Management Not Receptive Customer Concern & Constructive Commentsm
I enjoy staying in Red Planet hotels (since the "Tune" times) whenever I am in the Phillippines. It's a great franchise, and one can expect the same degree of comfort and care in whichever RP franchise location. However, one episode this time around warrants comment. After a night of stay in RP Ermita, I went on to stay for a week in RP Angeles. Upon checking out of RP Angeles and returning to Manila to catch my late flight out of Manila that same day, I stopped by RP Ermita to see if they could have my lone bag stored for about 5 hours, thinking that this would pose no problem, given the broad umbrella marketing nature of RP franchise. (I have before been able to have my bag stored upon checkout at different RP locations.) To my surprise, though, I ran into a stonewall "Mr. Razon," the Ermita franchise manager, who, despite checking their own records and holding on to my I.D. for over close to half an hour, declined my request in the name of "company policy" - the policy being that I do not hold a future reservation at the RP in Ermita. This canned policy statement was rehashed over and over, despite my earnest but unsuccessful attempt to persuade Mr. Razon that rigid application of the so-called company policy in its "no exception" form, tends to contravene the very expectations of loyal customers who have legitimate expectation that the same degree of care and service (like post-checkout storage of baggage for several hours) would be reciprocated among different franchise locations and extended to loyal franchise customers. I hope the higher management would look into this by way of improving the franchise value and building (retaining) customer loyalty.

Location for me
Close to large Mall, and well located to get around Metro Manila. Guest friendly but tight security and need good valid ID to get in. Good cheap eats and drinks at the street side restaurants if you can call them that. Girlie bars near by are expensive unless you are in a group.
