Located in Caalan, nearby the town of El Nido, Palawan Island. From here it is only 20 minutes walking distance and 5 minutes by motorbike from the city area. The villa is composed of 4 apartments which are well appointed and all equipped with standard amenities for guests’ utmost comfort including double bed (with mosquito net), en suite kitchen, bathroom with hot shower , ceiling fan ,bed sheet , kitchenware and a large terrace where guest can experience garden and sea view. Moreover guest can also enjoy the tropical garden and barbecue area which is surrounded the villa. La Salangane Caalan Beach Villa offers excellent services and pleasant atmosphere to ensure a memorable getaway.
Please be informed that guests can reach El Nido by booking a direct flight via Island Transvoyager, Inc from Manila. However, flights can only be booked not more than 5 days in advance. Another option is to book a flight via Puerto Princesa through Philippine Airline (PAL), Airphil Express, Cebu Pacific or Zest Air and then take a 6 hours land trip to El Nido. From San Jose Terminal, Puerto Princesa, there are aircon & non-aircon public transport options going to El Nido town. The schedule is as follows: Van – 0700H / 1100H; Bus – 0500H / 0700H / 0900H / 1000H. FACILITIES IN EL NIDO TOWN
• There is no electricity in El Nido from 6:01 AM to 2:00 PM. Electricity will only resume around 2:01 PM until 6:00 AM the following day.
• Please note that there are no banks or ATM’s in EL Nido. However foreign currencies and travelers cheque (USD only) can be exchanged in some shops in town.
• A mandatory PHP 200 Eco Development Fee is applies and tickets are sold at the Tourism Office and kiosk outlets. This is valid for a maximum of 10 days. Pleae note thats:
Check-in should be done in town at the La Salangane Hotel .There is no reception desk in Caalan and no staff to assist guests if they proceed there directly. Latest check-in time is at 9:00 PM only. Guests should get a transfer schedule that will get them before 9PM in El Nido. Otherwise, check-in will only be possible the next day.
Children and extra beds:Guests over 3 years old are considered as adults. Extra beds are dependent on the room you choose, please check the individual room policy for more details.

Great View but need work

We arrived late at night the manager took us on a 10 min. motor bike to our "villa" upon arriving there was no power at the place. It was late so that was not a huge issue at the time. The room was nice and big. Had a small kitchen and a small refrigerator to prepare meals. During our 4 nights there, the power was on typically from 4/5 pm till around 1 am when it would stop again. When there is no power for a majority of the day, what's the point in having a fridge in the room.. Also no hot water to shower in the mornings, or even use of the fan during the night while trying to sleep. Upon leaving on our last day, I asked the cleaning lady from a different room if they were supposed to come every day and clean the rooms or not and she told me that they were.
Overall the place is nice, but completely useless as far as having a place to stay that's sufficient to standard needs ..
You're better off paying the same price per night or even a little more to stay in the more established resorts or cottages very close near by.

The view in the morning is worth the walk

The unit had a great view of Cadlao island and is in a peaceful location (you actually pass a small cemetery on the way so pardon me for the pun). Bring a torch/flashlight as some parts of the road back to the units are not lit. We enjoyed walking along the front of the property during low tide in the mornings - made this place feel a little less remote.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Along the dirt road into the town proper you will pass the 'Gawad Kalinga' compound (right next to the cemetery), I urge you to book your tours with them as they will look after you well. If you also have time to kill in the evening, have your dinner here. They may take long to serve the food but what they lack in efficiency they make up for with passion and true home-cooked Filipino flavours. Plus you are helping their community directly.
