the staff were greeting you non stop except for the receptionist who were pretty grumpy when pointed out that the hotel advertised as hi fi equipped but no where was it mentioned that hi fi is extra charge. the internet was not free...~! You have to pay extra for it...in this dain age, I think it is highway robery to pay 60usd for a room without itnernet and they called themselves a 3 stars hotel :(

far from makati center and airport rooms are nice and pretty clean, staff is helpful although their English is a bit weak. it's only a few steps away from the LRT so you can go anywhere. It's a bit far from the airport and the makati center but you have robinsons just a few blocks away if shopping is your thing. I think its a good deal for that price.

The hotel is next to the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Station and Robinson Mall. Pedro Gil is the street it's on and very busy but has a lot of stores, street vendors and Internet cafes. Hotel room is modest but comfortable. Lower floors are nosier, elevator is slow but worth the time if you want to stay on a quieter higher floor. Hot water takes a while to heat up. Overall the Hotel Kimberly is an economy hotel that is right smack dab in the heart of the Malate District. Bars, shopping and spas are all within walking distance and the Internet WiFi in the hotel is reasonable, 100 Pesos for an hour. The LRT station is nearby and will connect you to all of the major shopping malls of Manila. If you're looking for a nice place to spend your day, this is not your hotel but if you just need a place to rest at night, then this is perfect!
Shopping Tip : Go to Robinsons which is only three blocks west of the hotel. I traveled all through Manila and ended up buying most of my things from there.
