Every time an Agoda customer checks out of a hotel we send them an email asking them to write a review of their stay. This is the only way reviews can be submitted. Every review must then be approved by our content team before being posted on the Agoda website. Therefore, unlike many other travel sites, ALL Agoda reviews are certified and genuine.
We want you to pay the lowest possible rate for your room. If you have reserved a hotel room through Agoda, and then show us that you could book the same room, for the same dates, at a lower rate, that is viewable and bookable on another website, within 48 hours of booking your room with us, we will either match that rate or beat it. Location, Taxi handy, 7/11 near by. Staff friendly and helpfull,
Hot water may run out, depending on number of guests.
This was my first stay at Miramar Hotel. It is a clasical elegant hotel. Restaurant located in the hotel'michelles' has a good range of foods. there are other eateries near by, as well as shopping centres and amusement parks.
The staff go out of there way to assist, i will definatly be staying here on my next visit to manila.

Low price & Walking distance to US Embassy
Credit Card required for Check-In though Booking for room is Pre-paid in Advance? Resturant is overpriced for Quantity & Quality of Food.. Rooms are clean but smell Old & musty!
Mirmar Hotel is perfectly located for accessing the US Embassy. Staff is pleasent & courteous.. Not happy about credit card deposit required on arrival of $5000 pesos for incedential charges, therfore we refused to leave deposit. Many food shops, 7 Eleven market & Starbucks within walking distance.. Many pedalars on front street at night.

-good position on Roxas Blvd, not too far from airports
-fair price relative to rest of Manila
-friendly, polite staff
-close to a 7-11
-a bit tatty, showing its age
-breakfast is very basic
The Miramar is a bit of a struggle to find even though its on Roxas Blvd. It's showing its age in a not very graceful way, more tatty and rundown than an echo of halcyon days of yore. In saying that it was clean and the staff were pleasant without the 'attitude' you get from ritzier places. Breakfast is free but very basic - 3 strips of bacon (which was of a similar vintage to the building)/1 slice bread/1 egg and 1 cup of tea. For the price though and the location you could definitely do worse in Manila. Good for a one night stopover due to proximity to airport but I don't think I'd stay for an extended period of time.

Staff are friendly, efficient and helpful.
Having to pay php2000 deposit on check in. Some rooms near Roxas Blvd can be noisy
Although the Miramar is an old building, it has been refurbished tastefully. The rooms are well appointed, and have a small bar fridge and cable tv. The aircon units are wall mounted, and some of these aircon units are a little old, and are noisy at times. Traffic noise from Roxas Blvd can be a problem in some rooms, just make sure that when you check in you check that your room is near the near of the building.
The staff are naturally friendly and helpful, and each request is met promptly and efficiently.
Hotel Feature Tip : Be prepared to pay a php2000 deposit when checking in.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. rooms are clean.
Shower is not really hot. food is just so so. this is no problem there are alot of restaurants just in walking distance.
The hotel is located across the US embassy, around 20 minutes from the airport. Robinson shopping mall is just 10 minutes on foot. around the hotel are a lot of restaurants and coffee shops. during the night its quiet. the staff are very helpful and friendly. i can recommend the hotel, it's not expensive. if you are looking for a luxurious/fancy hotel there are a lot of other options in metro manila. I enjoyed my stay.
Shopping Tip : Robinson mall on 10 min walking, Mall of asia is 15 minutes by taxi.

Friendly and helpful staff.
The hotel staff are friendly and very accommodating.
The location was very hard to find especially because the hotel entrance is tucked away and the address given is a little misleading. Furthermore, nobody seemed to have heard of it, not even the cab driver.
It's an old hotel that needs a lot of work and a lot of upgrading. The lift worked very slowly and then didn't work at all. The water pressure in the shower was pitiful and there was a lack of hot water. The breakfast menu at the restaurant wasn't anything to shout about, and neither was the food there. I had one meal at the restaurant, and that was enough. I believe there are better places to stay at for the price.
Hotel Feature Tip : When giving directions to get there, mention that it's located on the corner of Roxas Boulevard and United Nations Street. The numbering doesn't help as the buildings are not in order.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The Hotel is conveniently located near US Embassy, and adjacent to the Malate area for dining and nightlife. Within 10 minutes walk of Robinsons Mall.
The old Gal is showing signs of wear and tear. The elevator does not serve the Ground floor, nor the Fifth floor, so one must use the stairs.
The Miramar Hotel is old, but it has been re-furbished tastefully. The staff are very helpful, courteous and friendly, without being over-bearing.
Some rooms are noisy from the traffic along Roxas Blvd, and if there are younger guests staying there, it can be noisy from a little boisterous activity.
Overall, it's not 5-Star, but then again, you're not paying 5-Star prices. It's good value for money, in a convenient location.

Nice clean, convenient room. Art deco theme
This is my 2nd stay at the Miramar hotel. Overall, I'm once again satisfied with my December 08 stay. However, the rate has gone up 30% since July 08 thus the hotel is no longer a bargain it once was. The staff asked if my girlfriend was going to stay the night even though she was just visiting. I didn't think this was very tactful of them.
Travel tip : Insist on a metered taxi. Many drivers too often turn it off hoping to make more. Ermita is not exactly a safe place so watch out!

Great price..worth and staff was very helpful.
Breakfast was not good, very cheap..comparing to other hotel as i have been stay other places.
First it was hard to go main gate..went other side, i think construction was going on. Hate security guard not telling where we have to enter, finally we figured it out. Check in staff was great, but when we check out staff was so rude, not even smiling. Any how, overall what you pay its ok. Thanks.
Shopping Tip : Robinson mall is just behind walking distances.. US Embassy just opposite side.. location is great.

the hotel is like a second home to us. the employees especialy on the front desk are friendly. the security guard is security concious. you feel safe even you left your room unlocked. with the kind of services they rendered, we are looking forward for another stay not only for an overnight but for a week. This time with my grandchildren.

Upon checking in was confronted with a unknow fact that this hotel required a 5000P deposit. This should be noted in the booking so that one does not have to go out prior to checking in and looking for a money exchanger to get the up front deposit.
Shopping Tip : with in walking distance to Robinson Mall and a short taxi ride to Mall of Asia

Really, you are better off staying somewhere else...there was a 5000 peso deposit, and the room was only 2500! Also, you have to pay for the internet...we got this on short notice and we were wrong! We stayed at much better places and it wasn't too more expensive!

Clean rooms and artistic 20's style decor.
I am very happy with this hotel. I stayed here in July 2008 paying 45 USD and for this price, the hotel delivered much better value than Best Western Corona and Executive Plaza hotel in the same area. The bathroom was remodeled and very clean! On the premise, the decor was 20's style with piped in soft music from that era. Next time in Manila, this is my hotel!
Nightlife Tip : Great location for the bar scene!
