The hotel offers so much to see and appreciate to its guests. The place in itself is full of natural beauty, from the flower and garden arrangements to the refreshing pool and jacuzzi facilities. The rooms are clean and spacious and traveling in and out of the hotel (to local destination) is a breeze. The in-house travel/tour agency is likewise efficient and offer professional suggestions to the different activities and sights to see in Palawan.
Overall, our stay was pleasant and we got our money's worth.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Get professional advise on what tours can more economical. The DIY (do-it-yourself) or via the travel agency.

we had room 25... it's nice, but the bathroom is open air. you can hear the rooster every morning. not to mention the shower does not drain very well and you can smell sewage.
if you are going to puerto princessa and you are a couple. it's almost cheaper to use the travel agent all the time rather than organizing it yourself. all the rates in town only vary by about 100-200 pesos. so the in house travel agent was handy, but they only take cash and you cannot charge it to your room. so make sure you have pesos handy. she wouldn't take us$ neither.
only way in and out of the resort is by tricylcle,. 60 pesos. well about what the locals pay. pesos by night.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
All the Tours in Puerto Princessa are not actually in Puerto Princessa. EG. underground river is 70 KM away from Puerto Princesa. Puerto Princessa is only a home base where you would stay every night before you go on another tour the following day. Not really my kind of holiday. Not what I expected. I'd rather be in the middle of it all. But it you don't mind that then it's a nice place.

Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The pool is not so big but is good enough for a quick dip. We also love the jacuzzi. It's very relaxing to just have a dip after a very tiring day, while gazing at the moon and stars at night. The staff are friendly and nice .I cannot comment much on the food because we always eat out but we were able to try their "pansit canton". I'm not a fan of pansit but their's is so good. I would love to taste it again. When it comes to location, it's a bit far from the city proper but it's very near the airport. I will definitely stay at Deep Forest again if ever I'll come back to Puerto Princesa.
Restaurant Tip:
The hotel is near Badjao seafront restaurant...It's just a 20-25 minute walk from the hotel. Just make sure to bring umbrella because the restaurant is really good/more enjoyable at "Lunch" time. You may also opt to ride a tricycle but it will cost you 60-80 pesos (one way).

It is a nice place to stay specially if you have kids. I love the room, pool, food (one order can be shared by two!)and the garden. But i was a bit disappointed with the service, though. I booked almost two mos. ahead but we had to wait for two hours before we got our room, considering we arrived at check-in time. The next day, we had a whole day tour and when we got back, our room was not yet made up and there was no water in the bathroom so we have to stay again outside waiting for our room to be ready when we should have been already resting. And our room's bathroom drainage was clogged. Too bad!

Great place to spend one night on your way up to El Nido, however, you can also have few days chilled out here. The place have lovely swimming pool with s bar. Great resraurant and wine and beer cellar! Great staff - without even asking they picked us up in the airport by aircon minivan! Never happened to us again i Palawan or anawhere else in Philippines!

We stayed there for 4 days and we enjoyed our stay there. The place lived up to their name of Deep Forest, as the place certainly has a lot of plants/trees. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help. The place affords a very private place but not too far from the city either so that makes it a real good place to stay for relaxation.
