The Grand lobby area and restaurant, Excellent amenities ands impeccable service, Security. The Peninsula in Manila has service standards equal to those found anywhere. Excellent restaurants. While rooms have been refurbished over the years, you can't refurbish plumbing and air con systems which do not meet the standard of new hotels. Overall, a pleasant stay

Excellent rooms and great staff nice food AS i suffer from asthama the polution from the trafic triggered an attack and the hotel nurse was excellent brought me to Maketi Cenre hospital for treatment and during that night was able to provide a nebuliser on 4 differant occasions before I was admitted to hospital whic then cured me. I cannot thank the staff of the hotel enough for their kindness and attention

The Peninsula is one of the leading hotel chains in the world. The Peninsula is part of history and has a rich heritage. The Peninsula Manila was only built in the 70's and shows today the highest standards in regards of the building, their personnel and their quality of service. This is why the Peninsula is the first choice for meetings of business men and politicians. This is also the prime location for social gatherings. I wont mention all the positive aspects, because in Peninsula you get what you expect. Don't forget to size your wallet based on the quality you get. Whatever you do in Manila, once you check in the Peninsula, you feel different.
If you have business to do, this is the best place to get prepared, all the necessary is available.
If you have some free time, step in and you feel like on vacation. The pool area is a get away- you dont really feel like in the middle of the city, once you sit down there. In any case, I would not check in to a different hotel, if you dont really have to for other reasons.
Hotel Feature Tip : There is nothing you won't find in walking distance at the GLorietta Mall.
I highly recommend this location!

The ambience apon entering the lobby is warm and inviting. From the dramatic architecture to the live music ensemble playing on the 2nd floor balcony we felt relaxed and excited all at once. We were made to feel like royalty, thank you Manila Penn. One of the waitresses during the breakfast buffet suggested we hurray up and take all our food immediately, as the buffet was closing. "Who tells their guest(s) to hurray up at a 5 star hotel?" Food was average! The effort put into the ambiance of the lobby, apon entering the Manila Penninsula is fantastic. One is made to feel like royalty; from the security to the bellman to the bellboy(s) to the doorman, to the front desk/concierge we were treated with respect and professionalism. Accomodating but not intrusive, for any special occasion or a business meeting we would highly recommend the Manila Penn. Thank you for a job well done.
Shopping Tip : Glorietta and Greenbelt are literally across the street, shopping is reasonable, and foreigners will find the selection to be very good.

I am happy to note that the breakfast is again served in the Entrance Foyer versus a small restaurant as on a previous stay. Consistently a grand experience with courtesey, sincere smiles and service always available. It is always difficult to find a flaw in this hotel, there is actually no flaw but a request. This hotel has one on the biggest bathrooms and tubs available and I would love to have some bubble bath for the bath tub. This would truly provide a luxurious experience. I work for the USA hotel industry, and have stayed at this hotel every time I come to Manila, It is truly one of the if not the best lodging/ hotel facility in Manila that you can pay for.. forget all the others!... this hotel has 1st Class, service, amenities, security and all that you wish for can be provided.
Shopping Tip : In terms of shopping opportunities, Glorietta and Greenbelt malls are within a 10 min walking distance and they provide all levels of shopping experiences, from economy dept. stores to the most elite shops available in the Philippines, no need to stay any where else.

Staff service is well beyond the norm. The building is old and shower plumbing reflects that on occasion. The Peninsula in Manila has service standards equal to those found anywhere. Clean, newly renovated, luxurious, great service, nice swimming pool. Very costly in comparison to area. This is one of the top two hotels in Makati (the other is Shangri-la). The hotel is very luxurious and provides great service. The rooms are clean and newly renovated. With all these amenities, however, comes the cost. The price of the rooms and all the extra charges are very expensive for Manila. The airport transfer, restaurants, spa, and business service center is extremely costly and much more even compared to other hotels.
Shopping Tip : Cross the street (take underground walkway) to shop at the multiple malls connected together.

Beautiful interior - friendliness of the staff My stay at the Peninsula was most enjoyable. From the minute I arrived, I knew this would be a most enjoyable experience. There was no waiting and the staff was one of the best you could hope for. The furnishings were beautiful and the lobby was especially appealing. This 5 star hotel was truly a 6 star experience. My only regret is that I could not stay longer to enjoy all the amenities at the Peninsula. It was a wonderful trip.

The Grand lobby area and restaurant, Excellent amenities ands impeccable service, Security. 1-The breakfast restaurant located next to the pool seemed cold and inconsistent with the grandness ot the rest of the hotel, may I recommend new wall paper instead of paint, wooden chairs instead of metal, and a few paintings and grand size fixtures... the food and service were adequate.2- I stayed in room 745 and although impeccable in cleanliness and fixtures (FF&E) I would appreciate your room control service system to be upgraded to include a jack to connect my Ipod. It will help the ambiance of your room. ( I can connect my Ipod to your exercise equiptment why not your room system.
I am a Director for one of the largest hotel chains in the World and I have stayed at this property 5 times and am never disappointed. It is certainly one of the most grandest and most hospitable hotels in the World. Shopping Tip : This property is only a mere 10 min walk from some of the most affordable shopping in Glorietta and also some of the best upscale boutique shopping available in the Phillipines just across the street.

Restuarants are very pricy, particularly when the cost of meals in Manila can be quite cheap.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : This is not really a sightseeing location, as say the Intramuros is about 30-45 minutes away. Western style shopping/eating is just over the road.
