Friendly hotel with great service

a very pleasnt stay in a compact hotel and i was impressed by the facilites and excellent service.the iron and board in the hotel room was a welcome addition.so was the fruit basket and newspapers.

i was here for a conference at picc which was a walking distance from this hotel. the room was nice and very conducive for me to do my work with complimentary access to internet. i just love it. will come again if there is opportunity to be in manila. cheers

Nice hotel with friendly staff

I booked 5 nights (1+2+2) for different days this trip. When I came back for 1 extra night, front office tried to sell me the Club Room as walk in and charged me a much higher rate than my booked room rates.
Still, overall a great hotel. Kudos to the front butler who did not hesitate to lend me some money to settle taxi fare as I had no small change. That is the extra mile.

efficient and up-market hotel

the checking was expedient and effecient and all the service
smiling staff on their toes to ensure a pleasant stay - I had
requested a smoking room and it was readily available - it becomes more and more difficult smokers to find suitable hotels no a days - instead of a city view the hotel upgraded me to a Manila Bay view - all the facilities in the room and
the bath room were up to the highest standard which is also expected from such a hotel being part of an upmarket group -
the check out was also efficient - I took a city taxi to the
airport costing pesos 200 and that took about 15 minutes - all
in all a very pleasamt stay !

you see smiles everywhere. all staff are friendly and helpful.nice room but small toilet. the glass divider is not able to prevent water splashing onto bathroom floor. ug. wet all over.

Easy to reach, good service and fine food

Good stay, correct service, I stayed as a stop-over waiting for the connection to Europe next morning. The express laundry was perfect and fast (3 hours), service with a big smile.
Shopping Tip:
Close to Robertson mall and mall of Asia...........

Nice hotel, let down by poor communication

Traders is a nice hotel and we've stayed there before. Food is lovely, and there are now more restaurants close by as well.
They do seem to have a challenge understanding the difference between double and single beds. We wanted a double bed, and they put us in a twin room (2 singles), and were adamant that they were 2 x double beds. We did get moved after a couple of phone calls to a room with a double bed.
Shopping Tip:
Mall of Asia is only a short cab ride away.

where i stayed did affect my overall stay in manila. when i entered the hotel, i was immediately greeted with a warm and welcoming smile. this was followed by assistance at the front desk, where the manager personally met us at the counter. from the floor i stayed, i had a beautiful view of the city.

Great hotel. Rooms renovated, new furniture.

absolutely great hotel. i'm travelling to manila 4 times a year, and staying for at least a week each time. so far i allways stayed in much more expensive sofitel. from now on - only traders. you can easily see that the hotel is "touched" by shangri la management(traders to my surprise are under shangri la chain). ipod docking stations, laptop tables, excellent bed - small things but make you happy.
i have stayed at club room which was offered under very reasonable price. includes everyday sunsety cocktails, use of t-lounge etc.
ps. the tv with interactive hotel msg system - the best i've seen!
Restaurant Tip:
Great Japanese restaurant 10 m from the hotel.

due to my travel plans i had to book three seperate dates on this trip, for each visit all i can say it was great, rooms were excpetional, spotless, well stocked, 1st rate. i have stayed many times in traders manila, i have also stayed in several other establishments in manila. by far traders has always been clean, had timely & friendly service, excellent food both for dining & in room service. the staff has always been courteous & very friendly & professional. you are greeted by everyone by name. very close to the mall of asia, and to the the robinson mall. i have no complaints.
