Convenient to airport but bare bones amenities
Convenient for overnight stay in Manila

We take at least two major (10 days or more) trips a year, usually for scuba diving. This was our first trip to the Philippines. We had to overnite in Manila and stayed at the Remington on our return flight. We were impressed with the proximity to Terminal 3, as well as the look of lobby and the efficient check-in by the staff. The concierge was also very polite in arranging our early morning transport to Terminal 1 and the porters assisted with our luggage with a smile. That is where the compliments end. The room was quite damp upon entering and there was no way to moderate the temperature. The A/C was on or off. We turned it on and left the room in order to get dinner. Upon returning, the room and sheets were still clammy and there was only one thin blanket on each double bed; but we needed to sleep, so we doubled up the blanket on each bed and settled in. We slept all right once our body heat warmed up the sheets. For amenities, we were each given one bath towel, one bar of soap, a pair of one-size-fits-all slippers, a toothbrush, small toothpaste, and a bottle of water. So much for taking a quick shower before dinner because we needed to "save" the towel for the following morning. And who doesn't travel with a toothbrush? There wasn't even an alarm clock in the room! For $125 per night, we were expecting a room that was a bit more outfitted with basic amenities (y'know, a couple more towels, a wash cloth...).
Travel tip:
grudingly would stay here again if we absolutely had to stay overnight in manila. you're paying for location only.

small rooms simple hotel

pleasant.family friendlysimple lines simple hotel obby but clean and friendly environment. the airpoort transfer is convenient and superb the bellmen courteous and nice. rooms are simple no fuss first time to be in a room like this with no dresser and no bar / refrigerator but i guess this is for no feature kind of room which i probably wont mind but the cost of the room must be at least a thousand lower if these feautres are absent.

The Remington Hotel (and Maxim's) at Resorts Worls is the closest hotel to NAIA Terminal 3. When flying to Manila, this is something you might want to check as the 4 terminals are not connected to each other. PAL and Cebu Pacific flights (along with a few other smaller airlines) use the new Terminal 3 but most major airlines like Cathay Pacific and Delta still fly into Terminal 1. The cab ride from Terminal 1 to the Remington via the yellow metered taxis at the Airport came out to about PhP160 or $4 US.
The Remigton's lobby was nice and clean, the staff was great. The room was small but clean--it had 2 double beds but no desk or extra chair like you would normally see in other hotels. I was there for less than 12 hours so it did it's job. I would probably want a bigger hotel room if I was staying there with family for more than a day or 2.
Overall the price was decent, you definitely pay for proximity to the Airport. I actually stayed here 2 different times for on this trip for this reason. If you have a little more time and want to see more of Metro Manila then I would recommend staying in Makati or the Fort for almost the same price...but maybe not if you're taking a cab during rush hour.

Great price for a lovely hotel

Very clean hotel with a hospitable staff. The location is very strategic, near the airport and near shoppping centers. Inside Resorts world is very inviting, the night life is full of fun with the casino is just around the corner, shopping centers, good restaurant at its best. I have really value for my money and its worth coming back to this hotel.

comfortable firm mattress. confusing room layout. walls must be thin as i could hear cell phones ringing and toilets flushing from adjacent rooms. no washcloths or hand towels provided. very bare and spartan. a good place if you just need somewhere to lay and rest.

We stayed 2 nights to enjoy New Year countdown 2012. Hotel room includes basic furnishing. No stool, no ref, no bath tub. Bed, and TV only. Aircon was centralized. I was chilling at dawn. Ideally this is good for stranded passengers only. Not for relaxation..

"Great location but small rooms"

Lobby is very nice. Room was ok but bathroom very small with poor lighting. No hot water. I booked and paid thru Agoda but the hotel personel were confused (or I was) and charged me again. I'm still trying to recouple the double charge a week later. Great location though.

Disappointing, poor service, basic room

We booked a room at Remington under a New Year package which included complimentary Internet. Upon check in we were given as many log in accounts as we wanted. On January 1st, they changed their policy about their Internet thus they started charging per log in. The duty manager met with us and he finally gave in and provided us 2 Internet cards for 12 hours each. We mentioned to him that we both would need Internet access however he said that he'll get back to us. Never got an update/phone call from him.
