Location, Facilities, Price, Extremely caring, courteous, friendly, & helpful Staff, well furnished suites

House keeping, convenience of utilities, bath linen

Booked for one night and again through another site for 4 nights. First night was disappointing. Agoda booking did not show on the Hotel computer. Room was over priced for first night. Most electrical terminals were hidden. Internet outlet was behind bed.t Microwave was at 7 ft high. Bath linen supply & oiletries were inadequate. US$10 per night for Internet but performance was very poor.

Shopping Tip : The Podium Mall is right across the hotel. Many interesting shops. Mega Mall is most interesting and one can find anything there. The department store is the most reasonably priced place for household goods with such an amazing range. A week is needed to explore and enjoy this mall. It is just within walking distance. A taxi will bring you back for about 50-60 Pesos. 7-11 is open 24 hrs. Location, location is everything. Many restaurants around.

WIFI/Internet access Clean bathroom Location is ideal, easy access to different hubs (dining, shopping and etc) Superb room amenities

Staff should be accommodating and quick to response in guest's request or inquiry.

The Malayan Plaza Hotel has the ideal location - in the middle of the Ortigas Business Area. I appreciated the studio room where I stayed, it’s spacious, elegant looking, clean (specially the bathroom) and has relaxing ambiance. Plus factor is easy access to the shopping malls, dining and entertainment hubs. I had the chance to shop at SM Megamall and EDSA Shangri La mall. I also had the opportunity to dine at Banana Leaf in Podium. I find a comfortable stay at the hotel having a 29-inch television with cable channels, IDD/NDD phones and in-room WIFI / Internet access. I easily/comfortably did some office works while lying on a queen-sized bed. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and will recommend this to my friends and officemates.

Nice place to stay lots of resto and shops around. Guest Rating: 8.3

-Got a big ref, microwave, stove, cookware & utensils. -Free wifi -Got 4 elevators -near malls -got starbucks and 7-11 within 1 min. walk

-no internet in the room -business centre has no aircon -breakfast buffet got few choice -heard some hammering sound (renovations) being done in the morning

The place was nice and its just like an extension of home since you can cook inside your room. The kitchen is complete with stove, cookware and utensils even and exhaust while cooking. We also went to Greenhills where you can shop for cheap things from clothes to cellphones. I stayed at Linden Suites last year which is more expensive than this but i think Malayan is much better in almost everything. My partner and i will definitely go back to this hotel since it is close to everywhere.

Nightlife Tip : You can go to Metrowalk (for night life) where there are more restaurants around with live band. This is just less than 8 minutes when you get a taxi.

Good location and clean

Communication flow. On the day of my check in, excellent service but on the day of extension very poor service - not standard in service. No remote control for bedroom - aircond.

Too rigid in reservation process and no flow thro of procedure. I have made two reservation and confirmation number is taken. Perhaps the vouchers should also be forwarded to the hotel to avoid last minute enquiry. I made my reservation in hotel online thus not able to print out the voucher. Number was taken during check-in and the night of extension but again when I check out, the staffs were asking about the same thing...

Restaurant Tip : Metro place and shopping mall within walking distance. Also a convenient shop around the corner.

Good location - easily accesible.

No internet in room.

Mixed up in names between two guests - maybe done during the internet booking. Front office staffs should be more sympathetic on the guest coming in late after 12 hours of work rather than insisting for vouchers number. Maybe a copy of vocher should be forwarded to hotel as well.

Restaurant Tip : Neear by shopping malls

Great all around service and perfect location in Ortigas.

Pricey laundry

Great hotel. I found out that some people who were walk-ins had additional charges that they were depressed about upon checkout. Luckily I ordererd through Agoda and had no problems what so ever. My check out bill was P70 or about $2.00. The only bad thing I have to say is don't use the laundry unless you like paying ALOT of money. First night there I had no clean laundry for rush service by their form I would have to pay around P4000 about $90. The solution was the front desk called 2 local places right away and had my laundry done for P60 per kilo. I rushed service for double. P120 per kilo. 2 nice ladies picked up my laundry and quoted me P350 (min wage is P380 A DAY) I gave them P1000. A day or 2 later I walked by the actual place and the actual rate for regular wash is P30 per kilo so I over paid still but I didn't mind.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Local SM mall has daily mass 6 PM top floor. Nice chapel.

