Our stay in this Hotel was a total disaster ,
good breaffast only good thing , will not return

No electric power from 6am to 6pm ...toilet not working , salt water in shower ,garbage stored next to our room , several cats living underneath our room . staff were excellent but management team could not run a bath , as they refuse any simple request we asked of them, even for change to pay a boat man owned refused to change a 1000 peso note ,We do not recommend staying here.....

This was my worst hotel experience in PI...Hotel was funky and connected to restaurant...pictures much nicer than reality...Stairs to room very difficult to access....That was good part.....Water from tap very salty...was told was because of little rain....AC unit virtually worthless...Could not sleep in room...no fan...Dirty room and bathroom...could see thru floor. Booked another hotel...asked for some refund of our 4 day booking...Got nothing...so took quite a hit to move. Actually I have never gotten stuck like this in 40 years of traveling...Feel sort of stupid but dont know what else I icould have done

No hot water, the water is salt. It's Ocean!!!! Many insects and moskitos...room is not really clean... very hot in budget room. I will not suggest anyone to stay in budget room, you will regret since you will sweat every single second. Don't try

This is not a premium room, noise level equivalent to sleeping in the street. I felt cheated with naming my room premium when in fact I had to shower out of a bucket, withstand 2 noisy night. If you are looking at this hotel, do yourself a favor drink and book your fast boat tour here ...go sleep somewhere else

Not worth the money

I know this is a 2-star hotel and I shouldn't expect much, but still it did not meet our expectations. The water in the shower was so salty it was impossible to get clean, not to mention it just trickled out of the tap. We stayed in room with working AC, definitely better than standard. The rooms are quite noisy: motorbikes, boats, etc. Our room was the only one facing the sea and it is the only decent room there. The sound of the waves helps drown out the other noise (except the boats blaring music at 6am). The local staff were quite friendly, but the expat staff was very rude.
We organized island hopping trip through them and it was really good. Highly recommend the speed boat trip.
The restaurant is good, especially desert.

We always get smile from everyone at La Salangane, this is the first reason to book there,second reason , their food is so delicious... third, the service at the bar, Tomy is the best barman I have ever seen!

Great view, but not worth the money

Let's face it, you're really paying for the view in the one beach-fronted room at this hotel. Once you get over that, you see that the room isn't really worth the money you're paying. The bathroom is ultra-basic with brackish salt-water showers. I had a big spider as a shower guest that the cleaning staff seemed to live and let live. The bed was decent, but the bamboo/nipa construction means you hear every sound from the bar about 1 meter from the room all day and night. And the Internet SUCKS. One reason I chose this place is I assumed for the price they would at least have decent wifi. Wrong. When I tried connecting and couldn't, the owner told me to basically sit exactly under the router. Super inconvenient. And there is no wifi in the room. The staff are all traveler types and quite friendly. But this is essentially a good French restaurant with a few rooms on the side. You can get much better accommodation for much less in El Nido. So eat here, but stay elsewhere.

My stay was only overnight rather then the 3 days i had booked.Sorry but i have never experienced anything as bad as that ever & far overpriced for what was offered.Only thing i can say assuming i got my refund since i have not checked my credit card yet is that i got refunded 2 of my 3 days that did however take a few emails.
Firstly i was dissapointed in assuming my premium room was the seaview room with balcony.Then the shower only had salt water & the lady owner told me its everywhere in ElNido because no rain for some time.This was however untrue.Apart from that the tv didnt work nor was wifi available in the room.Ok i dont need these things but if your paying $82 Australian & it specifies these things you expect it.
Apart from that it was impossible to sleep with the noise from the street & loud music from downstairs until atleast 1 am.After that time it was time for the alley cats to start fighting.Next day on the word of French lady owner of a refund we moved to viewdeck which although further away it was half the price with lovely fresh water,quiet & nicer view then well my non existent view.I cannot imagine how some have rated the place a 9 & despite some bad comments i went ahead & booked because some gave a good recommendation.
For the French owners or managers you really need to pick your game up though i dont think you even care except for your bar or restaurant.I could go on but i will just say i would never recommend this place to anybody.Even the women told me she would refund me i had to fight for that all the way

crazy accommodation where you sleep practically on the street (separated only wicker wall). The street is noisy most of the night, so you can not sleep even when you are very drunk.
