the staff have excellent service
the superior rooms needs a lot of renovation, carpets, curtain rails/rods, toilets
i like our stay, food way too nice!
staff and the services is very good.
the location is good, very near to different offices and other facilities. i'm a bit disappointed, in the internet, the superior room is very nice and clean, i admit it is cleaned everyday, but the stains and water marks in the ceiling tells it all.
Shopping Tip : SM Manila & Robinsons, is a joy for shopping

The hotel is beautiful and very affordable.
It is close to different establishments and some tourist attractions.
I don't like turning on the hot water in the shower because the water is so rusty. They must change the pipeline and make sure the water is clean even for shower or using the bath tub. Better have breakfast a little early coz the room gets so full so fast and you have to fall in line and wait until there's an available seat for you.
The hotel is beautiful and very affordable. It looks grat at night too. The lights from the casino and outside the hotel makes the hotel looks nice too.The is close to different establishments and some tourist attractions. It is close to the park, ocean park, restaurants and also the mall..
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Luneta Park, Manila Ocean Park and the Baywalk.

cheap rates, friendly staff, good breakfast buffet inclusive in the rate
My family and I spent 3 days at the Manila Pavilion. The room they gave us was old. The beddings were tattered in places. The bath tub and sink drains were clogged and we asked the maintenace dept. to fix them and they responded promptly but the drains did not improve. The disposable slippers they gave us were so flimsy that they tore instantly. I told the front desk about my concerns and they seemed receptive. Other than that, everybody was friendly. The place is conveniently located with it being in close proximity to malls and restaurants.

old furnished and bad smelling rooms.need updates
The hotel is at good location and the lobby area is really nice and has even life band in the evenings. Breakfast is excellent with good variety.
However, the standard rooms are not looking nice anymore. Old carpet, smelly and baths needs total renovation. Price to high for what one gets.

Spacious and clean rooms. Hotel is close to amenities and airport. Very helpful and polite reception staff, choices for breakfast was aplenty. Very attentive restaurant staff.
The hotel has lost it's 5-star touch though it's adequate for my needs. There's a distinctive smell of 'old age' and damp smell everywhere. Spacious lobby/reception area but always full of people sitting around thus becoming noisy.
A 5* hotel in its heyday but not anymore. It has grown old and in need of internal improvement including its huge lounge which looks like a public space due to the number of people sitting around but clean. Helpful staff, breakfast selection was good, location is good too. The room I had was clean and comfortable.

I have stayed here twice and it's a good hotel. Room is tastefully decorated and in good order.. the best thing would have to be their breakfast buffet. Whether you want fresh bakery, japanese, french pastries, ripe & sweet seasonal fruit or a full western breakfast - this buffet has it all. They just have poor customer service.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : it's close to the national museum

The lobby is beautifully decorated.
The furniture, television, are very old.. and there is a smell in the room...
overall we were not really that satisfied with the hotel service. The television is really old and my friend fell sick when on the second night of our stay because the room was like a freezer..a nd we were searching for the air-conditioner controller and we couldnt find it. On the second night of our stay, because my friend was freezing, hence, we have no other alternative but to check with the counter service, then we realised the controller is built in beside the small table.. i actually waited 30 mins for the adapter and when i made a final call to the housekeeping department, i was told that i need to purchase the adapter from them. I told the staff that this was the first time i heard hotel selling adapter to their customer.. I told her calmly that even if i'm going to purchase the adapter, i cant used it back here in singapore. finally they agreed to lent me the adapter.. There was a kind of smell the moment you step out from the life.overall, we were not really satisfied with our stay in this hotel..

The lobby will fool you into thinking that this is a 4/5 star hotel. The room was so bad; 2-star motels in the US have much better rooms. The carpet was torn & stained all over. Wood in the bathroom was rotting; dirty bathtub. The furniture, carpet was so old and wornout. The TV was so old; haven't seen those models in 10 years.
Haven't seen such unhelpful staff includng at the reception in a long time.
I consider myself an accomodating traveler, but this hotel really disappointed me.

The restaurant had excellent food in the buffet.
Carpet in room and hallways was nasty.
I am not sure how this hotel could have received a four star rating. If it was only based on the staff and the restaurant, then ok yes it was. But the room was a big disappointment: old, dirty looking carpet and the bathroom needs to be updated. No safe in the room. Bedding and towels looked old. Very disappointed.

The stand out feature of this Hotel is the Staff. They are consistently helpful, cheerful and attentive. The third room i stayed in was EXCELLENT so stay below 16th floor as others are not renovated
The hotel is being renovated and i refused the first room i was offered. The second room was acceptable but i would not have stayed there again if it was the best. Each morning there seemed to be a shortage of plates for fruit, and Jam disappeared after the first few days.
This was my third stay here, and my best. The rooms on 16th floor were excellent all new and clean. The staff are great and food excellent. My complaint is that i was first put into a room that was unacceptable and then changed. On return to the hotel i commented to reception and was in a newly renovated room.
There was always a shortage of places in morning and service for coffee was slow.
Overall the quality of the staff out weighed my problems and will stay again.
I was there when the big typhoon hit so this may well explain some shortages.
Restaurant Tip : There are some excellent sea food places to eat near by, but it is reasonably far from tourists areas and shopping is confined to the mall.

Location - close to everything.
Amenities.
Having stayed at other hotels over our time in Manila, I found the Manila Pavilion Hotel to be in the best location. A Robinsons mall is only a short walking distance away as was many restaurants as well as Luneta Park which was located across the road from the hotel. There were also numerous money changers in the area and also lots of fast food outlets like McDonalds, Jollibee etc. for the kids. The breakfast was quite extensive with a large selection which was layed out in a good order. With a Casino attached to the hotel there were many avenues for entertainment. Would have stayed longer in this hotel if we had the chance to as it was at the end of our holiday.
Restaurant Tip : Chinese Restaurant at hotel had excellent food

The hotel's staff is very polite and oblidging to all needs. The location is also very stretgic as it is situated very near to a very big shopping mall.
Breakfast food replenishing very slow.
I basically enjoyed my stay in this hotel as it has very good staffs. The breakfast was very good with many varieties but sometimes the kitchen staff takes time to replenish the food when it is consumed. Apart from the hotel is very convenient to stay and other amenities are very good. Had a comfortable stay and will stay there again if possible.
Shopping Tip : Located very near to a big shopping mall.
