Good hotel for a trip to another big city
Clean, tidy, very close to an mrt station, easily accessible

Stayed for an extra 2 nights after business trip with a colleague. We chose amara because it offered a very reasonable price within downtown Singapore making everything very convenient for us.

Freak Water Supply

When first stepped inside the room, it was spacious as the front desk staff upgraded me to a club room. Beautiful bedding with a LCD 32 inch TV and a small single sofa, working desk and mobiles chair. toilet with small bathtub and standing shower, pretty spacious. The most disappointed was the water supply from the hot tap was not hot and it water flow inconsistent. I had to boil water to fill up the tub for my pleasure use.
Nightlife Tip:
many pubs and restaurants could be found along Tanjong Pajar Road , Duxton Road and Duxton Hill.

The hotel need to be improve and make sure that the room will be in the good condition and clean enough for the new guest because there were some hair left on the floor and in the bath tab plus water leak from shower but the rest is fine.

The hotel was understanding when Agoda made my booking 3 times (something wrong with their website). Excellent location for my business / holiday of 3 days to Singapore. Tanjong Pagar MRT just down the road, nice hawker food out the front, and the swimming pool is clean and nice to do few laps (maybe not for a serious swimmer). The bed was comfortable but a bit of a stain on the bed cover. Nice to have apples in the lift lobby. Good hotel and we got a good price. For late check out we were gouged by the 'minimum charge'. Four hours cost more than a whole day, but then again our plans did change. Would have been nice to have more flexibility with this.
Restaurant Tip:
Hawker food in Tanjong Pagar Centre across the road is good quality, clean and good price

i love how this hotel is located right in the business district of singapore and makes me travel to orchard toa in just less than five min by cab! the korean bbq in this hotel is deliciously superb ad the gym is fully quipped ! worthwhile to stay in!
