Just be careful when you go out at night. If you take cab make sure they have a meter or negotiate a rate before you get in. Other then that enjoy your stay Manila is a good city.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Baywalk is close by and there are many bars for night life. Enjoy

The price for the same was decent. The rooms were clean and the bath was large. There wasnt a great restaurant in the hotel but this wasnt such a bad deal the setting of the hotel was quite different from the staircase and the atrium lighting and the large palatial look it had from some long lost era. I quite liked the rooms and the budget side of the deal was what i liked the most. Affordable. The only thing that i noticed was there was no currency exchange available for the Australian Dollar so that might be a good tip for any traveller from Oz to keep some local currency handy.
Hotel Feature Tip : This hotel has an awkward entrance and might take some time to finding the entrance its also in an odd end of the street making it some effort to get to the main road to catch a cab in case you want to make a trip somewhere. This might take more time than you initally estimate. Took me near 30 mins at around 8pm to get a cab one evening.

I would recommend this hotel because of it's location from the Manila airport. It has an upper floor w/a pool which is small but a very nice one. And I also liked the inside area w/benches and plants, a place to go relax and be inside with a very nice atmosphere. And away from the sunshine for a bit. The price was good I think for what you get. I paid $42.USD per night for 2 nights. I think it was a good price for the comfort! And the smiles I got when I checked in. Garden Plaza, I will return in 2008!! Thanks
Shopping Tip : The mall was very close to the hotel, And a very larg one as well. The natives were very friendly to me.

The rooms are safe, "key" was not included. The outer room of a large amount of traffic, noisy mess. The three-star and that, in fact, think less. Rather than a hotel, has a feeling of an apartment. This is not the type of hotel than I expected, therefore, difficult to give strength without detracting from acet hotel. I think this hotel needs to refresh at the decor. It's really old and the atmosphere is not at its best. Room clean enough, but nothing more. I do not really like my stay at this hotel without detracting from the efforts of staff to enhance the decor of this poor etablissement. I did not eat on the spot and the atmosphere depressing this hotel does not give me the taste either. I hate to leave the scene to find myself in another hotel .. It is certain that the price I pay for this room that I can expect a better, but nothing prevents to provide an atmosphere and a decor best for this type of hotel.
