The only thing I would really complain about is the attitude of the receptionists. It took so long before the check-in was done and even the check-out. The receptionists are all rude and you can see all of them running around behind their desks just to photocopy IDs, check if rooms are available, and check if we consumed anything in the bar. When we asked for our breakfast voucher the receptionist said in a very condescending tone, "Oh, the breakfast coupon." So rude in my opinion. Anyway, it's a good thing that our main reason for checking in this hotel is to explore the Chinatown area, which happens to be the oldest in the whole world. Since Manila Grand Opera House is attached to D.Jose LRT station, it is easy to access the Chinatown, which is in Carriedo station (a station away). If you feel up to it, you can walk the whole way to Chinatown from the hotel. The hotel also offers free shuttle service to the Mall of Asia and Lucky Chinatown Mall.I also have to mention that this hotel has a historical value.

I felt comfortable and safe. Great pool.
Very clean, great swimming pool. Good breakfast, but very crowded.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Do not count on reliable internet. There seems to be trouble with getting the deposit of 1,000 pesos returned, lots of loop holes and double checking. Plan on 10 to 20 minutes resolving this issue.
