Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.
We want you to pay the lowest possible rate for your room. If you have reserved a hotel room through Agoda, and then show us that you could book the same room, for the same dates, at a lower rate, that is viewable and bookable on another website, within 48 hours of booking your room with us, we will either match that rate or beat it. Friendly, obliging staff. Value

Experienced 2 cockroach infested rooms which also did not have proper curtains to block the light and traffic noise was unrelenting.

My wife and I stayed at the Great Eastern in the December - January period with several periods away from the hotel during which time we left stored luggage at the hotel. The initial booking was made through Agoda for a Deluxe Twin in the old building and we were accommodated in a spacious room on the 7th floor (715) on the side away from Quezon Avenue - much quieter. Apart from a couple of issues such as the smoke detector being missing with wires just hanging and a face plate around bedside switches just hanging there and easily dislodged everything was fine and excellent value.

Nightlife Tip : One thing I enjoy in Manila is the Comedy Bars - I suppose quality of shows can vary but they are lively and fun. You can have dinner there too. Punchline is just a few doors down Quezon Ave from the great Eastern. Zirkoh is a couple of Km away in Thomas Morato Ave near D.A. Roces Ave. Check out on YouTube for some idea of shows.

Horrible, dilapidated, filthy hotel

Managed to kill 6 cockroaches in the first half an hour but I doubt this did anything to deter the rest. Stayed in the 'new' west wing - I dread to think what the east wing is like. Bed hard, linen cheap and dirty, room shabby. There is nothing redeeming about this hotel and for much the same price you can do much, much better

Walking distance to fast food rest and Max Rest. and mini shopping ctr. This hotel was just chosen for the dancers from Guam so it would be closer to ABS-CBN and GMA studios.

Leaks from the ceiling bathroom; water runs through the tub onto the floor too causing the floor to be flooded. No towels in the room when initially checked-in. Towels were colored gray instead of white. Rooms were dirty, curtains were dusty and smells too. This is a ROACH hotel! tiny coachroaches were all over the room. No internet in rooms but the flyer stated it has internet in rooms and HIFI on the lobby. HIFI on lobby is very very slow, slower than a snail.

They charge svs charge daily but their services is very poor. It took 4 calls to get the towels and almost an hour for a kettle of hot water (2 calls). They moved us from the leaking room to a ROACH Hotel room. They tried to charge me 500 pesos for a stained towel that they claimed was from our room but can not prove anything what caused the stain. Their charges were different from agoda charge. I was charged more in that hotel than in this website.

Hotel Feature Tip : the hotel sign is very visible at night...you can't miss it, you won't get lost. I call this a "ROACH HOTEL"

Very nice room, staff very courteous, good prices at restaurant, and the food is good. We have extended our stay at this hotel, also close to everything.

Internet was out for 4 days but now restored and pretty fast, no extra charge.

We stayed at this same hotel 5 years ago and had a wedding reception here. We were very happy with our stay then and we like it more now. It was going through renovations at that time. we have a great room, clean, with two beds, cool air, and very comfortable. As I said the internet comes with the room but you have to have a cord, wifi in lobby and restaurant. We are close to shopping centers, banks, food, and they have a laundry service here also. All of this for only We would recommend this hotel to anyone watching their budget and staying in Quezon City.

Restaurant Tip : Max Restaurant great food inexpensive good service..just steps from hotel

The staff was very friendly. They provided information about the various sights. I had a pleasant stay overall. The breakfast buffet downstairs was very good. I highly recommend it to my fellow travelers.

The staff took a longer than usual to check me in, then my Agoda hotel reservation saved the day!

After the slow crawl through traffic you'll note the Great Easter Hotel is located in a grey looking district; don't let this affect you. Once you get inside the Great Easter Hotel is a nice place to stay with an enjoyable cafe' downstairs and another upstairs named Gulliver's. Agoda's rooms and prices are better than you can get on your own. Note: there are several doors that lead to different areas; take the door that's farthest left to go to the reservation counter. You'll be directed to an elevator to the Agoda reservation counter counter located on another floor. Have your confirmation in hand to speed up the process. The room I was assigned was clean, but I switched rooms because of a leaking fawcet. Everything looked good and clean. The staff was helpful and the stay was pleasant overall. There are places to eat within a block, even a McDonald's and reasonable places to shop nearby. If you cross on the same side of the street, there's a place where you can get a relaxing message for about $2.50 US! As you may guess, they count on gratuities for their living. I say you get good value for your money at this Hotel. This hotel is well worth the price and convenience of the stay. I'll stay here again when I'm in Quezon City... enjoy

Hotel Feature Tip : Downstairs at the cafe' is a wonderful breakfast buffett. Everything was tasty and well prepared. It really set my day off to a good start. It was reasonably priced as well.

Summary: Maybe three star or better once upon a time, not now. Two stars at best. Took an extra half hour to check out as I insisted on complete itemized bill from hotel printer, not with "add ons" hand written ( ie Internet, laundry, etc. ). So, if it's not in the hotel's computer system, who gets the money? Double billed expensive phone call, got that reversed. Very expensive curency exchange, I am getting 200 pesos per USD $100 more at the next hotel in the Ermita area. Without even going to a bank or dealing with the local bandit currency exchange stores for even better yield.

Shopping Tip : Good shopping across street at "National Book Store" building. Super market, restaurants, coffee shop, and of course the book store!
