Big hotel but poor service & quality

I want to tell that I was not too happy with a few things during my stay on 09/02/2012,OK firstly there no mineral or plain water provided in the room.Not even coffee/tea bags to make drinks as where all other hotels provide.

the room was clean & seems like it's just been renovated. check in process was relative swift and efficient. room service was tard slow. however location of hotel is close vicinity to great restaurants in mabini / malate area.
Shopping Tip:
walking distance to robinsons mall & smack in middle of night life area.

a short drive from the airport and located in busy mabini street lined with delightful restaurants and shops, riviera welcomes its guests with a calm, relaxing atmosphere.
from the moment you are welcomed by our friendly staff at the lobby to when you soak yourself in the tub, and slip into our bed, you'd know that you're in a very rare place. because very few can be at the very center of this bustling city, but still be able to provide an elegant escape from it all.

initially, they gace us a small room. we told them we paid for room for three single beds. after much talking, they changed room for us. the front desk staff not friendly but it is bearable cos they are not our girlfriends or wives.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
go to borocay. beautiful place and relaxing.

Very average hotel with limited amenities

There is a Robinson Mall nearby and there are lots of night clubs and bars in this area. Not exactly safe at night, so exercise prudence when walking about after dark as there are many pickpockets and aggressive panhandlers. During day time it is safe however. There are few casinos around this area. Upon check-in, I was originally given a studio near the noisy street with no bathtub but after complaining, I was given a backside room with a bathtub. Had a good night rest. The rooms that are renovated are OK, a little below average compared to other modern rooms in same price range. Although I liked the bathtub. There are no in-room safe however so you must use the hotel lobby one. Overall, I think for the price I paid, it was too expensive given there are better deals next door and nearby. Also, the wifi was not FREE which was a big negative for me.

it is a good hotel, very convenient to the mall and entertainment areas and also near manila bay--but manila bay baywalk is under repair. we encounter problem with the front desk for not reviewing their documents. they wanted to charge us for another breakfast coupon which was already paid. in their restaurant for 3 breakfast meals we noticed that they loved to serve faster the white colored skin guys even if we came earlier than them to the dining area. so far so good. the room we occupied is comfortable enough. good for what you paid for.

i had a wonderful stay in this hotel, the bed is comfy and the toilet has bathtub and hot shower. the staff were friendly and accommodating. the hotel is located just infront of a casino, and a walking distance to a big modern shopping mall.
Nightlife Tip:
The hotel is strategically located in Malate area where bars and nightclubs were concentrated.
