Location , roominess + staff
Very good location.Rooms are clean. Will definitely stay here again. But food needs to be better. Otherwise you have to get food from glorietta, landmark or green belt malls nearby.
Hotel Feature Tip : Stay here. Use food rom nearby glorietta and green park and internet from starbucks.

position,cleanliness, space
Too costly and not too good food. Internet access slow and costly.
For staying at Manila, this is really a cool place if u can take advantage of its surroundings. This is at the haert of the city with an underpass to Glorietta mall. Many other malls nearby. So my recommendation stay here, enjoy food at nearby malls and restaurant and enjoy free internet at starbucks.
Travel tip : Stay but have food and internet at Glorietta mall.

Well situated, great friendly staff, good quality
not well soundproof rooms
I stayed 8 night in the hotel and enjoined my stay very much. The friendlyness of the staff is very good. The location is pleasant as you can walk out of the hotel and one will be in a good clean area of the city. The size of the bathroom is not that big and as an European it has a too low ceiling. The rooms are not soundproof and if my neighbours are speaking or the TV was on I could hear too much disturbing sounds. The service as well transportation, swimmingpool, restaurant and roomservice are great and I hope to be back soon

Located at a great central place in front of Glorietta mall.
Hotel ambience and decor is very good
Location is excellent for a business travellar
Rooms are spacious and well-decorated and well-lighted
Interent connection at the hotel is pricey - around USD 20 per day
Food is also quite pricey.
Overall a good nicely located hotel but cost is slightly on the higher side

Great hospitality, excellent location
Room service a little slow
The hotel is clean and quite and situated in a great location and easy access to taxis. Service a little slow, but great hotel and would surely stay there again. Would recommend this hotel to people visiting manila. The rooms are clean and well maintained. Security check provide is good and its safe.
Restaurant Tip : SM mall situated besides the hotel for your small needs and nice food court too.

Staff was very efficient.
The Jeepney Cafe doesn't have the Jeepneys in the restaurant anymore that I loved as a kid.
The hotel is in an excellent location...close to shopping and restaurants in Makati. The room was very comfortable, but it was a bit on the small side. The staff called us several times checking to see if everything was OK.

Good clean hotel but not a good value. I had great experience at Intercon in Bangkok (the best hotel) , Manila Intercon is an old property and not a good value for money. Good location, located next to greenbelt and glorieta shopping malls.

Centrally located near shopping centers and restaurants.
Front office staff must show more friendliness and be more polite.e.g. smile when talking to guests.
The hotel is strategically located near shopping centers and restaurants, cafes and food courts-ideal for tourists and business travelers who do not have the luxury of time. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Housekeepers were helpful and attentive to our needs. The concierge was able to direct us to places we wanted to visit.
Overall our stay was pleasant and we would definitely consider staying at the hotel in future.
Restaurant Tip : Eat at Gerry's Grill. Visit restaurants at greenbelt for ambiance and good food.

Location
Security
High standard of all staff
Clean spacious rooms
We were thrilled to find this gem in Manila. From the moment of our arrival the staff's professionalism and courtesy were impressive. We ate both nights at the Jeepney Cafe as we could not better the quality and price elsewhere, and there where plenty of choices from high end to MacDonalds. There was a high measure of security, a sign of the times, but not obtrusive. The hotel is situated close to a large shopping complex, department store, restaurants, cinameas and grocery stores, and a short walk to the train and bus station. We were so impressed we returned several days later after a short trip north.
Hotel Feature Tip : Hotel transfers to and from the airport are worth the extra expense.

This is a first class hotel in a wonderful location, great food, fabulous amenities and very good value for the money.
This was my second stay at the Intercontinental Makati and I cannot think of anything negative to say about my visit there.
I was very impressed with my second stay at this hotel during the end of October, 2008. The hotel is first class, clean, comfortable and has impressive amenities. The pool is wonderful at this hotel, nice gym, great food. The Intercontinental Lounge facility on the top floor is an impressive amenity. They provide a breakfast, snacks and drinks throughout the day, and a nice cocktail hour in the evening. Wifi is available in addition to several internet stations. This lounge provides a first class venue to meet with guests or business associates as well as a spectacular view of the Makati/Manila skyline.
Also impressive to me are the helpful, friendly, professional staff, from the front desk to the room attendants.
I was very pleased with my stay there and will be back again.
Hotel Feature Tip : I would recommend an upgrade to one of the Intercontinental Club floors which includes the use of the Intercontinental Club Lounge feature. This upgrade is an excellent value for the money for either the business or liesure traveller. Enjoy!

The hotel is in a central location near to shops and has good access to taxis to get around Makati and Manila.
No cons on this trip everything about the trip went smoothly, the hotel was very good.
The hotel, from check-in to check-out was a pleasure. The staff were helpful and very cheerful. We were looked after in the restaurant, coffee shop and bar and made to feel very welcome. I travel to the Philippines 2 or 3 times a year and this was my first visit to the Intercontinental but I will return here for my next trip.

Excellent location next to Glorietta Mall, very nice swimming pool.
Did not have a transformer for 220-110 conversion available. Room was next to elevators and so was noisy.
Overall the hotel was very nice and the staff were very pleasant. Food was good at the hotel restaurants, the pool is very nice.
I came from the US and needed a transformer for my laptop. There was none available. I was able to use the wi-fi in the 14th floor lounge but eventually my laptop battery died. So then I had to use the available internet stations there in the lounge but the connection was very slow and the system kept freezing. So, I was unable to follow up on important business transactions at the hotel because it did not have the necessary support in place.
Second item was that my room was next to the elevator bank. I did not realize how noisy this was until I was woken up at about 2:00 a.m. due to the noise of the elevators going up and down.
My recommendation for the hotel is to always keep one transformer in the 14th floor lounge area. That way if there are more customers than transformers, (there was a large group of Americans in the hotel), the guest can charge their laptop battery at the lounge area while working. Second recommendation would be to inform the guest upon check in that their room is next to the elevator bank and they will have some noise. This will give the guest an opportunity to decline that room in advance as the noise is not so noticeable until the late night hours.
Hotel Feature Tip : Be sure to block out an hour or two to spend at the hotel pool. Wonderful!
