Food, Drink and Entertainment
Amara Hotel Singapore - Food, Drink and Entertainment Tradition and innovation meet at Amara Singapore's celebrated contemporary restaurants, bars, and cafes. From a classic Thai restaurant to a innovative concept restaurant, the food and beverage venues of Amara Singapore entice diners with their inventiveness and culinary excellence.

Thanying
A prestigious Thai restaurant, which serves rich, Thai dishes in an authentic setting, is a sentence that aptly describes Thanying. Authentic Thai cuisine is available at this award- winning restaurant, specializing in Thai cuisine since 1988. A charming decor and classic ambience featuring Royal Thai cuisine makes Thanying a unique experience in Siamese dining.

Silk Road
Showcases the best of four key regional Chinese cuisine from Sichuan, Shaanxi, Liaoning and Beijing. The restaurant carries a warm and upbeat ambience set in a theme that is modern and bright. A show kitchen allows guests to catch our team of chefs, direct from China, in action as they demonstrate hand-made noodles, skillfully prepared Chinese cold appetisers and dumplings. A La Carte and set menu are also available.

Santaro
A familiar name to those who enjoy fine Japanese cuisine, Santaro is renowned for serving nothing but the very best of traditional Japanese fare. Helmed by renowned chef Santaro Li, you'll find something special for your taste buds from our menu. Or you could ask the master chef to whip up something limited only by his imagination and the availability of the finest quality ingredients. From the Gindara Teriyaki to the Shark's Fin Chawanmushi, you'll discover flavours created with the greatest care and feast for the senses second to none.

Element Restaurant
Inspired by the five elements in Chinese astrology: Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth, design firm Wilson & Associates conceptualized the exciting new restaurant concept as a fusion of stylish minimalism and chic sophistication. Weaving the five elements into its design, with an open kitchen concept, and a Teppanyaki counter, it gives the patron dining at Element a unique and pleasurable dining experience. Come check it out the daily international lunch and dinner buffets of the finest cuisine like, Salmon Sashimi, Roast Beef, and our award-winning Cod Fillet.

Hue Restobar
A Vietnamese Restaurant and Bar cum Wine & Cigar Retail outlet, immortalises the inimitable fusion of the old-world charm and sophisticated cuisine of Vietnam's former Imperial City, Hue. The restaurant offers authentic Vietnamese cuisine in a contemporary and minimalist interior with soothing jazz music in the background. With a generous seating space of 83 guests, it is the perfect setting for a sumptuous lunch, a romantic dinner or a relaxing after-hours hangout. The Restaurant and Bar is located on the upper deck while the Wine and Cigar Bar occupies the lower deck. The open kitchen concept allows guests to appreciate the artistry of the chefs while they prepare the meals.

Alphabet Bar
Speak the language of the hip & cool when you enter the Alphabet Bar. Nibble on light snacks & soak up the ambience at the Alphabet Bar. Boasting a wide selection of fine wines & a hip decor, the Alphabet Bar is the perfect place to chill out with friends or business associates to the strains of soft jazz music. With an inner chamber designed by renowned design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates and comfortable plush seats, you can be assured of a cosy atmosphere when you enter the Alphabet Bar.

Café Oriental
Entering Café Oriental is like taking a journey back in time. Fashioned after the traditional Chinese coffeeshop of the 1950s, with its marble tables and wooden chairs, Café Oriental serves original Singaporean cuisine. Enjoy a morning breakfast of roti kaya (coconut jam spread on pieces of toast), or have a light meal of Teochew porridge. Café Oriental will transport you to an era where taste has been preserved for generations.

It is near to the Train station, good n affordable room rates and rooms are clean and housekeeping service is impromptu

No bathrobes was provided. Poor chartered/Limo service.

Everything that we need which are basic are adequately available in this hotel. However, when we paid $45 for a chartered van to bring us to the airport due to our huge luggage being unable to fit into normal taxi, the chartered van was not so comfortable & hot like there was no air conditioning. Also, when we are paying with $50 note, the driver said he does not have change so we had trouble to look for small notes. He should have beforehand get ready some change before he took us in or have asked.

Shopping Tip : Train station was just nearby to go for shopping in orchard road but also good restaurants are available walking distance to Shenton Way from the hotel.

Pleasant staff.Large clean room. Great restaurants in the hotel. Access to MRT.Good value for money.

The water in the shower took sometime to drain away and the mini bar in the room could have been colder.

The staff at the Amara were all very helpful and pleasant. They were happy to accommodate any needs we had such as an early check in time. There are several excellent restaurants in the Amara hotel itself as well as many smaller ones in the plaza next door to the hotel.Great access to the MRT and buses in to the city. The room was a good size and was comfortable and serviced daily.Internet access was available in the room.

Restaurant Tip : Try the Thanying Thai restaurant on the second floor in the hotel. The food was excellent. Best value for money was The Blue Mist restaurant/bar in the complex next door.Six dollars fifty for a cooked breakfast with coffee included.

Lovely bedroom set-up. Free internet in the room. Friendly, helpful staff. Convenient location. Fair price.

Very ordinary breakfast.

The big surprise at the Amara Hotel was the bedroom itself. This was very tastefull decorated, with all facilities you would expect in a hotel of this price - and some extras. The room comes equipped with its own PC and internet connection. Very useful for those people who do not lug their laptop around the world. One addition the hotel might consider is to set up Skype and make a microphone available for the PC. The only real negative for the hotel was the breakfast - a VERY ordinary standard. Minuscule portion of egg omelette and fruit that never seemed to be really fresh.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Pedal cyclo drivers near this hotel are extremely annoying - they never take 'no' for an answer and keep following you down the street calling out to you.
