Travel time from Manila to Puerto Galera takes about 2 hours by land and another hour by ferry. From Manila, one can board the more economical commercial buses of BLTB, Jam, Tritran and Ceres Batangas Express which have terminals along EDSA. Air-conditioned bus fares range Php180 to Php220. The schedule of these buses usually starts at 6 am and every hour thereafter, depending on the number of passengers.
At the Batangas City Pier, there are several ferry services bound for Puerto Galera, which depart between 07:00 am until 03:00 pm only, for the four main points to Puerto Galera by way of its port facilities Muelle Pier, Balatero Pier, White Beach and Sabang Beach. Ferry fares usually start at Php200.00. There will be a twenty five pesos (Php25.00) Terminal Fee and fifty pesos (Php50.00) Environmental Fee per person to be paid at the port. These charges are on personal account.
The resort also offers private roundtrip transportation for your convenience. Should you wish to coordinate your estimated time of arrival or have private transfers arranged, please contact cs@agoda.com at least seven (7) days before your check-in date.

Perfect weekend getaway
Food, location and dive shop.

This was a perfect weekend getaway. It was easy to reach within 3hrs from Makati and the 3hr travel was definitely worth it. We enjoyed the food and especially the buffet breakfast. The dive shop is well set up and very organised. A very enjoyable weekend.

Location is great, in a quiet part of town, 5 minute walk to the center of Sabang Beach. Rooms are clean. Too smallto spend any time in the room. But luckily El Galleon has a beautiful, large restaurant area for drinks and to access the Internet. El Galleon also has a beautiful and relaxing bar facing the sea. Food in Philippnes is in general sub par when compared to the rest of Asia. Sabang is one of the worst places in Philippines as far as food is concerned. El Galleon's restaurant is about average for Sabang. The best restaurant is called Papa Fred's. The food is not great but at least you don't get sick from the cheap oil that are used , over and over again,in places like the restaurant named Big Apple. That being said, this was my third one week stay in El Galleon in the last 13 months. The combination of diving and El Galleon compensated for the bad food in Puerto Galera.
Travel tip:
Sabang is noted for its night life.

Fantastic Hotel

Stayed in a sea view room, quite a few steps to reach the room but a lovely big room great view over small Laguna beach, hot shower and soft towels. Just a couple of minutes walk from the centre of the action but far enough away to ensure a peaceful nights sleep. Excellent restaurant, very friendly helpful staff all of this set in a tropical garden setting next to the beach. What more could you ask for? (first class dive school & shop) yes has this on site as well.
Travel tip:
Should you desire evan more luxury take a look at their annex accommodation 'Waimea Luxury Houses' 5 minutes walk inland from ElGaleon Resort.
