No proper directions to reach the hotel - very confusing

We were there for a day. We enjoyed the ambience.

Travel tip : There were no locks to the Bath room.

Room is big, cosy (for insects too)

Slow respond.

1. upon entering the room, went to the toilet, saw more then 10 small flies on the toilet walls. So surprise and we inform the housekeeper. She immediately took out a bygone, and spray almost half a bottle of it and said,'ok. done'....!!! We decided to ask for a change of room. 2. the 2nd room we stayed in, once I turn on the shower, instead of water coming out from the shower, water came out from all around the place throughout the pipe. really can't imagine a 4-5 stars hotel can have such poor maintenance.

The room was clean, and fairly large. The food was truly delicious despite the heftier price tag, but worth every dollar.

The pool was freezing cold - a heater would have been fantastic.

The room was clean and large, and the food served at the restaurant was delicious. The staff were very hospitable and welcoming, and allowed us to check out late at the last minute. However, i did wish that the pools were heated - the water was freezing cold, and it would be great if there had been more channels to view on the cable tv set in the room. overall, I would say that it was a very pleasant experience and I look forward to staying at the hotel again.

Restaurant Tip : The restaurant served great local food, and being the only vegetarian in the group, they still managed to cater for me well.

Quiet location

Certain services not available, like Spa etc which gave the impression of certain areas of hotel under refurbishment

It was disappointing in terms of service, quality and facilities, particularly in respect of the rating it states it has. I had to complain in a number of areas because of issues

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Sentosa is a very good resort and especially if you have children

Service, cleanliness, accessibility to Palawan beach and bus rides

lack of children's playground, pool not as big as it looks like in the pictures

Overall we enjoyed our stay in Amara Sanctuary. Very clean hotel, excellent service, we even got an upgrade to a better room. I didn't know how we were able to hear the sound of the peacocks at night- maybe due to the corner and furthermost location of our room. If we didnt bring our laptop to listen to music at night, we would have been really bothered by the sound of the peacocks. Surprisingly we didnt hear peacock noises during the day.

Restaurant Tip : This hotel is near Palawan beach where you can find decent places to eat at an affordable price.

Window opens up for air. There are two pools to chose from. Beautiful tropical landscaping. A short walk to the ocean. Easy access to public transportation.

No clothes line in the bathroom. Data modem access was poor from the location for the M1 service.

Its a great hotel. There are lots of options for relaxation and exercise. You can swim in their pools or in the warm water around the resort. It is easy to get to Singapore's MRT system so commuting in for work is no problem. The windows open up to let the sea breeze in. There are lots of great walks around the hotel.

Restaurant Tip : Take the monorail or bus for a short ride to Vivo City, and you will find a great selection of restaurants.

Hotel location, room decor and services

1. hall way to the elevator too hot 2. Elevator is too hot... you know how you walk out from cold to warm and warm to cold...this can get guest sick easily.

The overall about hotel, I love the room and service. We have a bit problem with the room during our stay. They changed the room for us immediately. However, I moved back to the same room afterward "recommend room on the wedding area side' seem larger because of the lay out. Beatiful hotel, eventhough 200 metre to the beach and 200 metre to the express station. good exercise. Very happy customer.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : this inside sentosa...free rideto Vivocity..walking distance to the beach...food court...in the future, universal studio, casino..what more to ask for.

nice rooms

the staffs

the staffs are very rude and not polite, they never apologize for anything ,ex: when we're late for the shuttle to vivo, they just left and tell us that we cannot be late, then when i arrived early at the pick up point opposite vivo, the driver late for about 15mins, turned out he went to grocery, and never apologize.. i waited at the lobby for the shuttle that should be there but never show, when i asked the staff, he said we should call first if we want to take the shuttle, although i do have their schedule in hand.. peacock poop on the balcony for 3 days, but no one come to clean. I definitely won't recommend this place to anyone, and i won't ever returned. total disappointment

Very new hotel, modern design, polite and friendly staffs

No private beach, No breakfast

This hotel seems to be one of the newest or most stylish ones on Sentosa island. Room is very nice and clean with spacious bathroom. Everything is perfect 'inside the room'. The only drawback is that there is no private beach or even a sea view from the window. Not sure why I get the room on the second floor, rather than on higher floors .. so no scenic views from my room Moreover, the deck pool is very small.. like there should be no more than 3-4 people swimming in the same time.

Hotel Feature Tip : Request for rooms on the 3rd floor or higher.

Nice room, good bed, clean and tidy, nice pools.

A bit difficult to reach the beach directly from the hotel, and even harder to find your way back up!

A nice hotel with clean rooms and good pools. Would return.

bathroom, hotel staff, location

hard to think of any

I was very pleased with the Amara hotel in Singapore. It was our first trip there and the staff was very helpful with tourist information. The hotel itself is modern and has many features that made the stay enjoyable. The bathtub and shower were the best I've used in a long time. The food and staff at breakfast and in the evening at the Thai restaurant were great. I will definitely stay there again on future trips

Travel tip : There is so much to do in that area that you don't have to visit the city area at all. If you take the monorail watch out for weekend tfraffic, can get heavy.

Great location - walk to Palawan beach and Imbiah Station/Imbiah Point. The room was fantastic for a family vacation with the private garden and Jacuzzi.

None really. If anything, the breakfast buffet could have had a better selection.

The hotel was great for a family vacation. The courtyard suite with its private garden and jacuzzi was enjoyed greatly by the kids. The complementary fruit platter and bottle of wine on our first day was a very nice touch. The staff was courteous, attentive and helpful. Easy accessibility to the beach and Imbiah Station/Point is a definite plus. We often walked to Imbiah without waiting for the bus. Siloso beach does have much more beach activities than Palawan (boating, volleyball, etc.). Siloso is easily accessible by Tram or bus, but for a beach buff, a resort on Siloso beach may have advantages. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely visit again.

Hotel Feature Tip : Would definitely recommend the Courtyard Suite over the pricier Verandah Suite. Ground floor, private garden and jacuzzi, all of which the latter does not have and positives for a family.

-beautiful landscape -some really good service

-staff giving wrong information -no directional signs to the sky pool

My husband and I stayed at the Courtyard Suite to celebrate his birthday. We loved the suite, the outdoor jacuzzi, the service of the staff and the breakfast. However, a major flaw was that we couldn't find the Sky Pool which I heard is a stunning feature of the hotel. We asked one of the pool attendants at the Dream Pool if there was another pool, and we were told that the Dream Pool and the childrens' pool were all the swimming pools on the hotel. We are greatly disappointed as no information was provided, we didn't see any directional signs and we had to spend the entire afternoon at the Dream Pool which was marred with children screaming and shouting. Most of the service staff were excellent, though the front desk staff tended to be abrupt and standoffish even thought there wasn't a queue at the front desk. When I provided feedback to the hotel regarding this, the reply was nonchalant, leaving a horrible aftertaste to the experience.

Restaurant Tip : Thanying on the hotel premises itself is not as good as Thanying in the city.
