Nice discovery
Location, Rooms with balcony
8
we first booked for a casita but realized it was too far in the property and we would need a great deal of walking so we asked for a room closer to the garden. the staff was very accommodating and moved us to a new room immediately. for those who want to have quiet time outside of manila but not far away from the metropolis, this is a nice location to relax.
Restaurant Tip:
Amor Roma - one of the best (and authentic) italian restaurants in the country is within the area!

A place to unwind and just simply relax
6.7
the rooms are quite small, simple, not tha extravagant but surely a getaway from city's hustle and bustle. not that luxurious but its a so so... a good one. uhm quite elegant though. the food is fine but not that sumptuous. well, i love the pool (indoor and outdoor). i use the outdoor pool in the afternoon and early morning the indoor one.. what else.. ah the sauna fairly great... it'll make you sweat that fats away hehe... i love to go back there because it's accessible but not too soon. i will try others in the same location... i'm sure there's a lot better but i will recommend estancia.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
There's a place there called santorini (like in greece) it's nice to go at the top of the structure and take pictures... you'll have a great backdrop of the lake and pin trees...

Quite Deceiving
hot water in bathroom, parking, lobby and restaurant, good location
5.7
the lobby and restaurant of the hotel was done in beautiful greek theme (they say santorini style), however, i was quite taken aback at my appointed room. i know it said "bahay kubo" style, but then it was a far cry from what the whole hotel was trying to project. anyway, thankfully the casitas was clean and huge. but my complaints are that it's so far from the main building, the tv is too small (and old) for the room, and there's no remote control. i requested for the remote, but it never materialized. the balcony view could have been more promising, but alas, it was blocked by overgrown trees in the property (hence, missing the whole point of 'lake view room') - a little pruning could not hurt.
good points: hot water in bathroom! some hotels in the area don't deliver on this, but they do. big parking space, no problem if you bring your own vehicle. and the place is near restaurants and places of interest. the lobby and restaurant are nice, though the food is typical.
but my main gripe is, for the room i got - it's not worth what i paid for. overpriced if you ask me.

very good hotel location in tagaytay!
best thing is the simplicity and cozyness of the room, you feel you are in the midst of mother nature
7
the room type we got was the casitas and it is located further down from the reception area, so a bit of walking and going to and fro is necessary... going down from the reception area to the casitas room is the easy part but going up from the room to the lobby is quite tiring!
the best thing in this type of room is its like a nippa hut and everything is made up of bamboos and woods so it has this feeling of being close to mother nature because the location is surrounded by trees and canopys so really its a different feeling!
Restaurant Tip:
there are many restaurants close by like Leslie's which are famous for their bulalos and over looking taal volcano dining area, there are also Dencios, starbucks and other typical restaurants and ready to eat meals likie fast food chains.

Lovely hotel with plentiful of amenities
Nice view of taal lake, relaxing environment for a peaceful settlement
7.3
Unfortunately it was a rainy season so not much outdoor activities were carried out. Not much to choose in the menu but the breakfast offer was satisfactory.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Don't come at rainy season unless you can stay hotel watching tv in the room and reading books etc.

staff needs to take hospitality course
5.7
There is little question concerning the quality of Estancia. MY problems, however, concern the staff and their inability to handle simple issues.
In my case I was accused a taking bottle of mineral water from the frig. I did'nt--but thats not the real problem. I swear they held me back at least a good 30 mins over a bottle of water. I was innocent but they just wouldn't let it go.
I'm nt coming back because of the people and not the place.
Hotel Feature Tip:
Good for writing that novel, you've put off forever

" A place to relax & enjoy"
clean rooms & good service
8
the hotel is a perfect place to relax & enjoy. it is overlooking tall volcano and surrounded by lush greens mountains. relax with sauna and jacuzzi or pools after. great breakfast, clean rooms & friendly staff. we will surely come back to this place.
Restaurant Tip:
Restaurants can be found nearby, just few minutes away, but if you wish to stay & order, the hotel has variety of foods to choose from at an affordable price.

Nice situated - nice view

The room called casitas - like bungalow was dark oldfasioned -bamboo on floor and not comfortable for me. Changed after 1 night to de luxe room in newer part of hotel. Payed 600 pesos extra per night.Comfortable room but toilet dont work - problem with flashing.
I dont think the staff was kind and friendly - perhaps i was too demanding. I tried to borrow a screwer for open a wine bottle. One young guy in staff want 500 pesos for that!I dont accept that.
One morning found a dead bat in pool. Nobody noticed that.
Breakfast ok.

the place was very good. pools and jacuzzi were nice and relaxing. hotel price was a good deal and place was just near restos in tagaytay. room was spacious but the shower heater is weird, sometimes it gets warm then super hot then it goes super cold. but overall stay was very good.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Overlooking Taal Volacano and Taal Lake. Nice view
