Staff was friendly and helpful. Checking in and out was hassle-free. There were ice-cold towels and welcome drinks (watermelon freeze!) provided which were perfect for the hot weather. Themes for different rooms were a pleasant surprise. Both the room and the bathroom were very clean. Despite not having a bathtub, Erus made up for it by having a spacious area with a huge rainshower head. Many channels on cable TV (LCD screen) as well. Highly recommended if you do not mind not having a beach-front hotel.

Location to Greenhills Shopping Centre.
Good eating places nearby.
Hotel meals were good as well.
Best price is thru agoda.
Rooms are comfortable and clean.
Bed was great.
Air conditioner was cold.
Staff sometimes too helpful. (i am capable of opening a door myself)
They charge you 2000 pesos when you check in for stuff you 'might' use from the mini-bar. As i didn't use anything from the mini bar, they reversed the charge when i checked out. Just think this is silly and felt there was a lack of trust that i was going to skip town without paying for mini bar usage. Other than that, no other issues.
Location to Greenhills Shopping Centre, which has great mixture of market stall and brand name type stores. Good eating places at the shopping centre and the hotel meals were good as well. Best price is thru agoda. I stayed 2 nights when i first arrived in Manila. I then went to other areas and when i returned to manila decided to book a further couple of nights direct with Elan. The room rate direct was way more expensive. Rooms are comfortable and clean although the room i had was starting to look a bit 'tired'. Bed was great and air conditioner was cold. I'd stay here again.
Shopping Tip : Expect to be asked if you want DVD's whenever you go over to the shopping centre by dubious looking characters in the street.

good location-
comfortable-
clean-
safe-
friendly staff-
decent breakfast buffet
A nicer tv with dvd player is about it !!
We stayed at the GREENHILLS ELAN for about 4 days. Nothing bad at all to say about this place. A better tv with dvd player would be nice---other than that I really have no complaints. Close to shopping and lots of food. 7-11 close by. Movie theater also close. Staff friendly as well as security. Decent priced property. Would definitely stay again.
Hotel Feature Tip : Not so much a tip as just information that there is A LOT of shopping and dining within 5 minutes walking distance of the hotel !!!!! Great "Flea Market Style" shopping !!! Have fun !!
ALSO-----Always flag down your own cab and don't ever let the driver talk you into a "FLAT RATE" Some of the drivers want to give you the "Sooo much traffic" line. If they are not willing to give you a "metered" rate (which currently starts at 30 P) just wait for another cab.

Only the location is good, if you like shopping and prefer to stay in Greenhills area. Nothing worth recommendable.
Superior and Deluxe rooms are inconsistence. Some rooms have VERY BAD LAYOUT PLAN, just like entering a maze within the room. Lower floors practically NO SIGNAL for mobile phone users. Local calls fee overrated, not to say international calls. Phone cards can not be access using hotel room phone. Lobby do not provide pay phone facilities at all. Front desk have no phone for guests to use. Towels are unclean, same with fitted sheets. Online reservation offer free breakfast, but good for only 1 guest even you registered for 2 guests.
I will not return to this hotel again and will warn my friends to avoid even to consider Elan Hotel even its on sale. Front desk clerk are not well trained, know little of how to handle complaint. They are not equipt with enough experience for handle request or special arrangement. They are slow in processing check in and check out as well, even there are only 1 guest ahead of us.
Restaurant Tip : ARYA Persian restaurant / Gloria Maris Chinese seafoof restaurant

nice hotel for the price, close to many restaurants and shopping
the free breakfast didn't have much variety,i found my self eating breakfast other places everyday, every time i went to greenhills shopping center i was constantly bothered 100 times per day by guys trying to get me to buy pirated dvd's and cd's,they never stopped approaching me
the grrenhills hotel was my 2nd time staying there the people there are very friendly and helpful, even though most of the time nobody really understood me,the room was always clean always felt safe, good deal for the price,i would stay there again, the only thing that annoyed me was being approached 100 times per day asking if i wanted to but pirated dvd's and cd's
Travel tip : dont have the hotel take your laudry, walk your laundry downstairs yourself u will save much money the hotel charges 5x's what u pay if you walk down yourself

friendly staff and very well located to mall
far from heart of manila and most attractions
overall the stay was very nice. The staff was very friendly and always their to open a door coming or going. Internet cafe right under hotel so that is good for those without a lap top. Very close to mall and many different places to eat and get a good cold drink. Room was very clean just a few bugs nothing to worry about. Paper every morning at the door of the room. Housekeeping came by a little too much for my taste but then again that is not a bad thing.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : little far from most attractions so getting a cab can be tough at times but other than that no problems...

