Great family hotel with stunning lake view
Stunning views of Taal Lake. Big, comfortable rooms. Great location.

We were initially looking to book Taal Vista hotel, but our experience with them before was they were strict. After calling The Lake Hotel to confirm no additional charges for two more adults in the room as Agoda states the superior room is only for two (2) adults, we booked.
The hotel is small with only 58 rooms, but upon entering the lobby there is an open pavilion with a stunning view of Taal Lake. The superior room we booked was also very spacious with two double beds. The bathroom is also large with running hot water and strong pressure. There is also a hair dryer and phone inside the bathroom. Cleanliness is very good. Room service is great too. The food at the hotel restaurant is also decently priced with decent portions, but the service at their restaurant is bad. Luckily, the hotel is just walking distance from a multitude of restaurants such as Leslie's, Buon Giorgo, RSM, Yellow Cab, etc. so finding a good place to eat isn't a problem. The complimentary breakfast buffet for two is also very good and the hotel doesn't skimp on the delicious stuff such as Chinese fried rice, bacon, assorted ham, breakfast sausages, the good stuff.
Overall, our stay at The Lake Hotel is quite pleasant and worth the money. My only caveat is that the pool is clearly visible from the lobby and those who are very conscious might find it problematic.

Expensive hotel due to its small room.

rooms should have been bigger, although facilities are ok, ie bathroom, tv.
service during bfast was ok, however, items in the buffet were not refilled or limited and the spread is also limited.. the price is expensive at considering the limited choices and compared to other restaurant, ie with a more extensive and better quality selection.

I'd recommend this for short stays. The rooms are relatively small but adequate. Staff is very helpful and responsive. The buffet breakfast is ok, if somewhat limited. Main drawback: tight parking and no priority parking for checked-in guests.

I booked for a standard room, but we were upgraded to a superior room coz i was requesting for a PWD room for my mother, we had a nice sleep with the big comfortable beds, the restroom was good with nice glass enclosed shower rm, the buffet breakfast has lots of selections and very delicious...

the room that i got was a basement room with no view but a garden. despite of this, i liked the room becuase it was clean and it can beat any four star hotels that i've stayed in other countries. I like the amenities.

we had a great time there the veiw from the hotel was great,there is some good places to eat within walking distance as the resturant at the hotel was not nice.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
great plase to base yourself as everything is easy to get to at any time
