Convenient hotel for business visit

The hotel is very conveniently located within a hundred step walk to the subway so basically you can reach many places in Singapore. The room is tiny compared to Bayview Hotel in Penang where I visited last year but it is comfortable enough for a business visitor.

Renovation works happening around the hotel so it was a little difficult getting to it. Checkin was slow although there were only 2 guests in the queue. They were accomodating to our room requests but we had to wait for an hour for them to get the room ready (it was already past checkin time). The room was spacious and comfortable with a lounge chair available. Room comes with complimentary use of broadband internet but no cable was provided so we didn't use it at all. Our main complain was the noise from a nearby pub/club. Our room was at the 5th level and yet we could hear the music clearly. Otherwise it was a good stay.

This hotel is very very small in term of room space. But the location is good, restaurants, hawker centers nearby, with very good food.
There's one thai restaurant nearby with very nice food and acceptable price

stay at the bayview hotel is "very surprise" for me and my family. the location is very strategic not only for getting something to eat in 24 hours, but also for people who like explore singapore by mrt. why? because bayview located very close to bras basah subway station, only one stop to doby ghout interchange, that you can take mrt everywhere to show singapore.
Travel tip:
For travelers who love shopping, you better take an MRT from and to your Hotel, because you will queuing quite long if you take a taxi.

Had a nice time there enjoy the hotel I think next time I would choose another hotel I think the hotel can do with some extra things to make it better, but that would be up to the hotel manager to look around and see what is happening in his own company.

I would have to say that there are major construction works going on at this end of Ben Coolen street until 2015 as they are building a new underground rail system. Drilling stops at 10-00pm until 9-00 am though. Access to the hotel is slightly affected because of it and it doesn't look like the photo! Otherwise a good basic hotel.

Room conditions seemed more like a 2-star hotel and not 3.5-star. TV image was grainy for some channels -- a technician came to check and solved the problem after replacing the cable. Toilet flush was weak -- I have to use a glass to pour water at parts the flush can't reach.

The room is spacious but not so comfortable. The receptionist is not so friendly. The overall service provided by the hotel is normal. I would hear some renovation noise when staying in this hotel. The noise is irritating. I will not recommend my friend to stay in this hotel if the renovation is still carry on. The food is normal to me.
