The location are great , and near at the shopping mall , business establishment and embassies , especially at the Japanese embassy . and the staff are very friendly . like us we have to leave the hotel very early in the morning , when we told them that we can't avail the breakfast they told us that they will prepare a sandwich pack for us . and they do so . next time we visit manila we plan to stay again and again. we love the bed the ambiance and the amenities .

midas hotel manila has been recently renovated. it looks quite modern and clean. it comes with casino facility. the f&b in the hotel is very wide spread, it is an international food menu, lots of variety to choose from. hotel staffs are quite friendly and helpful. overall experience is great. very easy to access to taxi to any where else too. i will stay back this hotel again in future.

I booked a 3D/2N stay here and I got the deluxe room twin sharing which included breakfast. I actually expected a lot 'coz my friend had her OJT (on the job training) there and she said that rooms are nice. Checked-in around 12am and it was a breeze, we were asked to give an incidental deposit of P6,000 which will be refunded upon check-out. The lobby was impressive and it was very modern but the moment we were brought to our room, OHMYGOODNESS!!! it was very far from what I saw from the pictures. It was old, musty and had stains in their mirrors and bathtub. The room was also poorly lit, the chair is old and whenever I sat there, my behind feels itchy, I think they have bedbugs on their seat.
For their bed, we requested a twin bed and we were given one large bed, and to our discovery, our huge bed is made up of 2 twin beds linked together, like seriously? We just shook it off 'coz the beds were comfy but still, what hotel does that?
The bathroom is gross, you'll have second thoughts in stepping on their tub coz they have scratches and some dirty stains that they can't remove, really gross.
We actually heard some strange sounds and we thought that someone is trying to break in our room. I don't know what that was but when we were about to leave our room the air conditioning unit made some strange noise as if it was going to be detached on the ceiling. Weird. Also, we already had the "Do Not Disturb" sign on our door and early in the morning, people were banging on our door asking us if we want our room to be cleaned. Again, seriously, can't they read?
As for their breakfast, it was not that bad, there were enough food choices, their mushroom rice (forgot what it's called) is really good. They have noodles, congee and pancake / waffle section. For the drinks, they will only serve water and you have to get coffee and juices on your own.
For taxis, you wouldn't have a hard time getting one coz a lot are passing by there.

The hotel has gained quite a good reputation and has become a favorite of many Filipinos returning from overseers. As such it has a very local atmosphere. The downside is that it also became a favored filming location which disturbs the peace it once boasted.

Unexpected Comfort and Luxury
Well-appointed rooms! The bed was firm and the feather-pillows felt like you were melting into them.

The hotel is a revelation to me. There was a band playing Beatles song at the lobby which set the mood for the night. The interiors of the hotel was very nice and the room was very well appointed. The choice of furniture inside the room was impeccable. It was a very restful 2 nights we had! Kudos!

Stayed for a week at Midas hotel with my daughter for our trip home to the Philippines and have nothing negative to say about this hotel. The hotel staff were exceptionally respectful and helpful, each morning both my daughter and I would be cheerfully greeted and they made sure all our needs were taken care of.
The buffet breakfast at Cafe Midas was amazing! There is so much variety accompanied by traditional Filipino favorites.
Lastly, if you have the opportunity to stay at the Midas I highly recommend trying out the massage service, it is wonderful and affordable!
The Midas is a beautiful hotel with spacious rooms and wonderful hotel staff, all in all a definite 10 out of 10!
