10 minutes drive from city but very quiet and next to beach. very clean spcacious room, Good choice for breakfast, very helpful staff. The hotel provides free transportation to city.

I did not find any

The welcoming tean, which is splendid, really reflects on our stay. The facilities and rooms are great, the hotel only 10 minutes from town and still one can find quietness and green alround. The beach is really 5 minutes walk from the hotel which is great for kids. Both my kids and I have enjoyed it (my kids are teenagers. I would recommned it to anyone.

Shopping Tip : Vivo City is great for any kind of shopping from electronics to cloths with plenty of slaes on going most time

1. Nice aroma throughout the hotel!! Adds on to the already fantastic serene ambiance. 2. Excellent toilet amenities. Best I've gotten so far in a hotel!! 3. Sky pool was great!

1. Had some problem identifying the hotel lobby initially. Maybe should put the hotel name behind the counter. 2. Should have a back gate whereby guests can access the beach easier instead of having to walk one big round (up and down a slope, mind you) currently to reach the stairs that take you to the beach. 3. Jacuzzi at the Sky pool should have heater as the water can be quite cold. In fact, the pool itself can do with some heating.

My fiance and I were supposed to go Phuket for holiday. We had to settle for this instead because of the H1N1 problem. No regrets! It was a fantastic getaway for us. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, especially our time spent at the Sky Pool. Too bad it rained the whole day on our 2nd day there. If not, it would have been much better! We liked the scent that was permeating throughout the hotel so much that we went to buy the aroma ourselves after checking with the staff what scent it was. No frills hotel with an excellent serene ambiance. Now that we have been there, we are even considering holding our wedding and solemnization here next year! We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city life in Singapore!

Hotel Feature Tip : The Sky pool is a must try!

Romantic and Quiet, quite near to the beach

Breakfast is expensive, many mosquitoes

I still go ahead to stay with Amara Sanctuary despite the bad reviews that i have read here. I didnt expect their service to be that good. Their staff are very helpful and attentive. The resort is about 5 mins walk to the palawan beach and near there, there are a few nice restaurants. Not a bad location. The room is very beautiful and spacious, however, there are alot of mosquitoes at the courtyard. Overall, i m quite satisfied with the hotel except that their breakfast is not worth the money. The food at The Shutters are not very nice as well.

Nightlife Tip : Take a tram and visit Songs of the Sea!

It's a great hotel in Sentosa. We were upgraded to Villa and we got our own swiming pool in the room. Their staff are friendly and professional. Service is quite good.

Although the bed is not soft enough, we still have fun in the room!

Actually we were waiting in the lobby to get into the room for a while. However it's comfortable to sit in the lobby and they serve us orange tea while waiting for getting to our room. It's about 10 mins walk from hotel to Sentosa Park and beach. Not too bad if sunshine is not that strong. Frankly speaking, it's a nice and clean hotel. I'll take it into consideration while visit Sentosa again next time.

Great stay throughout; sensational feelings. Excellent service by all staff of the hotel. Great hotel space with fabolous decorations. Wonderful facilities, especially the swimming pools

The ice machines was not repaired the day when we arrived till the day we left. Needs improvement in this area.

A very quiet and peaceful place to stay to relax during your holidays. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The room are big and very well decorated. The hotel provides very good facilities such as the two different types of swimming pools which cater to different group of hotel dwellers. Overall, the hotel is definitely a good choice for a leisure stay.

Nice facility, nice staff

mosquitos in the backyard, shuttles never on time

I am currently working in Singapore, and I booked Amara Resort's courtyard suite for the quick weekend escape from the city. Overall it was very satisfactory. The hotel is relatively new, and it has convenient features such as in-room nespresso machine. Plus the staffs were really nice. They lit up candles on the jacuzzi, and it just made a mood for perfect moment. There were mosquitos in the backyard, but it wasn't too bad. There were shuttles to Vivocity from Hotel, but they were never on time because of the traffic jam. Anyway, I had very good time, and I would definitely recommend the hotel for the couples.

Restaurant Tip : The restaurants in the hotel is very nice but very expensive. I would recommend the restaurants in Vivocity because you will have more variety at the lower price.

Great and attentive staff.

Pool in garden looks great, but too many mosquito's. Roof pool is better, but not suitable for small children.

Hotel lobby looks great and receptionists are very helpful. However, booking through Agoda seems not to be working favourably for guests if there are special needs or requests, such as a late check out. Had to pay for an extension. We booked a standard room, which is large enough for a baby bed. Restaurants are great, same for the bar. Very attentive staff and very friendly. all in all a great 3 days spent at the Amara Sanctuary

Good atmosphere and excellent service

Few restaurant except inside the hotel

We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. During the time, we could stay in relaxed form. From the city centre, it could reach easier than what we firstly thought. Not jammed, and has some resort atomosphere for a place near big city. Good service and clean building. Hopefully, we can stay there again.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Walking distance for nearly all of the attraction inside Sentosa island.

nice-looking lobby; convenient parking; peaceful environment; with shuttle to Vivo City

there are areas in the hotel room that is a bit dusty - cleaner should be more thorough in their cleaning to avoid deterioration of the hotel

The hotel staff are very friendly. Greeted us with a smile and offered us welcome drinks. Good room service food but quite expensive. The lobby is very attractive. If you want some peace and relaxing stay, this is the hotel to stay. They also offer regular shuttle to the nearest shopping Mall Vivo City. There is also a Catholic Chruch nearby.

Beautiful relaxed environment and grounds - tranquility of water and wildlife. Sanctuary is the perfect word for this resort. Colonial accomodation - well appointed room and garden spa (Courtyard Suite). Lovely welcome fruit platter and wine. Restaurant food excellent. Friendly courteous staff.

Although resort has a tranquil, peaceful feel, thought reception foyer was bland and clinical (almost hospital like). We had a problem with the chlorine levels in our spa which caused some concerns the first evening but this matter was resolved the next day. We went for dinner at Si Bon restaurant only to find you could not eat there without a reservation the day before - we were not made aware of this when we arrived. Disappointing.

Our visit to Singapore was one of many for me but a first for my daughter. We wanted a tranquil, relaxing holiday and this is exactly what we found at the Amara Sanctuary Resort - we will certainly return - I'd go back tomorrow if I could! Loved it. Amara Sancuary Resort - in one word - Harmony.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : On Sentosa there are quite a lot of attractions in a relatively small area and the ease of the free bus and monorail around the island make getting there so easy.

The rooms are specious and very elegantly appointed, the staff are very nice and helpful.

The two swimming pools are rather small and there are no outdoor places to eat or sip a coffee. No balconies no open air restaurants.

This hotel appeared to be in the middle of nowhere but 5 minutes walk down a narrow path with stairs gets you right onto a busy walkways with restaurants bars and the beach. Though spread over large grounds, the hotel has two very small swimming pools and lacks recreational area. More suited for conferences and couples than a family holiday.

Restaurant Tip : If you do not have a breakfast option, the nearby Delifrance is right on a beach, only 10 minutes walk along the sea,

The courtyard suite is beautifully designed. Buggy service available to transport you from your suite.

Mosquito Infested. Jacuzzi abit dirty partly because it is outdoor. Breakfast spread too simple

The courtyard suite is great if they can solve the problem of the mosquito. The breakfast can also be greatly improved.
