there is nothing selling points to this hotel. hospitality wise need to improve

1. mineral water shouldn't be included as 'sale' item. Should consider as complimentary 2. air-condition need to improve 3. room too expensive and not worth to stay. got to review.

this is my very first experience stay in makati palace hotel. in term of outlook of the hotel doesn't give me a good impression. hotel reception should provide foreign currency exchange rate information board. I couldnt find any information regards to manila tourist spot. the hotel should include kind of information to ease tourist like staying at home.

Nightlife Tip : easy for those wanted to find nightlife at hotel surrounding. most of pubs are close to hotel.

The price was right the room and service was great Guest Rating: 7

Service and upscale rooms

Location is in the redlight district, restaurant closes too early. Wi-FI is not free and limited to downstairs.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I received excellent service from both housekeeping and the front desk. I needed a 110 voltage transformer and it was provided without hesitation. I could not use wi-fi in my room only dsl. I found this a bit annoying since the cable provided by the hotel was only e feet or so.

Right in the middle of Makati on P Burgos Street

No internet in most rooms

I stay here regularly and that's because it's a well priced hotel and provides excellent service and it's located right in the midle of the Makati night life, as long as your idea of night life is girlie bars. Rooms were cleaned every day and while basic they do have a kettle and a hot plate for making a quick snack. Breakfast is still expensive and there is still no internet in most of the rooms - deluxe rooms on the lower floors do have a wall socket but you still have to pay for a voucher and these are overpriced; the internet cafe across the street is much cheaper. All in all though, still my favourite place in Makati City.

Room and bed size, service, facilities

Less well kept than more expensive hotels in the area, expensive and slow internet

It was easy to call up the hotel and arrange for a pickup from Manila airport. The entrance area was nice and my deluxe room was spacious and clean. They have security at the front that requires you to sign guests in and out. If a guest leaves without you then they will call up to you to make sure that it's alright. The food at the dining facilities was definitely up to standard every time that I ate there. I did not have the chance to check out any of the other facilities but it is nice that they are there. The internet was expensive and slow but I don't know how it compares to other hotels in the area. There are internet cafes in the immediate area and even in the hotel but I did not use them.

Hotel Feature Tip : If you are going to extend your stay at the hotel, just use the internet and book another room through Agoda for a better price. I suppose that probably applies to most of the hotels here though...

the hotel itself is okay. i liked the bed and the pool.

the hotel staff needs a lot of work. seriously, they are really not courteous. they are not rude but they were not at all helpful nor accommodating. they need serious improvement.

i will not stay in this hotel again. i did not like the staff one bit.

As with most places n the Philippines the hotel has friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean, security is good, food is excellent and even the pool is clean. Lifts are very quick unlike many hotels I have stayed in. Hotel is ideally located for the Makati nightlife.

The floor I was on had no internet available which was a real problem for me. Breakfast is VERY expensive.

While this is a mid-priced hotel this has many features of hotels which are much more expensive. I have stayed at the Palace on three occasions now and I am there again next week, so obviously I like it a lot. Be wary if you have the buffet breakfast, it wasn't included when I made the booking through Agoda and it was 1000 pesos for two of us. When I booked direct it was included free of charge. There are other places to eat, Jollibee is about 100 metres away, there is a nice 50's-style diner over the road and there are quite a few other places all within a minute's walk of the hotel however a cheap breakfast in the hotel is sometimes all you want.

Restaurant Tip : 50's diner 'The Filling Station' is across the road from the hotel and the food is excellent, if not the cheapest in Makati.

It is at Makati and near bourges street. A lot of food outlet and pubs.

Not for family.

Overall the hotel is fine. There is an early check in charge which is half of the full day accomodation. The room cleaning services keep on calling and checking on the room. It makes it very inconvenient. Staying here is near to the night life. A lot of pubs and restaurants. It is also 15-20 minutes walk away from Greenbelt & Gloriata.

Nightlife Tip : Good location for pub hopping.

this hotel is in the middle of everything restaurants, bars, clubs, and shopping malls.

not all hotel floors are air conditioned and hotel restaurant food are a bit overpriced

hotel location is perfect place for a nightlife especially if you are single and looking for some extra fun. there are bars, restaurants, and massage parlors nearby, all walking distance from the hotel. hotel staffs are very helpfull and taxi rides average about 2-3 dollars one way.

Travel tip : there is a 7eleven store across the street for all frugal person like me.

This hotel is close to nightclubs, and other restaurants. Very comfortable and the staff were great.

Air conditioning needs a little improvement but was fixed right away. Watch for extra charges and costs.

Have stayed here before and was quite enjoyable, had a different room last time which would have been great this time because of the extra bedroom,{we had a extra person}could have asked for a upgrade but they accommodated us very well. We enjoyed our stay again thanks to the staff.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Get metered taxi a few steps to main street.

Wonderful staff and service.

None

This was my second visit to the Philippines and I stayed at Makati Palace again. I had a wonderful stay the first time and thought of no other place I would like to stay at. I would recommend them to all of my friends and family. The staff was courteous and friendly as always. Some of the staff remembered me from first stay which made me feel even more welcomed.

Spacious

WiFi pay per hour is a poor deal

I have stayed at this hotel 3 times and find it consistently clean and the staff friendly. The rooms are adequate/spacious and comfortable. I dislike the pay per hour WiFi system. There's a good internet cafe across the road @ 1/2 the price. The buffet breakfast dining is rather limited for my taste--lack of fruit or juices that aren't loaded with sugar. Nevertheless, this hotel's still good value for money.

Good location for night life

Bad location for family with young children stay

the reason why i mentioned that it's a bad location for family with young children stay is because makati palace hotel is surrounded by lots of night entertainments business which are not so suitable for children. other than that, it's quite a nice location. pretty near to some nice restaurants, massage place & just 5 mins taxi ride to shopping malls. hotel itself is overall quite exceptable. but just beware of their laundry charges:)

Restaurant Tip : lots of jap & korean restaurant around:)

Always liked this hotel. The staf seem to stay on so you always get to meet again.

Meals not for western people, no real frsh milk, a/c is too high in the resturant and lobby

Good clean hotel and value for money when you compare the surrounding area. Lacks atmosphere of hotels in a similar star rating in Hong Kong. There is no downstairs bar area, so to enjoy a drink you need to go out. The staff are very good here and make you feel welcome. The rooms are quite large, and always clean.

Nightlife Tip : Good location, close to most attractions

Nice clean rooms, friendly service

Needs a bar in the lobby. Lacks atmosphere. The wifi is slow, and not working well. The a/c is turned up way to high so advised to take a jacket to the downstairs area. the pool needs to stay open longer.

Overall, happy with my stay. The rooms were very goods and always cleaned well. Not happy with the choice of food for breakfast. Needs more western style food. A bar in the lobby would attract more western business people. An outdoor dining area would also attract more clients. The hotel across the road has this and is always full.

Nightlife Tip : Close to all the bars, resturants and pool halls
