The serene surrounding and the beautiful view of the Sky Pool.
Too many mosquitoes, even the air-conditioned restaurant is infested with mosquitoes.
The resort is beautiful with its old colonial style suites interwined with modern hotel lobby gave it a very refreshing feel. The Courtyard Suite is luxurious and the out-door jacuzzi makes my stay very pleasurable. The only thing I dislike about the stay is the mosquitoes. The hotel can do better in its prevention of mosquitoes breeding.
Hotel Feature Tip : Bring your own insect repellent. Bring lots of it!

Ambiance was execllent, Staff was friendly and give you comfortable feeling. The breakfast & dinner was great at the Shutter restaurant. The room was great , very comfortable feeling.
The door to the spa at the courtyard was spoil. It show an unpleasent view. Quite a lot of mosquito should have install the mosquito trap at the courtyard. The water in the spa pool which is located just right at the back of the yard wasn't so clean. should replace it before the guest check in or if the water is not in the accpeted condition it should be replace. Better Privacy as guest from the upper floor will be able to view the spa pool. I guess should use tropical plants to cover it tentage so that have better privacy
Overall Amara Sanctuary Resort is worth staying is value for money the service was great just that some areas that should be improved and it will be better. I guess if your going for a beach vacation or a getway from the city life, Amara Sancturay Resort is a must to try resort in Sentosa Island. Thumb up!
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : The Amara Sancturay Resort is located near Palawan beach is within a good 8 mins scroll down the hill. Where you are able to travel to place of interest you wanted to go within the island. Do try out the Imbiah Singapore biggest cluster of 11 attractions within 8 mins of walk within the area.

very nice and clean. staff was very helpful and kind.
Located faraway from the sea, but, if what you are looking for is a nice not over crowded place this may be the one.
it is a very nice, clean and comfortable place to stay. not over crowded like many places in Sg. There's a nice pool on the 4th floor, but small though. staff are friendly and helpful. i guess that if you want to escape from the city with your partner, this could be a place to consider.

New, Clean, Friendly staff,
have to walk quite a bit to the train station...should have a buggy to the train station
Good clean business hotel, which is close to the entrance of Sentosa Island. Rooms were clean and new, walk way from the lobby to the rooms were pretty hot during the day, but overall was a good stay. Would definitely recommend this to some business friends on a short business plus leisure trip.

Small but intimate
Elegant and undestated
Different areas to discover
Infinity pool
Thanying Thai Restaurant is great
Tennis Courts lights take a long time to come on
Bit of a walk from beach
Amara Sanctuary is a quiet, intimate chill place for tired out executives needing to find some stillness and own time. Great place for couples to enjoy each other. Service is attentive too. Though a short walk down to the beach, the Palawan Beach area is abuzz with activities if you need to have more action. The jacuzzi and infinity pool are great for relaxing and reading with great views. Even has a great Thai Restaurant on site. I have returned several times for my own space.
Restaurant Tip : Dont miss dining at Thanying - desserts are great

Room are spacious, Outdoor Jacuzzi is nice.
Not enough staff during breakfast hours.... need to wait quite long to be serve.
Rain shower is not powerful enough.
The staff are wonderfully friendly, caring and attentive. Room cleaning & laundry services are v.fast, efficient and unobtrusive. The rooms are very large, clean, with Nespresso. Outdoor Jacuzzi is romantic for couple. The hotel is wonderfully quite and surround by lots of greenery and beautiful peacocks. The hotel is near to the beach and the pool is beautiful to just hang out.

Privacy, Layout, staff friendliness, Atmosphere, Skydeck pool, Room comfort
Our stay at the Amara was wonderful. Our biggest disappointment was that we were only there for 2 nights. The hotel location is perfect for parents or couples who are looking for downtime without distractions, with all facilities within walking distance. A truly great experience
Hotel Feature Tip : The walk around the gardens is a great way to start the mornings off.

Nice design, clean, friendly and helpful staff
Not so relaxing when there are people talking in the hallway or in the room next door
Overall the resort is nice, close to beaches, golf course, and shopping at Vevo City. However, while actually in the room, there is very little insulation from noise from other guests or hotel staff passing by in the hallway, or from the people at the beach behind the resort who sometimes hold events with a loud speaker. ALso, our room had a door which joined to the next room, and we could easily hear people or the TV through the ajoining doors. The hotel should consider putting in better soundproofing, especially on these doors and the front doors, it's not expensive to do this...

Secluded resort, very relaxing and quiet
There is no beach within walking distance.
This property has excellent service even gives you a very refreshing welcome drink while checking in. Very modern lobby and the rooms are fabulous with marble floors and separate bathtub and shower which has rain showerhead. There are birds walking around freely on the resort which is an excellent touch. There are acres to freely walk around and explore. There are two pools one on the rooftop and another that has a waterfall.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Resort is a quick 5 minute walk to the Sentosa monorail and cable car tram.

Pleasant Atmosphere; friendly staff; quiet
Not enough information given by staff about the resort and its facilities; Layout of resort not as good as some others on Sentosa Island
The staff in the resort were very friendly and efficient with any requests. The resort itself was quite peaceful and very nicely maintained. The food was a bit pricey and minimal (considering price), but tasted very good. The resort's layout made it a bit hard to enjoy all facilities and the staff did not inform me of all the resort could offer to make my stay as pleasant as possible (minor point).
Shopping Tip : Shuttle bus comes quite often and takes you to the large shopping centre across from the island and back for free; catching the subway is very easy and I found it to be always very safe.

Very quiet and still, Quiet retreat. Sky pool is private and personal like a villa. Very romantic for couples. Good service. Free parking. Firm bed.
Room badly maintained, missing items for toilet, bathtub was not very clean, many little shaven hair around it.
It was a very quiet and calm hotel to live in, not crowded. Quiet retreat. Sky pool is very private on the top floor like a villa. Can see the seaview of all the ships and boats. Romantic for couples. Complimentary parking. Room not maintained properly, many missing items for the toilet, no body lotion given too, had to call for it. The bathtub was not very clean, many little shaven hair around it. Will not come back to this place again though.
Restaurant Tip : Try the japanese restuarant Si bon. Fine dining. Only take in 13 diners for dinner. Must book within 24 hours for reservations.

Sky pool
Friendly staff
Spacious room
Free island pass
Bit far away from beach; no clear walkway to beaches, must take bus
Hotel is located near the bridge to city. Upon check-in, free island pass, which takes care of sentosa express or monorail fare between city and island, is provided. Hotel also has quite frequent shuttle bus to Vivo city, a shopping mall with access to MRT harbor front station. Front desk is very friendly.
The "Sanctuary" Room is comfortable although the corridors are a bit too much Air-coned. Hotel also has villas but over our budget. For the rate we paid, it's a better deal comparing to staying in the city and travel to Sentosa for day trip. (We used the 2-day 25% off discount that the hotel provided;w/o breakfast)
On map, it's close to beaches but even though asked for direction a couple of times, we still couldn't find a walkable way to beach. We have to go take the bus, which is pretty frequent by the way.
We found very few guests used Sky pool, on the 4th floor and over looking sea front but indeed a very nice place to spend the afternoon if you are too lazy to go to beaches.
Overall, nice hotel and value for money we paid.
Hotel Feature Tip : Sky pool with beach view
Dream pool
