Within reasonable distance from Airport;
Less traffic noise than some competitors
Clean and comfortable
Polite, helpful staff
No major drawbacks come to mind
Traders Hotel is located about 30 minutes by taxi from the international airport. Situated on Roxas Blvd, it did not seem as noisy as some of its competitors, at least in the non smoking room which I was allocated. There is a strong but polite security presence on arrival. Rooms are comfortable, clean and tidy, and do not appear as “tired” as some other Manila hotels. Prompt service at breakfast, with a slightly better selection of items from the buffet than I have seen in other Manila hotels.

Beautiful views, excellent staff. Fantastic breakfast buffet.
Location is quite far from anything but a group of bars.
Trader's is a nice, clean hotel on Roxas Boulevard overlooking Manila Bay. Access was a bit of a problem as the service road was torn up to install a water line. My room was clean, airy and had twin beds pushed together to make a King size. The breakfast buffet was varied with Japanese, Filipino & Western dishes. Traffic in the area was horrendous.
Shopping Tip : The SM mall of Asia was about 20 minutes away by car through trully awful traffic, but was well worth the visit. Literally hundreds of stores, restaurants and specialty shops.

Great room with a little view. Nice cafe for entertainment. Good selection of in-house restaurants (sushi), coffee.
Good location to get out of the hotel and stroll. Manila Bay close by, Rizal Park in 5 minutes by taxi.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Centrally located along Roxas Blvd. Great if you like to stroll to restaurants and sightseeing spots. Ask for a room w/ a view of Manila Bay.

Hospitality staff are excellent. Food is generally of very acceptable quality. Close to the Mega Mall and other useful amenities.
Decor is very dated in general. Carpets were stained/burned in many places. Shower adjustment was broken and no maintenance guy repaired despite of it being reported when I arrived.
Internet connection is probably one of the worst - though it doesn't disconnect, you'd certainly wish it had due to speeds being some of the slowest experienced. Not very helpful when downloading emails with attachments of *any* size.
The hotel is in a great location for most things you may need or want to see. Situated right on the harbour, you can get a room with a really nice view.
The staff are very helpful and understanding of most needs of the business traveler and will in many case put themselves out to assist where possible.
The room I was allocated was a bit of a let-down. The carpets were ruined, showerhead attachment was broken on arrival and never repaired and there was an intermittent knocking coming from the elevators (which was thankfully repaired by 3am - just enough time to catch up on some sleep for an otherwise restless night).
I was in two minds to either never return to this hotel or not. However, on reflection, I would certainly use them for one more try. Just be picky about your room and I'm sure you'll have a great experience.
Hotel prices are somewhat expensive to other comparable hotels and their internet connection is atrocious to the extent that an small 100Kb file attached to an email took 10 minutes to arrive and anything larger was always corrupted on arrival. These were really my only gripes with my stay. It was otherwise and well staffed hotel which takes pride in it's overall cleanliness and customer service.
Hotel Feature Tip : If you are checking-in, dont fall for their "upgrade" to their Golden Circle sales pitch. For a bowl of fruit and 50% off breakfast (which I never had) will set you back an extra 2000 pesos. It gives very little in return, not even your room is upgraded - I was still accommodated in a Standard Room for my 26,000 pesos upgrade.

Room is clean and comfort
Room smell is not so nice, no shopping mall around this area
The club room of this hotel is very comfort. Staffs in Club house floor are professional, they could provide an impressive service during my staff for two nights. Hotel needs to improve the smell of the room. I will definitely come back to stay here for my business trip but not good for holiday as there is no shopping mall around the hotel.

Lobby looks confortable. Bell man was very kind.
I was very looking forward to use this hotel because it's something connected with Shangrila hotel. but pool and spa looks so sad. And They offered room charge that we did not order.( up grade, we ordered just 1night special pack, but they charged 2nights. we complained about this but they said just "no". Too bad experience. I have never had experience like this.
This hotel is very closed to the international airport and mall of asia. But we could not satisfied with hotel staff(front) attitude. That was very bad experience.

the lotus garden hotel is conveniently located in malate only a short walk from robinson's. the rooms were nice, good value for the price. within walking distance of st luke's hospital if you have business there. they offer a free breakfast but unfortunately the food was just not up to par.
recommend the lotus garden for those who are on a budget and require a convenient location in malate.

We stayed for 2 nights on the Club floor. The location was very near to the Corregidor Ferry where we met friends for a day trip. The view from the room was very good and the Club lounge was excellent. Staff were superb and really made up for the old rooms. They are undergoing a 2 year renovation project which should bring the hotel up to par. The breakfast buffets were good but the one night we ate dinner there it was mediocre. It's close to the airport and the location has good access to the Manila Bay area, good for walking.
I'm not sure we would book there again until after renovation.
Restaurant Tip : There are a lot of restaurants across the street at the Manila ferry terminal. Starbucks is there too.

Excellence and expediency in hotel services, good restaurants with excellent cuisines.
Traffic is a problem going to the airport from the hotel.
A soft down blanket on a comfy bed is synonimous to Traders Hotel in Manila to a weary traveller, in terms of expediency of excellent hotel staff service, the personalized service afforded a gold card member, choice and convinience of in-house restaurants and business area location. The spick and span room with its comfortable bed and luxurious ammenities, offers an excellent view of the area with the welcome fruit and wine basket that is highly appreciated and needed.
Travel tip : Do not venture out at night on foot. Avail of the free hotel shuttle to and from the airport and leave very early because traffic is a problem.

Probably would not recommend this hotel. I did not see a standard room but i would not recommend spending extra for a club room.
