Please be informed that guests can reach El Nido by booking a direct flight via Island Transvoyager, Inc from Manila. However, flights can only be booked not more than 5 days in advance. Another option is to book a flight via Puerto Princesa through Philippine Airline (PAL), Airphil Express, Cebu Pacific or Zest Air and then take a 6 hours land trip to El Nido. From San Jose Terminal, Puerto Princesa, there are aircon & non-aircon public transport options going to El Nido town. The schedule is as follows: Van – 0700H / 1100H; Bus – 0500H / 0700H / 0900H / 1000H.
FACILITIES IN EL NIDO TOWN
• There is no electricity in El Nido from 6:01 AM to 2:00 PM. Electricity will only resume around 2:01 PM until 6:00 AM the following day.
• Please note that there are no banks or ATM’s in EL Nido. However foreign currencies and travelers cheque (USD only) can be exchanged in some shops in town.
• A mandatory PHP 200 Eco Development Fee is applies and tickets are sold at the Tourism Office and kiosk outlets. This is valid for a maximum of 10 days. Children and extra beds:Guests over 3 years old are considered as adults. Extra beds are dependent on the room you choose, please check the individual room policy for more details.

This hotel has a great beachfront location.

Great location and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Bad points are weak internet signal; must go out to lobby area to make a connextion and the terrible instant coffee served at breakfast. Filipinos in general worship all instant food products from the US, but we have to draw the line at instant coffee. Europeans understand coffee, Americans don't and the breakfast coffee has to get better as it cannot get any worse. Oddly enough, the Balikbayan guest seemed to love it, going back for cup after cup.
There is no electricity in the entire town from 06:00 to 14:00 but mist people are out island-hopping in the morning anyway. El Nido is also a cash-only town as there is NO BANK and it is not possible to get money from an ATM as there aren't any. Rather strange for such a burgeoning tourism area. Charges at the hotel must be settled in cash or via several internet booking sites where a credit or debit card can be used.

Good jump off point for island hopping

It's a 2 to 3 star hotel so you shouldn't expect more. Location is great and access to beach is easy. Overall the hotel staff are great and management accommodating. The hotel rooms and bathrooms are spartan but nice views of the bay. Electricity is limited from evening to 6 am and wifi is available beside the front desk only - at least during our stay.
The beach is not the highlight in fact far from it, the island beaches and water are.
The town is nice and people are terrific, the front beach could do with cleaning of the litter and better grey water drainage systems which run down the beach to make it more appealing.

The room was a welcome retreat after a day's island hopping. We asked for a discount from the owner after deciding to stay another night and he gave us 10% discount! Thanks, Cho Hang Jin!