Hotel was very modern and rooms were clean. Breakfast was very good. Location of Mall very near and felt completly safe walking from there at night.
A little teething problem at the begining but soon sorted.
We had booked in for just two nights but extended our stay for a further three nights, however we did this through the hotel and next time we will do it through the internet for a cheaper price. We had a superiour delux room and found it to be excellent in condition and very clean. If i was honest we could not fault this hotel and the staff were very friendly.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : SM Mega Mall not far. Taxi from airport 600 peso.

good place, good room quality, good service. Just near the mall, easy to deserve by taxi. Not so far from the airport.
internet connection is very bad and very slow slow slow. They lie when they said we have high speed connection.
I'm french and sometime they didn't really try understand me. Only the front desk manager understand.
I left my room one day before departure. No discount on the few phone communication I did in local number. Bad commercial relation.
Very noisy aircon.
Good place, maybe I'll be back.

Staff is slow, rooms are small, internet connection is almost non-existent and very expensive.
Nothing good I can say about this hotel. Close to shopping, that's about it. This hotel rates at about two stars and that's being generous.

I thought this hotel was very clean and maintained. In good location right across from Greenhills shopping center with plenty of restaurants and fast food places.
Got charged for a chocolate stain on sheets from my son. If you plan on taking kids here watch them carefully.haha
I thought the overall cleanliness and the help of the staff really made this place stand out. Great location and security of this place really helps the pricing here as well. Security waits outside the doors adding extra security for your safety. Greenhills shopping center is a great place to shop and be at during your stay here at this hotel. Enjoy your stay here if you choose this hotel. I would say its a descent choice.
Shopping Tip : Greenhills mall right across the street from hotel.

Proximity to Greenhills shopping mall, which is one of the best places to get good bargains in Manila, and accessibility to/from EDSA. There's also a 24-hour convenience store nearby.
Buffet breakfast could be better. Expensive broadband connection or phone use if you try to use dial up. Most hotels should really be offering free wi-fi by now. No DVD player.
We stayed for five days in the hotel in a Superior room. It was small though the interiors were quite modern. There's a Small TV but no DVD player. The toilet has a bath tub and marble finishes. Though the toilet door in the room we had had a creaky door (something that could've been fixed by a WD-40 spray). Since there was no free wi-fi, i tried using their phone line for dial up connection with a pre-paid internet card i bought. That turned out to be a mistake since the phone charges, even locally, are costly. There is an internet cafe in the basement with broadband connection, but mostly it's occupied by teenage gamers shouting at each other at their heart's content. It was too late when i realised there's a free wi-fi at the cafe where the buffet breakfast is served. Staff are polite, though they could be nicer. And yeah, be careful at crossing the street, the pedestrian lane nearby is invisible to the motorists.
PS, we rebooked a week after and occupied a Deluxe room. It was more spacious and better than my experience mentioned above. Ideal for a family of three. Oh yeah, rebook from Agoda, not from the counter if you wish to extend your stay. Might save you some money.
Shopping Tip : Well, Don't miss the Greenills shopping centre and all the adjacent stores. Plenty of restaurants and shops would probably have all you could possibly shop for. If not, you can always go to SM Mega Mall and Robinson's Galleria nearby.

Updated, clean, awesome location - straight across the road from Green Hills, pleasant staff and nice facilities.
Beware of crossing the road (if you are not accustomed to the Filipino road rules (which are..none!))
The Elan was the perfect place to stay for my husband and I. We were very comfortable and it felt like a home away from home. Green Hills is popular for its markets and array of products. There are also many wonderful restaurants and cafes, immediately after crossing the road and entering into Green Hills. There are many types of shops to choose from as there are also boutiques as well as markets. The Green Hills Elan was modern and extremely clean...you almost feel like you are in another city.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Definately check out the markets..you will be amazed at how much you will find there.

Upgraded us to a suite after we complained about noise from a private function.
Breakfast was not good but one of more decent ones i've seen in the Philippines.
Its a pretty basic hotel, has all the essential facilities one needs for a short stay. Room was ok, modernish and quite clean though hotel looks a bit old. Location is also good, its just next to the malls and you can find food easily. We booked a basic room and they gave us one on the 3rd floor, which was directly above the function room and there was some kind of party and it was extremely noisy even till 11+pm. We complained a few times, they didnt ans the phone and we had to trudge our way down to the front desk to complain. Was not happy about that, we had to make 3 trips down that night coz they didnt ans the phones. Eventually at the last trip they offered us a suite on 20smthing floor and helped us move there. So at least they did something about it.

Modern interior, proximity to shopping centres, restaurants, convenience stores, police station (not that you'll ever need it)
No DVD player, no free wi-fi in rooms
It was our second time in the hotel, booked on a Deluxe room. We previously stayed in a Superior room, so we were able to compare. Firstly, the Deluxe is spacious.. perfect for a family of three to four. The Superior room is only fine if you're a couple or staying alone. Furnishings were nice and modern and still looks new. Breakfast was fine, but you'll get tired of it by the 2nd day. Fortunately, there are multitudes of restaurants in Greenhills shopping centre. Front of hotel is already Annapolis St., so there's no drop off or pick up point area unlike bigger hotels. That said, it's easy to get a taxi.
Hotel Feature Tip : Free wi-fi at the cafe at the ground level.
