When you go back to places you want to spend your Summer. You would always go back to the past experiences you had in that place. The pleasant and not so pleasant. Memories that trigger laughter, dismay or happiness.
Last April, our family decided to go to Tagaytay to avoid the summer for at least 2 days. I had only 3 hotel choices in mind. Those that gave us pleasant memories of our past stays. One of these is Hotel Ibarra.
Thankfully, they still got 2 available rooms to accommodate our family. The staff were always welcoming and hospitable.
I got to meet the new manager and she was so accommodating and truly nice. I told her it was already my second or third time to stay in their hotel.
I simply love the place because it is clean and the rooms are big. I enjoyed staying in Hotel Ibarra because the ambiance is so much like home with the beautiful furnitures and interior. The view of Lake Taal in this side is simply fantastic. No problem with security and parking.
Even the set breakfast was good and tasty.
Accessible to famous restaurants in Tagaytay by foot or car.

Better than expected

This is overrated at 4 stars simply because it has none of the amenities you'd expect from a 4 star- pool, business center, multiple food outlets, etc. It is basically a large house that was converted into a hotel with less than 10 rooms. The cleanliness of the facilities, which were done in a fairly tasteful manner, the friendly staff, and the great view of taal lake make up for its shortcomings.

my wife & i were looking forward to this vacation with the nice big jacuzzi but the hot water only works for about 20 mins. which is not enough to fill the jacuzzi!! & it takes 1 hour to get hot water again... also i wouldn't recommend the 1st floor because you can hear the people above walking around the whole night. paid a lot of money but was not worth it

Dont book the Honeymoon Suite!
View, location, and quiet.

We booked the Honeymoon Suite which would be an ok room if id didnt smell like sewer gas. It is rather small but all windows with a great view. We couldnt stand the smell and after 20 minutes approached management who gladly changed our room. I could tell they had received this complaint before. I dont know what would have happened if here was not another available room. Avoid this room and book another room if you want to stay here. The other rooms also h balcony and excellent view. Breakfast was good bugs were wet and under cooked every day even when asked for extra cooking. Undercooked eggs can make you sick.
