everthing about this hotel was fresh and bright including the staff and i am happy to give it full points except in one area. do not be lulled into a false sense of security by the fact that the number of the taxi that collects you from the hotel is written down and presented to you with the instruction that if you leave anything behind or if you have a problem just call the hotel and it will be dealt with. i foolishly left my mobile phone in a cab and upon realising i had done so went to the airport tourist police who phoned the hoetl and immediately gave them the number of the cab. when i returned from my flight to the province i returned to the hotel to see if they had been able to retrieve my phone from the cab company. i was not surprised that there was no phone, but i was extremely annoyed that nobody knew anything about it !! the call from the police had not been logged and it seemed no attempt had been made at recovery. on the positive side i had neglected to specify a non smoking room and the staff at first said there was nothing they could do as the hotel was fully booked ... however the female duty manager worked on this problem for at least 15 mins and somehow managed to rearrange things so i was moved to a non smokimg floor for which i was very thankful as the smell in the room and on the smoking floor was unbearable. if you are a fresh air breather and do not like to be on a smoking floor do not forget to specify that for this hotel.

St. Giles hotel is the perfect place for business travelers. No frills. But it has everything you need.
The rooms are very tiny and the parking spaces even tinier! However, if you are not one to spend much time in the hotel room for rest and relaxation and if business takes you outside the confines of the hotel, then this is perfect.

The hotel's location is very convenient. It's very safe. The rooms are well lit and provides sufficient space and clean. The aircon is not too cold - just nice. The housekeeping follows strictly to instructions whether to make or leave the room.
The only draw back is the breakfast hall - which is tiny for a relatively big hotel like St Giles. The breakfast menu is very limited. However, the service of the staff at the breakfast restaurant was excellent.
Overall - Very Good
Nightlife Tip:
Lots of bars nearby to enjoy a cool beer, priced at PHP 99.

My stay at the St Giles was a great experience, the room was beyond expectation with a great view of the city. The staff was very helpful and location was good for my travels.
Restaurant Tip:
Just down the street are some great restaurants, I suggest asking the guards or the hotel staff for suggestions to find what you are looking for before jumping in a taxi as many places are near.

the hotel is in business area of makati. the distance to nearby department store (glorietta, greenbelt, and etc) is not too far but traffic is bad. room is comfortable, clean but small. room rate is ok with abf and free wifi.

Mainla can be a difficult place to feel safe and secure but this hotel is very safe and very secure. The rooms are very clean and are well appointed. The staff is professional and the food prepared at the hotel was good. The Monday through Saturday Jazz in the lounge was a nice touch.
The pool and the gym on the roof was very cool!
