Oxford Suites Hotel in Makati is very nice.
Some bugs around the room. Nothing to worry about.
Oxford Suites is right in the middle of the action in Makati. If your not there for the action, then go to Manila. The staffs were friendly and the free Breakfast was good. If you are the picky type. You might not like it. I will stay there again for my next trip. For the money, Oxford is the place to stay.
Nightlife Tip : Everything you want is right outside the hotel.

Slow staff at reception, not enough lifts in the building, poor location.
I wasnt overly impressed with this hotel although it does have some good points. The hotel is right in the middle of the red light area and is only a good location if youre looking for go go bars. When I checked in I was told I have to pay 2,000 Pesos deposit but it would be refunded on check out if no damages or room charges were outstanding. The receptionist then told me she would scan a copy of my credit card but not charge anything to the card until check out, and she then promptly charged 2,000 Pesos to my card which I had to sign for before I could get my room key!! I found reception staff to be pleasant enough, but very very slow in responding to any requests from my room.
I also had a problem with housekeeping staff, but to be fair, this was dealt with professionally and efficiently when I complained to the duty manager.
Breakfast was not overly impressive and the breakfast room is small, overcrowded and dirty.
The room was nice enough and high enough to avoid the noise at street level, a definate good point. However there are not enough lifts in the building and this resulted in long waits, particularly during breakfast hours.
Overall the hotel is nice enough, but it did not suit the requirements of myself and my partner and Id be unlikely to stay here again.

- accessible to central makati
- close to nightlife & good restaurants
- good service
- old hotel; needs renovation
- door locks are clumsy, and easily breakable
- no 24hr room service
Good hotel with easy accessibility to business areas & nightlife. Good service, and staff are professional. The hotel is old, and could use some redecor/renovation.

Food (but good nearby)
location (if you don't like bars and hassle)
The Oxford suites is on Burgos street the centre of nightlife in Makati. Although most of the bars are rip offs there are some good restaurants and sensible bars within easy walking distance (Woodmans Head (pub) Rogues (Bar) Le Teinde (Restaurant).
The hotel is a modern with good sized rooms and decent bathrooms etc. plus internet and full range of TV channels. The one problem is the lifts: with only 3 there are not enough lifts at busy times.
I have stayed here many times so it is my home from home in Manila

- Affordable
- close to business district & nightlife
- great service
- poor lobby & decor
- outdated furniture & appliances (especially the air-con)
- insufficient hotel transport options
Oxford suites is a good value for money proposition as it is very near the central business district in Makati. The location helps cut travel time in Manila peak traffic. Oxford is also located near the nightlife of Makati, and is a good place to unwind too. The hotel is old, and can use an uplift in terms of decor. Overall, the service is what sets the hotel apart.

Rooms are pretty spacious.
Beds are firm and comfortable.
Near pubs, bars and alot of eating establishments and also nearby shopping centres
The Bathtub that was in my room was abit yellowed...maybe due to age of the bathtub been in use for many years.
For family bookings i feel it will not be so appropriate as the red light district is just within walking distance. Good for singles or groups of friends who are out for some bar drinking etc.
I like the location of the hotel. As i was staying there with my Girl Friend, we found it convenient when we wanted to go anywhere. There was a 7-elevan just 10 meters away from the hotel and a further walk down P.Burgoes we could easily find good eating establishments in the A-Venue area. It is also not far from nearby malls like Glorietta and GreenBelt.
The rooms are very comfortable, aircon is good and cold. My GF had complained that the Air Con was too cold. The room service was prompt when we asked for the complimentary 1hour of free WIFI service.
I will recommend this hotel to anyone interested in enjoying the night life in Makati as well as shopping in the nearby malls.
Nightlife Tip : Bars, Karaoke and pubs are all just minutes walk from the doorstep of this hotel. If you are more adventurous, a short 5 mins walk will bring u to a more modern A-Venue eating and entertainment establishment which has Thai, Local and western cuisine and a couple of very good Clubs for chilling out.

Rooms are large. Bathroom is sufficient and with good lighting.
Very bad street noise. Room had a musty order. Carpet needs replacing.
I stayed on night on two different occasions while waiting for connections at NAIA airport. On this occasion I had a room on the 6th floor facing the street. The street noise with honking cars was very bad well into the night. I would suggest anyone who books this hotel request rear facing rooms to avoid this annoyance. The room also had a musty order even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room.

Very friendly and courteous staff.
Noisy surrounds.
Ageing facilities and decoration.
Location - right in the middle of night club and red light area.
Well - this hotel has large rooms but they all show signs of ageing. The decoration is oldish and the carpets are badly stained and really need a change.
The staff is very friendly and courteous in the typical Filipina fashion but hardly can make up for the below-average facilities.
The surroundings are noisy! There is a workshop nearby starting an hammering sound at 7 AM. The hotel is placed right in the middle of Makati red light district. As overall still a somehow satisfactory experience but this is a place not for family and not if you can't stand touts and red-light surrounds.

Location Location Location, price
Rooms were old, dirty and had cockroaches in.
the hotel is a good option for makati without paying 5 star rates. However the room i stayed in looked like it should be at a much cheaper rate.
The cockroach on my arrival was not welcomed. But for somewhere to crash close to the action its OK

Extremly good and friendly staff, clean, spacious rooms, with adequate bathrooms in terms of size as well as utilities.Location is excellent
I think the hotel entry staff( expecially doormen and bell boys) try to coax u to take'private taxi' even if you are going one bloack away, harping on secuirty as a issue. In reality, thse taxies are 3-6 times the normal fare! If u r not travelling after midnight, just hail a metered cab. THey are perfectly fine'
Its a very nice hotel , offering great comfort, security and above all, location. Nice friendly staff, clean spacious room, next door to the financial and entertainment district. I will definitely stay here again. THank you Agoda for a great rate and nice hotel
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : close to Gloretta mall, 30 Peso by cab. Great dining options

the oxford suites is about 30 minutes from
airport should cost about 700p for taxi,i arrived late afternoon and lots of traffic, the hotel reception is good, very helpful and can arrange taxi to airport can`t remember the price but it was expensive but at least the car is new, the executive room was very tired definetly needs renovating and the queen size bed is more like a double very small, dont rush to breakfast as it is definetly asian orientated with maybe the eggs the only thing that interested me.
Nightlife Tip : at the hotels doorstep expensive but convient.

Room is spacious and clean.
Needs remodeling, looks dated. Overpriced for area and quality. Breakfast is not that good so don't bother getting up in the morning.
Better value at other surrounding hotels.
Nightlife Tip : Bars and clubs are adjacent to hotel if you are into nightlife.

Surprised that there's no swimming pool and other facilities that a hotel should have. Room doors are still using key and not Card.
The hotel is ok, not to pricey. The staffs are friendly, esp there's one guy at the reservation (I couldnt recall his name). He suggested a few tourist attraction and really helpful during our stay there. Room doors are still using key, dont feel safe. Convenient to all bars, food outlet & convenience store. But find it slightly far to town centre