Spacious rooms with attached kitchenette, lots of nearby restaurants and shopping, in a safe and relatively quiet part of Manila

Rooms are not really set up for business; limited power points, inconvenient internet connnection, etc. Apartment next door being renovated during my stay, constant hammering and other noise despite repeated complaints.

The Malayan Plaza is a serviced apartment complex with studio and one-bedroom units available for rent on a daily basis. The rooms are simple, but large and comfortable. Hotel-type facilities are limited, with one small cafe attached to the side of the hotel but only accessible from the street. However there are plenty of restaurants and shops in the vicinity. Service is friendly and polite, though more along the lines of an apartment reception desk rather than a full-service hotel. The biggest problem during this stay was that the apartment next door was being renovated, which meant days of hammering and other noise. This continued despite repeated complaints to reception and meant the room was almost uninhabitable during the day.

rooms are in good size, spacious and if you lucky great view could be from you window

if you are not lucky behind the window you will just admire other building wall

it was my second stay in Malayan. I was given huge room for myself. It is clean, spacious, good service but for the second time i have not tried the breakfast. If you like shopping it is just few minutes walk from Megamall. Malayan rather looks like service appartment place but also good for short stay. Make a trip to 33rd floor and enjoy swimming pool with great view to Manila

Shopping Tip : just few minute walk to Megamall

you can get nice view from the highest flors. I found this hotel interesting mostly cos of location near the big shopping center and just 3 min walk from airport bus service.

a little bit too dark in the bathroom

this hotel is a little bit familiar to service apartments. I was staying in double room and was positive surprised of the room size :) A noise from construction zone near hotel could be a little bit disturbing, despite i stayed on 30th floor, let alone the lowest. I have not tried the breakfast but i am staying in Malayan again in few days and hopefuly i can enjoy it.

Shopping Tip : huge shopping center just 3 min walk from hotel

very centralized location near SM Mega Mall.

do not have iron and ironing board in aprtment.

This serviced apartment is very centralized located near Podium and SM Mega Mall. It is also very near to bus terminal servicing Manila to Clarks airport. The customer service is good and the room is spacious. The only down side is that it's very difficult to get a taxi in the morning, during morning rush. the internet service is just so-so but they do not have in-house laundry service. The apartment is also not equipped with iron and ironing board. The breakfast is not really that good and limited choices.

Shopping Tip : The apartment is nearby Podium shopping center and SM Mega Mall.

Friendly, helpful staff. Rooms were huge, spacious and clean. Good to be away from Makati but still close enough to get around.

Breakfast could have had more variation. Hot water pressure was a little weak.

Would definitely stay here again! Staff were very helpful and always ready with a warm greeting. Close to mega-mall, the podium mall and metro. Rooms are great for am extended stay if you're interested, particularly the 1 br suites.

loved the hotel breakfast.

need to upgrade the room key to keycard. very troublesome fiddling with the keys. seeing the actual room is not the same as shown in picture

All in all a very pleasant stay. Really liked the hotel breakfast at the cafe - had a cosy ambience. Staff very courteous and polite. Upon first seeing the room, was rather disappointed because not the same as shown in the pictures. Seemed rather 'cold' . Nonetheless was comfortable. Especially very pleased with the walk-in wardrobe. Had a small kitchenette with a microwave but didn't make use of it at all. Was only in the room to clean up and sleep. There were 2 balconies but not really conducive for making full use of them. Did not like the room keys provided. Not smooth and took forever to open the door. Locks seemed kind of loose.

huge studio appartments, nice, clean, friendly stuff

location

The place was, besides the location which is fairly far away from attractions, amazing. I was staying at a nice big studio appartments and slept in the most comfortable bed since weeks. Staff is nice and the place was safe. It has some serious shopping within 2 minutes - SM Megamall.

The rooms were ok, but the aircon did not work. We hade to change room, and they chaged us 1500 php extra fore that.

The Hotel crew were unpolite and not at all helpful. They didn't have any computer to borrow to check the internet, you have to bring your own.

We stayed here fore one night and had booked another two nights a few days later. But we canceled it. Because the staff was really unhelpful, and they charged us 1500 when we chaged to a simular room because of the aircon and we needed twin beds insted of one queen-sized bed. The breakfast was what you expected at a one star hotel, not a four star. And no computer to borrow to use the internet, and not easy to find any internet-cafe close to the hotel.
