The middle of nowhere.
The staff were great, it's right on the beach and its in a very quiet location.
7.3
I really enjoyed my stay here but it is not the kind of place you'd go if you're after a holiday for bars/clubs and nightlife. If you're after a holiday to get away from it all, this is the place.

The hotel is located in the middle of NOWHERE!
If you like total seclusion away from civilization, this is the place for you.

Since Villa Leonora was a neighbouring hotel, we found it senseless to even ponder of checking in. We left the area the same day we arrived in it and preceded to Puerto Prinsesa Town proper where all kinds of hotels particularly nice, cost efficient accommodation was always available. In addition, Puerto Prinsesa Town Proper is easily accessible to Honda Bay and Underground River .

Great option in Palawan
Arranged everything you would want, beautiful location, and beautiful grounds
8.3
We just finished up our four night stay at the Villa Leonora - and we had a blast. As I looked at different places in Palawan, I was struck by how divided the reviews, seemed to be on this property. Now that I've stayed there, I think I understand what's driving that to some degree, and as much as to report our stay, I'd like to address some of the complaints that have been lodged by some other reviewers.
DO:
Stay at the Villa Leonora if you want an out-of-the-way place to stay while you're in Palawan.
Stay in the air conditioned rooms, not the fan rooms.
Expect that the property is a good ways (an hour plus) out of Puerto Princesa - so if it's nightlife you are looking for, do find somewhere else.
Tell the staff what you want. Room cleaned? Breakfast at a certain time? Day trips to make? Just let the folks know, and they will be all over it.
Understand that the road is not far away, and there's no way to avoid hearing it. At this point on the island you have the road and you have the ocean, and there's not much that separates the two. We were so exhausted after every day, you could have run a semi truck by our beds and we wouldn't have heard it. But it's there. The resort in general is so quiet - but the road prevents it from being silent - so just be prepared.
Know that there aren't TVs in the rooms and there isn't WIFI either. But there is WIFI in the restaurant area.
Appreciate that staff is an authentic character. A happy-go-lucky guy who is fun to hang out with, but a human being like all of the rest of us. That means there will be times he might rub a person the wrong way. But his is a good guy - and the world needs good guys.

Very remote and no other guests - fairly isolated
3.3
The stay was OK but it is isolated and you are trapped - You have to pay very high prices to do anything from here!!!

All rooms yards from a major road, so very noisy,
3.3
All rooms are only a few yards from a major road, so very noisy. As this hotel is so remote you are totally dependent on the hotel. Unfortunately this hotel didn't deliver. The service was extremely poor and as there was nowhere else to eat or drink prices were very high. As a guide a single Bacardi and coke was £9.00. We had payed for 3 nights but left after only 2.

Good hotel, Beautiful Beach
Nicely located by the beach, friendly and knowledgable staff, nice restaurant and bar
5.3
Location too far from the airport (about 90 mins.). All shuttle services from the city expensive. No TV in room, internet connection only in public areas and slow. Restaurant's menu not updated. Room not fixed unless requested. Bathroom floor wet even when not used.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Famous underground river tour should be booked in advance. Ask and confirm hotel if they can do it for you.

lovely place, lovely people, I was shock when i met him as i was worried about the comment i read before i go specially the weird stories about the owner which is not true, the owner is very helpful, very nice, we reach late, but he still wake up just to come and great us, we had no plans or tours, but he still manage to get us that and made us busy with seeing the nice nature over there, very relaxing place, very nice staff, it is out standing the way we were treated, honestly I'm very difficult to satisfy but they have delighted us, prices of his tours was the cheapest compare of what we got by other agencies even we did not have any booking, I have been in many places in Asia, and i loved this place, i highly highly highly recommend this nice resort away from the city, pollution and the noise. i wish i had time to stay longer, prices are acceptable,it is even more expensive in other hotels and resorts as i have been in other hotels within Philippines in my last holiday.
and for sure I'm going back there.

Perfect to relax on night/day on your way

Pretty place easy to find and right on the Highway so easy to be dropped in or leaving.
Room confrtable and spacious.
Arthur (landlord) gave us a warm welcome even at midnight !
Only bad point was the breakfast little expensive and not fresh and the highway a bit noisy.
Didn't try any tour around unfortunately but beach is slowly gradually going deeper so it might be perfect with children.
Restaurant Tip:
Perfect for a stopover
