An awesome birthday stay with great hotel staff

it was my birthday plan to stay at amara sanctuary spa. it was my first time to stay at this hotel. the reception staff was great. she saw my birth date and without any hesitation she upgraded me to a courtyard suite. the staff that helped us to our room was so polite and attentive. breakfast was great when we had two days of room service. on the actual morning of my birthday they were awesome and gave our room a complimentary yummilicious basket of pastries accompanied with our brekkie!
i can't express more!!! it was just so relaxing and somehow this hotel didn't make me miss
home at all coz it really felt like home!!! great place to stay!!!

They provided an early check in for me once the room is done during my stay. They served us with nice tea/juice while we were waiting in the lobby for our room. The bathroom is very clean and tidy. Overall, it is a perfect hotel and I will introduce this hotel to my friend for sure.

I stayed 2 nights prior to my relocation from Singapore. I was quite disappointed that I couldnt check in at 2 pm because the check in time is 3 pm. I registered and asked for my luggae to be brought to the room once available. When I returned at 8 pm the luggage was not in the room. 4 calls to reception and concierge desk were unanswered so that I had to go down personally. Took 15 minutes to locate my bags and of course I had to carry all 3 of them myself to the room. Parking was free so thats a plus. The room was spacious but water and soil was dripping into the room through the window and wasnt removed. Cleaning standards were very basic. I got a good deal there so i closed an eye. For a staycation or a short weekend at a good deal I would probably recommend the place. Not suitable for a business traveller as it is too remote.

More suitable for relaxation

Requested for a king sized bed but end up got a twin bed room. We only got a change in the room at around 10pm in the night, however they gave us late check out in compensation for the twin bed room.
Swimming pool looks damn spooky in the night so advise to go in the day time.
Quite a bad location if you are looking at a place to go shopping or easy access to food, as even the nearest mcdonald needs 20mins to reach there.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Only go there if you are interested in visiting attractions in Sentosa, otherwise it isn't really a good or convenient place

Clean and comfortable resort hotel!
Very good in-house spa and clost to USS.

We enjoyed our stay at Amara. Spent whole day at USS and came back for a good massage.
