not metered. Overall a good stay for a short time but not too good for a longer stay.

I like this place because it is near the park and it is located in the old city. The places around is very beautiful and very easy for us to travel. People are very hospitable. They rendered good service.

Breakfast is forgettable. Location is too far out it is almost impossible to go anywhere on foot. Taxis at the hotel lobby do not go by meter and they tends to charge a flat rate which is often much higher. Room is dull and the moment i step into it, it almost put me to sleep and with 3 faulty lamps, it made it worse.

I won't recommend this hotel to people as long as you don't only want to sleep in the hotel all the time. The location is isolated and difficult to find.

The towels were very very old and not white anymore yuckkk.. i had to buy new towels.

Including the breakfast increases the price of the room.

I shortend the staying period and changed the hotel one day after arriving. The airport taxi could not find the hotel even after I showed him the map. Also my friend faced the same trouble when he visited the hotel.

This was the most expensive hotel I have ever stayed in in the Philippines. It was dirty and the paid staff were very unfriendly. Once I had managed to speak to the managment, it was confiremed that the floor in the room had never been properly cleaned other than dry sweeping, that the ceiling had never been cleaned in any way, that they don't supply gas for the kitchenette gas rings. I highly recommend that no one goes near this place.

Agoda is a good website which helps to find good hotels in many cities, but please take care before introducing hotels to anyone.

The continental breakfast was simple and good. We arrived very late at night and had no problem with late check-in. Agoda notified the hotel and everything went smoothly.

The hotel is next to a cemetery. If other tourists found out they would feel very disappointed.

The only positive feedback on this dump was that the security personnel act as bell boys. All rooms are smoking, and the hotel is actually an apartel/hotel. People drinking beer and loud music in the upstairs lobbies are a norm, and they leave their doors open, have a peek, its free. The wifi didnt work at all, and the supposed DSL lobby connection was at times slower than dial-up, and they charge you for the time used even if it doesnt work while you are on it. The rooms are big, but expect cockroaches, they come in abundance. Entrance pictures listed on net are misleading. Breakfast is always one hour late, so if you have an early flight, forget it, choose a primarily toast with small coffee 1 hr late or flight on time, We chose flight. Very poor customer service, and at times - discriminatory. I would recommend the Pearl Manila to be last choice, and would stay in the airport lobby rather than this garbage again.
