Great diving, but poor value for money

Stayed in a native fan cottage, and native it was. No wardrobe in the room, only the trunk of a tree which cut-off branches served as hangers. Light switches were smudgy and seemed not to have been cleaned for ages. Towels and linen was stained , they should be able to buy new towels and linen and change it every once in a while. Most of the staff at the restaurant was unattentive (rather watching TV or chatting with each other) and slow. Had to wait 10 minutes before we got our ordered drinks. Taste and quality of food was good, though. Unfortunately, ressort only has small stretch of pebble bech, no pool available. On the plus side, hotel was a good base to go diving.

Cute hotel away from the hustle of Coron

Cute hotel away from the noisy Coron Town. The hotel is a 10 minute boat ride from Coron Town. The hotel staff did a great job with the boat transfers. Boat transfers are not included in the room price. Dive center is very professional and the instructor is very friendly. Quiet hotel , no noise.

This hotel is good if you want to save - we split a room between 3 people with cheap price. It looked a lot better than other accommodation in the township of Coron.
Just beware that your bill will add up because you are on an island and will probably eat, drink etc all there unless you take the boat into town.

We booked an island native cottage for about 2000pesos. The cottage is roomy, but has no aircon, only fan. Also no hot water.
To get to Coron town, you ride a boat for about 10 minutes from the resort. Sometimes you have to wait for the boatmen, especially when you want to return to the resort in the evening. One evening we waited more than 30 minutes.
The food in the resort is a bit pricey, but tasty. They also have a few veggie options, which was important for me being vegetarian.
The peace and quiet of the resort are sometimtes interrupted by the sounds of lizards, cats and dogs.
The staff are friendly and helpful, as well as the owners.
Wifi works in the restaurant area.
Travel tip:
The resort can arrange private boat trips if you want to choose your destinations and how much time you spend there. But if you want to save money, it's better to join a group tour in town, we chose Calamianes expeditions and were very happy with them.

Great base for sightseeing and diving

The room (7) in the lodge was great. Nice view, clean, spacious. Great sea breeze in evening so not stuffy. Bar and dining area nice and down near shore. Great breakfast range of choices. Dinner menu options OK but not my style though that did not matter as easy enough to go to Coron town where there are enough choices. Allan and his team are very efficient and helpful with great contacts to organise outings. The diving is exceptional and the wrecks are about 1-1.5 hours boat ride away. The dive team are very good - professional, good gear and knowledgable.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Come with a plan of what you want to do. Coron/ Busuanga have a lot to offer beyond the diving but you need to be prepared and also have an adventurous spirit. If you are looking for a "sit and do nothing" sort of vacation there are probably better places.

the perfect escape
relaxing, quiet, off the main island

This was the perfect getaway for me. The resort is just off the main island of Coron and the boat ride (especially at night) is wonderfully relaxing. The cottages are far enough apart you can't hear anything going on, the scenery surrounding the cottages is amazingly serene. My cottage was at the top fo the hill, far away from everything, with the sunset beaming in the front door. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, working around my food restrictions. It is a self contained resort so unless you really need to go into town, you could just stay on the island and relax!

the diving is pretty spectacular
