lifts are very very slow. be patient. quite noisy till late in the night. traffic in the evening can be very bad going to and from the hotel. hotel is relatively well maintained but the rooms are smaller then the rooms at other establishments nearby.

Nice hotel. Clean rooms, but very small.
clean, great staff, nice price.
7.7
This was the first time I stayed at St. Giles and I was pleasantly surprised. It's very clean, but the rooms are small. The location is great with Shakey's located across the street. If you like to party, Burgous street is located around the corner. Staff was very friendly and I enjoyed my stay.
Nightlife Tip:
The hottest nightclubs for men are around the corner. Get ready to spend some money, though. The best location is Bottoms...hottest ladies, but very expensive. If you have the money to spend...it's worth it. If you are on a budget...you may want to go to Manila Bay Cafe in Malate.

nice hotel and great staff. however, there are four elevators and at the time i was there only one worked. it took 20 minutes to get to the 2nd fl from the 10th flr. serious problem with the elevators. also, no concern that the elevators were not working.
Restaurant Tip:
Pretty good food, excellent bartender and staff. Very attentive.

Bad service , the elevator was not working properly and no managers seem to care about it. From an other client (regular guest) I heard the same complanings, that was a problem since the first time he checked in, he said that definetely will change hotel next time. He makes me thinking also about this unpleasant matter and moreover considering to change on my next visit to Manila.

semiclean, location with easy access in and out to other places in Makati and Ortigas

I have not big expectations of this hotel being a 3 starts hotel and knowing the quality of the hotels in the Philippines.
I choose it because it was the only available in those days but I move out as soon as I could, for good I may say.
Check in was rather easy since it was pre-paid, but the room I booked was not available.
-No problem sir, I will upgrade you, -the receptionist said- but I don't have a single bed, it has to be with twin beds. First issue.
The room appear to be clean and neat. Fairly new. The bed was comfortable, yet small. Fro a 3 start the room was reasonably spacious. the bathroom was not that so. It was difficult to open and close the door with you inside and getting into the bath tub was a delicate maneuver since you have to step from the door to the middle without slipping. You can access the bath tub from the side because the WC is right there.
The bathroom was not that clean and they did not replace the bath soap in two days.
The internet was difficult to open, and the wifi was not reaching the area of the Executive rooms.
I asked the receptionist to change my room before I open my suitcase, but I gave up after one hour and of course they never call me back. The day after I asked why they did not call me. He said he was waiting for my confirmation (?). In the evening I have to make an extension since the other hotel was not available until the day after, so I ask to get a change of the room. A new receptionist, she was telling me I can stay in that room but since my booking is for another kind I have to move the following day. Bizarre, I thought. After all and after confirmation with the manager she "allowed" me to stay in that room (?).
The room was noisy and a lot of things are going on in the middle of the night, so if you have a light sleep like me you will get disturbed by doors opening and closing, people talking etc. I was also in a connecting room but the door was so thin I could hear the other people in
Travel tip:
Some staffs were trying, but in general they are poorly trained. So don’t put your expectations too high.
Don’t get the breakfast, you can get better deals around the area for less money.

Lovely hotel and clean rooms

Hotel is near everything a traveler needs. Money changer is just opposite the hotel. 7 Eleven is also just around the corner. Night entertainment is just walking distance.

Very nice room and good service
Very ncie room - very good staff
7.3
The hotel was very good - a little costly to rent a meeting room and meals a little much for the area but otherwise good hotel. The onlt bad thing was a horrible internet connection. It needs to be fixed if I am to stay there again for business as the internet is critical.
Nightlife Tip:
Good nightlife area for sure!

Good hotel,
Nice clean hotel, good price.

There were 3 agents when I arrived in the evening and just one other person ahead of me, none of them asked if they could help me so I just walked up myself. I was given a smoking room with 2 single beds when I initially booked for 1 bed and non-smoking. This was corrected the next morning. Customer service was alot friendlier in the morning then in the evening.
Rooms were clean for the most part, although they had to change a bed sheet due to some stain on the sheet. Housekeeping was quick to change the sheets.
Restaurant on the 2nd floor was good. Food and waiters were great.
The only issue I had was the elevator. It was quite small, maybe held up to 8 people max and it was slow. We stayed on the 29th floor and I probably waited about 5 minutes for the elevator.
Hotel is close to shopping.
