Friendliness of staff
Attractive resort
Lots of fun activities included
Mosquitos
Expensive
No pool
We enjoyed our 2 night stay here very much. The staff were exceptionally friendly and well organised, and the resort looks lovely with thatched roof cottages. There's loads to do - we did a free introductory scuba dive off the pier and saw loads of fish, plus hiking, kayaking and lots of snorkelling. The buffet meals were nice with lots of choice and chefs who cook in front of you.
The only negatives were there were a lot of mosquitos throughout the day - we went over to the other resort at Lagen and they didn't seem to have this problem, perhaps they spray more regularly. (Lagen also has a lovely pool and larger guest rooms, although overall we preferred Miniloc as it's more attractive). Also it's expensive to get there and stay, and although it's an excellent resort I wouldn't say it's quite as luxurious as the price suggests.
Overall we had a lovely stay and are glad we treated ourselves!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : free introductory scuba dive (15 mins) was fun experience

The food, activities, and staff were excellent.
The only complaint, if you will, is the feeding of fish with bread. It is unnatural.

Incredible scenary, excellent diving, great staff.
Just got back from four nights at Miniloc August 2009. What an incredible vacation! The staff at El Nido was world class, an amazing bunch of people. They made sure our activities were planned for the entire week, and made sure we were totally happy at all times. The food was very good, diving excellent, snorkeling incredible. The scenary is breathtaking, unlike anything I have ever seen, and I am well traveled. Great resort to go as a couple or family. I might bring a laptop next time, as there are no TVs in the room.

Service top-notch, beautiful location
expensive, hard to get to, mosquitoes
Just returned from a wonderful 4 night stay at MIniloc Island Resort. Food was plentiful and delicious, accommodations were rustic but certainly fine (A.C. is a nice touch since it does get quite hot!), but what makes it stand apart is both the fantastic staff who went out of their way to befriend our 14 month old son and the beautiful location with great proximity to many fun, water sports (snorkeling, diving, kayaking). If only it were not so far, or quite so expensive, we'd return again!

Staff is friendly and well trained; the resort is quaint and beautiful; and lots of activities.
Flight arrangements with ITI (seriously the only option from Manila) not well coordinated if you don't book directly with the resort. We lost 1/2 day in El Nido because we could not get the desired time.
Overall I would highly recommend El Nido Resorts for anyone looking for an island/beach holiday in the Philippines. It was an amazing experience for my girlfriend and I for 5 days. The staff treated us well and were very pro-active to make sure we were satisfied with everything and had activities planned every day. We stayed in a water cottage in Miniloc, and had a wonderful time our entire trip. When booking through agoda, do make sure to call the Resort directly to make your Manila-to-El Nido flight arrangement as this resort also owns the ITI airline company that runs the only direct flights to El Nido.

beautiful beach ourside, many fish there
This hotel is very beautiful. It is near the bay, and ourside is a very good beach. The water is so clean, and there are lots of fish everywhere. The staff are so nice, do whatever you order them to do. The rooms are very nice and have good view, but the aircondition is so noisey, make me hard to sleep.

Massively overpriced.
Awful food.
Tiny very basic room.
non-existant beach
constant boat traffic.
Charge you extra for anything they can get away with.
This was the worst place I have ever stayed.
The food was terrible. We actually stopped eating it.
The stilted cottage was tiny, dark and depressing. on the balcony we were treated to constant boat traffic - hardly peaceful or relaxing. The beach is practically non-existant.
They charged for bottles of water - in an all inclusive package! They also put an ice cream fridge in the restaurant - which you also had to pay for - I pitied the people with children.
Major rip-off. I have had hundreds of better value better quality holidays all over Asia. Avoid these rip-off merchants.

Unique and beautiful landscape of the island. Arrangements of great activity.
Want to increase the type of buffet.
Hotel staff are friendly and in good service good. Stay in the lock of the mini-activities that can be enjoyed even rich enough to easily move to other islands and Ragen.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Featured Tour of the lagoon.
