A very modern and clean hotel with good facilities. Restaurant service slow in the evenings and process fairly high. Internet also very slow. Nice new swimming pool and big gardens. Excellent breakfast

this is a very pleasant hotel. the grounds are still in the process of being fully developed but the rooms are spacious and clean with very comfortable beds. the pool seems to be finished and it is very classy and unique- you can view the ocean from the pool. i look forward to visiting again to see the progress. the service is excellent with very kind and attentive staff. we hadn't even told them when were arriving at the airport (or where for that matter) but they were waiting at the airport at 6am with a placard that contained my name. i was impressed. and the shuttle service to the calbayog airport is free.
this hotel is owned by a local filipino, not a big corporation. i like the idea of supporting the local community. the price is very reasonable and the food in the hotel is good and reasonably priced.

An unexpected gem

Wow, I really never expected to find such a gem of a hotel in a city such as Calbayog. It really wouldn't take too many changes to make this hotel 5 star. I initially stayed in a "City View" room but changed to a "Sea View" room not long after I moved in, I'm so glad that I did, the ocean views are fantastic.
The hotel if beautiful, very well designed and kept immaculately clean. The 2 rooms that I stayed in were fantastic, very well designed and furnished, very spacious, and extremely clean. The beds are extremely comfortable and the linen is crisp and fresh.
The restaurant serves some incredible food, as long as you stick to what they do best, Asian style cooking. Most of the food in the restaurant is fantastic, some of the dishes I have NEVER had better. However some of their attempts at western cooking fail completely. Their attempt at a cheese burger and chips would have to be the worst I have ever had.
The number 1 asset of this hotel would have to be the staff. From the front desk, to the restaurant, to housekeeping and even the laundry staff are fantastic. So warm, friendly and accommodating. With out a doubt there are a few of them that could easily get a job at any of the worlds greatest hotels and resorts. The staff at this hotel are the number 1 reason that I will come back again and again at any opportunity that I get.
The hotel isn't completely finished, there is still some construction going on at the back around the pool. The day spa is yet to be constructed. But that wasn't too much of a problem, though I do look forward to staying here when it is full finished.

I do not have one complaint. I've stayed in hotels around the world, and this is one of the best. From check-in to check-out and everything in between. The hotel is clean and spotless. The internet is fast and reliable. The staff is knowledgable, friendly, and speak excellent english. The food was delicious. Room service was fast. The restaurant was clean and efficient. The prices were reasonable for this area.

this hotel has it all and all at best prices. the staff are friendly right form free pick up at the calbayog airport by airconditioned van. the food is fresh and cheap. the seafood is great and fresh. the city tour in the hotel van very resonable at less than 100 usd for 5 hours. 6 seats. will be back - rooms and pool aera to be seen to be believed for the money great value and great staff make this hotel first class.
Shopping Tip:
the local product is dried fish or dried squid and is world class in crovac packs. worth trying......

Nice hotel in Calbayog City still being renovated

We spent five days at the Ciriaco Hotel in October 2012. The service, rooms and restaurant were all of good quality as was the free shuttle service. They need to finish there renovations (outdoor bar, pool area, gym etc) before you could call the Hotel a genuine 4 star establishment. Still by far the best option in Calbayog City or probably Samar!

Staff are great and will go above and beyond with any requets.
