This is the second time we booked in Amara Hotel. The first we get the good price at Changi Airpot with Executive Room and the second we booked thru Agoda. Regret for the 2nd visited, we have to change the rooms for two times due to the rooms is not cleaned yet in 8th floor at 12.30PM. Crazy.. And they changed for me at 6th floor which is not match with my booked. Again, the nice bell boy, have look for the receptionist and finally he gain the executive rooms for me at 16th floor. Few minutes later, the chief of receptionist come over to our rooms to make apologize.

Quiet and peaceful place for stay

there is currently block-off nearby the hotel's main entrance.
walking towards the main entrance is quite a hassle as we needed to go around the blocked off construction area. entrance to the hotel is grand and served with polite staff. hotel room is quite old as some of the furnitures can be seen worn off due to long use. the hotel is peaceful at night, great for a good rest for next day's activities. the pool looks great, as well as the gym, simple and nice. overall stay is acceptable for easy-going couple like us.

Stayed 7 nights. Weekends are a bit quiet in the city centre, but tacis are plentiful and very reasonable.
Good hotel for business in town, at reasonable rates...
Restaurant Tip:
On Sundays, restaurant options are limted in the immediate vicinity.

Spacious room with great service

We have a wonderful stay at amara. The room was spacious and bedding was great and comfortable. The check in service was seamless with very prompt and courteous front line staff. The location is so convenient to the city and Sentosa which we have no problem traveling to. Though the hotel is undergoing facelift renovation, there was no disturbance inside the room and services at all. Will definitely stay again.

Nice hotel with comfortable bed

We booked an executive room and we really like the room. The bed was comfy and the pool was quite good. Suitable for families. There are some really nice korean bbq restaurant which is a few bus stop away and i do not recommend walking as it can be quite a distance.

Clean, tidy, not that expensive, next to MRT station

Hotel location is good, five mins walk distance from MRT station.
Room is clean and tidy.
Spacious feeling in general.
Hotel staff are nice and helpful.
View from the room is normal.
If WIFI is free for hotel users, it definitely attracts more visitors.
In general, it is Good value for money !!!

Good hotel for a trip to another big city
Clean, tidy, very close to an mrt station, easily accessible

Stayed for an extra 2 nights after business trip with a colleague. We chose amara because it offered a very reasonable price within downtown Singapore making everything very convenient for us.

Freak Water Supply

When first stepped inside the room, it was spacious as the front desk staff upgraded me to a club room. Beautiful bedding with a LCD 32 inch TV and a small single sofa, working desk and mobiles chair. toilet with small bathtub and standing shower, pretty spacious. The most disappointed was the water supply from the hot tap was not hot and it water flow inconsistent. I had to boil water to fill up the tub for my pleasure use.
Nightlife Tip:
many pubs and restaurants could be found along Tanjong Pajar Road , Duxton Road and Duxton Hill.
