Rooms smelt like cigarette smoke We thought that the service at the Somerset was excellent and the location was good as well. It was a short walk to the Greenview Mall which has excellent shopping and dining. The location is also good if you need to stop by any embassies that are in the area as well. We also felt the security was solid as well.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Be patient with the heavy traffic in the area surrounding the hotel and with the taxi drivers who don't know where they are going.

Very Clean rooms
Friendly and helpful staff
Great location Everything about this hotel was great. I don't have a bad thing to say at all. I will stay here again and again when in Manila. Friendly staff, clean rooms and great location. Breakfast bar was perfect, plenty of choice and good food. The resturant at the locaton has excellent food and a great staff as well. You would not be disappointed if you saty here.

Very clean, large and well appointed rooms; Easy check in and check out; Good security; It was my first time to stay in this hotel. Because of my trip, I arrived very late in the evening. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff treated me very well, it made me feel like a VIP. I stayed in a nice and quiet room; it was large, very clean, and well-appointed-- even elegant. They have good security, and that is a plus. Breakfast is included and you have a choice of 2 restaurants at the first floor where to have it. Check in and check out was very easy. I will definitely stay here again.
Hotel Feature Tip : This hotel is in a good, safe location. You would feel safe about staying with your kids here.

Service. Very enjoyable stay at the Somerset Olympia in Makati - Manila, Philippines. The room, a studio double room, was very acceptable, - furnished and equipped to a good standard. Service was fine without being exceptional. Security in the hotel and in the area was very visible, and it made the area, which is a very pleasant part of the city, feel very safe and comfortable. Wireless internet was available but only in the lobby area.
Shopping Tip : local shopping centre has all major shops and restaurant chains in a manageable area.

Be greeted by a friendly,helpful staff at reception.Convenient modest breakfast included.Lucky to be offered an upgrade on arrival.A spacious,clean property.across the road from Makati's vibrant Greenbelt shopping and eating area. Although a little older now these apartments are stiil hard to beat for moderate price and position! Only 20 minutes from the airport in the heart of the city;an Agoda value reidence.

Nice and soft bed very clean room, it's very near the mall walking distance the rooms facing the street have a lot of street noise breakfast needs improvement the selections are to small and the two ladies serving breakfast seemed so angry and they would not man there cooking egg station one morning. over all I enjoyed my stay at Somerset Olympia hotel the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable I was on the 6th floor facing the street there were 2 big windows facing the street so at night there was a lot of street noise because the glass in the windows are not sound proof I was expecting a tub in the bathroom according to my reservations but instead it was a glass stand up shower there also was a microwave oven instruction manual inside of my room but no microwave I found that very strange. But a microwave is not necessary because the mall is walking distance from this hotel, there is a small pool and a small hot tub but they didn't leave me a bath robe so I could walk down to the pool, I didn't bother to swim because I just came from Boracay but I'm sure if you asked the front desk they would put one in your room the breakfast is very simple and the 2 ladies serving breakfast seemed very angry for some reason I was upset at the front desk one night because they told me that the Swiss resturant was open during labor day Friday 5/1/09
but when I went to check they were closed

through agoda I have find the good prices and give me the correct information for the hotels where I have stay. I stay in 2 hotels in manila last month, but I face some problems in one of them like they charge us even for the necessary things like using an adaptor, and they charge for me for some red stain in the bed.
the most important to us to know if the break fast and internet line including with agoda price or not
any way I m going again end of this month to manila, I hope I can get the hotel including the internet line.

Not much choice for breakfast. Ants in the room. Location not convenient. Floors look dirty. Pool too small. Overall it was ok. difficult to get cab to get to town. Taxi charges are expensive. Staffs are helpful & friendly.No Wi-Fi access. Breakfast not much choice. Not much shops are the area.

Excellent Customer Service, comfy bed, very close to major malls in Makati, very safe Breakfast buffet needs improvement and needs more gym equipment. Customer Service is excellent! The place was very clean. We felt like we were at a 5 star hotel. Very comfortable and very close to the major malls in Makati. It was our 2nd stay there and look forward to staying there in the years to come.

I always like to have own kitchen. You can get homy feeling for long stay. The also have wasing machine but process was so compricated that it wasted my time. Breakfast is simple but it won´t be a big probrem because you have kitchen in your room. I wanted to have enough hot water for shawer time.
Restaurant Tip : Old Swiss Restaurant Bar is great! You can find it just upstairs.

Location in Manila, reasonable pricing Road noise, restaurant needed refurbishing We were simply overnighting on our way to Boracay. We chose the Somerset Olympia for two reasons. First because of location - Makati is a safe neighborhood and it is close to the airport, but not so close that you are right under the airplanes. Second, it offers a 3-1/2 star rating at a reasonable price. We generally would choose a 4 star hotel but felt it was not required for a quick one night stay. The room was clean and well furnished, although a bit noisy as we had a room right on a busy street. There are many wings to the hotel, it would be worth asking for a room in a quieter wing if you were staying longer. We ate breakfast in the Old Swiss Inn, the food was average, however the upholstery is very tired and needs refurbishing. Checkin and check out were both efficient, and the staff in the restaurant were friendly.

Security was excellent. Room and bathroom was very clean and spacious. Great friendly staff.Money's worth. Location was very convenient, close to Glorietta and Green belt, walking distance. Hot water was not hot enough. TV reception was abit fuzzy. We were very impressed with the studio room. It comes with a mini balcony as well. Aircon worked fine, bed was comfortable, and room was spacious. Location was great. Staff were always courteous, attentive and friendly. Overall,a very enjoyable stay.
Nightlife Tip : From the hotel, not only can you walk to the shopping area, you can walk to the red light district which is where all the bars and clubs are. Don't worry it's really safe.

- breakfast is a bit boring after a couple of days; need more variety in the menu I recently needed to spend a few days in Manila for unanticipated business. How do you find an affordable, convenient hotel with less than 24 hours notice? From my online booking through Agoda, to arrival and smooth check-in by well-trained staff, on through my enjoyable stay and efficient, rapid check-out, this was a pleasant experience. Will definitely use the Somerset Olympia again and recommend it to my colleagues and friends.
Shopping Tip : Ayala Malls are walking distance (3-4 blocks)

it was right across where the fireworks of makati's 2009 new year countdown was launched... great food at the old swiss innn... excellent staff... nothing much at its price... this hotel gave us the opportunity to experience the fireworks of makati's 2009 new year countdown... we were right smack across where it was launched... we had great new year's dinner at the old swiss inn ... the staff are very courteous and went their extra mile to give us excellent service... me and my family were happy of our experience at this hotel...

twas the best for the New Year occasion... my family celebrated our new year in this hotel... makati 2009 fireworks was launched along the street of this hotel... but to top it, the hotel staff were all fantastic... doing their best to do the extra mile... nothing much... something i expected for its price... twas a good value for money... what i love most about the hotel is their very hospitable staff.. always cheerful, courteous and doing the extra mile for their guests... secondly, the hotel is very clean, cool at its price... thirdly, we have always loved dining at the old Swiss inn, a restaurant right by the hotel...
