Good location to a shopping mall; Nice and clean room; affordable price.
Friendly and helpful staffs; except the reception who shown little smile. The room in the hotel is small but clean. The hotel is near the manila bay. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to walk there and can enjoy the breeze and beautiful sunset there. Also it takes only 2 to 3 minutes walking distance to the Robinson shopping mall.

I was returning to the Palm Plaza not so much out of choice but because I had left my laptop with the hotel while I toured northern Luzon. Once again the hotel is very average with little to recommend it other than its location. On the other hand there are few issues that really rankle other than with a little effort and better management the hotel could be a whole lot better
Hotel Feature Tip : The laundry service is expensive and not particularly good. Similarly the cafe in the lobby. There are cheaper, better alternatives very close to the hotel.

The lift;
The karaoke bar in the lobby; The hawkers and beggars on the door step of the hotel
The Palm Plaza is very well located, just along the stereet from the Hyatt and its casino and next to the Las Palmas and other budget hotels. It is a 2 minute walk to Robinson's Mall and all its facilities. My agoda voucher got me a room on the Executive Floor, the 10th. You might think this was an advantage until you are introduced to the hotel lift which in the absence of a service lift takes ages and ages.
You should also be aware that the small bar in the lobby has a karaoke facility which is popular with the locals but it makes the lobby area a no go zone if the is a poor crooner on the mike.
Travel tip : The hotel laundry is expensive and not particularly good. The laundry shop outside the hotel is cheap and excellent.

Robinson's place is 3 mins. walk lots of places to eat or shop in supermarket. Wifi is free in the mall.
I hate roaches, this hotel has crawling about in daylight. They will also charge you 490 PHP per hour to use wifi. There is one small elevator to service 12 floors. That includes maintenance and housekeeping.
Staff at front desk are disorganized, Porters a bit too friendly, need to stay professional. Finally, its crazy to think that having arrived by metered yellow taxi from the airport at a cost of 190 PHP..that the hotel would charge 500 PHP for a return trip to the same airport in a similar car. Sends the wrong message. It's a clear rip-off. Wifi is NOT free will cost 490 PHP for 1 hour. Better walk 3 mins to Robinsons mall and log on free. With a good laptop, should be able to connect to Robinson's Place from your room. I did..Cheers! There is only one elevator for 12 floors. If you use the elevator, allow 7 mins. or longer wait depending on the time of day.
Restaurant Tip : Robinson's place good clean lots of shops and restaurants.

The location is good, centrally located.
Staff not friendly, noise, beggers in the street, feeling of getting cheated.
Our visit began with the rude front desk staff. They acted like it was a privilage to stay in their run down hotel and we should be thanking them for letting us stay. Then I find out that we have to pay for internet access - 240 peso for one hour! I later found out that internet cafes charge about 48 peso for an hour, thus the feeling of getting cheated. The room has okay, but small. The "hot" water wasn't really hot, but at least warm. They didn't have much in the way of tourist info at the hotel. The aircon was nice and cold at least and they gave you a free newspaper everyday. I really don't think this hotel deserves a 3 star rating. As I was checking out, I chated with other guests that were disappointed with the hotel as well. The beggers and hawkers outside the hotel were annoying, but there isn't much the hotel can do about that. I probably won't stay here again, but the price was probably pretty good for the location and the fact that it is in the heart of Manila. I would shop around for a better hotel.
Travel tip : Robinson's Plaza is close by. Plenty of good restaurants and shopping. We spent more time there than we planned. The opposite direction from Robinson's is the Hyatt Hotel, they have a Casino there with poker, black jack, craps, slots etc. Only about a 15 minute taxi ride to the Mall of Asia. Just make sure the taxi driver uses his meter.

location to shopping and restaurants
The security staff was acted absolutely ridiculous when my friend brought a guest back with him. They would not allow her in the hotel and then made up an assanine story how the manager would have them fired. The front desk contradicted the story and it was clear their childish actions were based upon them wanting a bribe. They are totally corrupt...do not stay here!
I will never stay at this hotel again. I have stayed there in the past and never had any problems. The rooms are clean and the hotel is in a great location two blocks from the mall. However, the corrupt nature of the security staff has jaded me so terribly that i will never stay tehre again and recommend to anyone that they find a different hotel.

Is affordable & always easy accessable on the web.
You try once booking at their web & you will never
forget their best services!
Hope they can improve their drop off by extending
their space & add some life in their coffeehouse.
Is best at Manila town you can find a hotel which locate Robinson shopping centre few hundred yards away & A 5 star casino (Hyatt) at a walking distance. Food is also easy to find & 7-11 convenience store is right in front too.Taxi service is so convenience and lastly SECURITY is
also there at the door step to assist you 24 hrs!

cheap room good location close to mall.
room was dirty, floor in bathroom had hair everywhere, a broken glass was in the room when we got there that i had to pay for.
if it wasn't for the price of the room i would not have stayed there, and will probably never stay there again. the room was not clean, we were charged for a glass that was broken when we got there, the hot water was warm at best and the noise in the room keep us up most of the night, unless you just want a cheap room i would not recommend this hotel for anyone.
Shopping Tip : robinson mall has some good deals and places to eat.

Friendly staff and close to nightlife and harbour
Slow lifts, food smells very strongly of coconut oil.
Clean hotel close to the harbour and good variety of resturants. The lifts are slow. The rooms are small but clean. The staff are good here and welcoming. There is a lack of constant hot water in the rooms, so if you like cold showers it would suit. As with most Philippine hotels, the food is not really aimed at Westerners. All the food is cooked in coconut oil which can be quite offensive to westerners.
Nightlife Tip : Lots of close by night life

Clean and tidy room with large bed and good mini bar, close to Robinsons Plaza Mall, plenty of restaurants in the mall.
This hotel is in a run down area where you are constantly molested by beggars and someone trying to sell you something. The hotel WIFI cards only last a limited time so buy the small amounts.
The common areas of the hotel are very tired and in need of a revamp, the complimentary breakfast is basic and only luke warm because it is plated and brought from the kitchen. The staff are mainly friendly and helpful except the reception who struggle to find a smile. None of the four wifi cards I bought lasted the duration marked. It is good for budget minded travellers looking for a reasonable all round package.

Nicely priced and within walking distance of Robinson mall, everything from cheap (at the mall) to fine dining (Hyatt); Bars; Great massage place just across the street.
Service is VERY slow; Rooms are quite \"used\"; Aircon in room is noisy and blows air straight into your head.
Beside the Pros and Cons all in all the hotel is reasonable for the price; If you want more stay at Hyatt or Pan Pacific.. If you want less stay at some of the hostels nearby. In terms of value for money this place is okay.. Convenience is primary.. You hardly need a taxi to go anywhere.
Restaurant Tip : The Tenderloin at restaurant \"Fireplace\" at Hyatt is the best I ever had..
