This small hotel is located perfectly for tourists looking to sample the best of Tagaytay. Rooms are quite big with the room we booked having two queen beds and a decent sized bathroom. Set menu breakfast is not bad but nothing spectacular. Value for money, this is probably one of the best Tagaytay has to offer.
My only complaint is that being a small hotel, noise from the lobby tend to be heard around the whole place. It would be fun though to book the whole place for a company or family outing.
We visit Tagaytay at least 3x a year and typically stay in Taal Vista or the other bigger hotels but I have to say Villa Ibarra is now one of the top hotels we will consider for our visits.
Restaurant Tip:
Do not visit Tagaytay without eating at Antonios which has been voted as one of the best restaurants in the Philippines.

Lovely boutique hotel

We stayed in the "Divine" Suite and enjoyed very much the splendid view from the large room and the jacuzzi in the bathroom. Because we were so happy with the service and location of the hotel we extended our stay. Staff is friendly and flexible. Choice of breakfast is limited to either eggs or pancakes. More choices for lunch and dinner. Food (western & Filipino) is of good quality.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Boat ride to the Taal Vulcano is popular. Any asking price above 1,500 pesos per person is a ripp-off. Some sales guys were willing to sell tickets for a couple at 1,000 pesos each.

Breath taking view of Taal Lake

It was a rainy Friday morning when we arrived at the Hotel and the view of Taal Lake was blocked by heavy fog, but the hot and tasty "bulalo soup" saved the day for us. Equally appreciated are the courteous and very helpful staff.The room ,although a little bit small, is elegant and comforting. Tried to catch some sleep after lunch and woke up late afternoon, with the fog gone and we had enough time to watch Taal Volcano for a few hours before it was covered , this time, by darkness. A relaxing massage before we sleep. Ahh..a perfect day indeed in a not so perfect weather. Highly recommended to all those looking for a place to relax and unwind.
Shopping Tip:
The place is near a supermarket, restaurants and a well known coffee shop...actually jogging distance away.

The hotel is so nice and clean, very quite and best for unwind relaxation for everyone. The room is so cute even though its too small but nice set up and complete toilette materials. I suggest this hotel for all the couples who wants to have a romantic set up place like wedding, proposal and honeymoon. Also, this hotel is very near to all restaurants and fast foods, very convenient.

Lovely place got a marriage

If you want to hold a wedding, or host a very small group of people, this is a very nice place to do that. The staff is attentive and friendly, and since there are only several rooms, you'll feel that the place belongs to you.
The only drawbacks are that the internet is slow (but that's true of everyplace in Tagaytay), and the rooms don't have either a coffee maker or a security safe. Oh, but the food in the small restaurant is great.

friendly staff. hotel room is not the best but not the worst. could be better for the price they charge. room was not as clean and had musty smell when you walk in. goes away once ac is going. lots of insects as you walk-in the room.
