Front people are very friendly and supportive.
Hotel is in a walking distance from train station - around 5-7 min. Room is a bit small but clean. I am not sure if it is comparable to other hotels in Singapore.
If you are looking for a hotel for business or personal trip nearby Orchard, this is one of the recommended hotels. The hotel is in walking distance from a train station and can access to Orchard and other main roads. It may not be luxury but quite comfortable. Front people are also helpful and friendly.

Excellent location, clean rooms, good beds. Breakfast could be better. Bathrooms are small. The best thing about this hotel is its location - in the middle of everything, within walking distance to lots of interesting places. Our deluxe room was very clean, with free unlimited internet, coffee and tea facilities, and a safe box. There is a swimming pool on the roof but we didn't use it. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast choice was limited but we didn't starve.
Restaurant Tip : There's a great 24/7 food court nearby.

Location, friendly and helpful staff, spotelessly clean, fine breakfast with many choices. There was nothing I disliked. I have stayed in five hotels in the same area as Bayview, but it receives my top review. I chose it for the location and price, but found that I got excellent value for my money. From my first entry into the lobby I felt comfortable. All the staff throughout my 5 days staff were friendly and helpful - all with a ready smile. When I eneded advice on how to get to places or other features, the reception staff were most helpful. I hjad read other reveiws complaining about the breakfast - all I can say is that they must have been on a different planet. The breakfasts were very good, offered a wide choice, and always with attentive ataff. i will certainly be recommedning Bayview to other friends, and will be making it my choice on future visits. I think that it is a great hotel. THan ks and congratulations to the staff on running a fine hotel and showing such good spirit to your guests.
Travel tip : A good location for walking to the Galleries and Museums of Singapore, with a wide variet of eating choices within walking distance.

Close to the Mrt or walking Orchard Rd, Funan centre, Sim Lim Sq.
Friendly Hotel Staff Overall the Bayview hotel is good for a short stay in Singapore, its close to the MRT or if you want to walk to Orchard Rd or Sim Lim Sq you can very easliy. I found the room clean and the house keeping ladies to be very good.
The only poor thing about the Bayview is the breakfast which is okay but could be improved greatly

Good location, between oechard and Sim Lim, a lot of 24hr food court and 711. I was hoping for a bigger room and bathroom, the breakfast is so..so.. I found a cheaper hotel with much much better brakfast and room. Well actually I stayed there less than a day, because of my flight got canceled so I took the latest flight to singapore. from the front this hotel looks nice and modern, but when I enter the room I was a bit disapointed, well first it was small.. even for me an Asian becuase considering the price I was hoping for a bigger room, and then the bathroom is also small, so it's a bit difficult for traveler with large body....
Like otherr review in here, it is right, the brealfast need many many improvement. This hotel alrady a bit expensive so it suppose to be servinng more variety fro the breakfast and better room and bathroom quality.
Travel tip : you go left then you found 711 and if you go right you find 24hr food court

If you're looking for a quiet retreat, it won't be one as it's located on the rather busy Bencoolen Street - good for sightseeing though. The Hotel location is excellent and the staff is very friendly Breakfast quality need to match Kopitam This is my first time staying in Bayview Hotel and overall I am very please, the Hotel staffs are very friendly, greeting with a smile regards of which working shifts. The hotel is clean not just my room but every corners of the hotel. The attitude of Hotel management and the hotel employees have put effort to make my stay A pleasent one. Next trip in Singapore would like to stay in Bayview Hotel again and many thanks in-advance.

Good location, fairly central to orchard road. 5 min Stroll to the MTR. SOme local restaurants and bars but not intrusive. 7-11 next door. Starting to look a bit tired now. The staff were helpful when required and not intrusive the rest of the time. The hotel is comfortable with easy access to the rest of Singapore. I would reccomend the hotel for stop overs or short stays as a good base to work from. The hotel does need some updating to the rooms but not too bad at the moment. Good value for Singapore.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Sentossa Island is worth the trip but talking to the locals will be better once the extensive building work is completed in 2011

Room and Free Internet in room. Gym with damaged machine inside. Staff less friendly. The hotel was in a good safe location. Good value with free internet in room and breakfast included. The room are clean and good size. There was also a number of good shopping centres near by, which are always handy for food too. If you wanted to be picky the roof top pool is a bit small, and gym is really too small with some of damaged machine. But honestly it really is a good hotel.
Hotel Feature Tip : The staff have to understand how to smile even tired. Because it a first impressive for your guest.

Good location for Orchard Road shopping and MRT station. Our first visit to Singapore where we stayed 6 nights. Hotel reception staff could have been a little friendlier but other staff were polite and friendly. The room was clean, large and very comfortable and the over bath shower satisfactory. The bed was enormous. Fridge in the room and a 711 store next door!!! Wide variety of restaurant food but always either luke warm or cold (which we later found was not unusual in Singapore and Malaysia probably because of the climate). Still on the subject of food, we wanted a coffee but were told that room service stopped around 9-10 o'clock (can't remember exactly) In all we had nothing important to complain about and would definitely stay again.

cheap foods around the hotel, near 7-11, near Bugis n Dhoby Gaut very small bed (queen bed), wall-view not bayview We enjoyed staying at bayview hotel because of its location. Eventhough we got a very small bed, especially for 3 of us (my son is 11 years old), but overall we satisfied. We even didn't have our second day breakfast because we found very cheap and delicious street foods next to the hotel, even better than Kopitiam just around the corner.My son also went to 7-11 more than 3 times a day to get some stuffs especially comics. He also asks to stay at Bayview Hotel again on our next visit to Singapore.Thank you agoda for your best services.
Restaurant Tip : A very delicious and cheap food just next to the hotel. It's even better than Kopitiam. Just $3-3,50...Recommended!!!

Nice room. Actually I can't really think of one right now but yes the wall is too thin I can hear what the room next door is talking about. Also the maid doesn't clean your room neatly but overall its good. Well the hotel room is on a great location. You can walk to Bugis street and Orchard road including Ruffle City. Besides, the hotel is right next door to 7-11 and the Cafeteria or a restaurant Koppitiam or something. So basically I like this hotel. The breakfast was great. The room was nice and a great location. Nice place to enjoy your staying.

The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped for the needs of most holiday makers with self-service laundry, very smal gym and sauna plus roof top swimming pool.
Staff are friendly, helpful and hospitable.
Hotel location is very central to Victoria Road, easy walk to most attractions such as Singapore river, China Town, Esplande, Raffles Hotel, Bugis market, Little India, Arab Town and Victoria Road.
Breakfast is good value for money and evening meals offer better value and more choices than many restaurants.
Easy access to airport, public buses, metro, National Museum, Art museum, etc.
Reception area needs upgrading and to be made more welcoming and relaxing area. Reception bar needs total revamping to make it more appealing to guests. I have no regret booking this hotel. It was good value for money. It was clean, well equipped and provided the essential basics for short stay visitors.
It is ideally located for easy walking to most of Singapore's main attractions by the Bay area, Bugis Market, Esplanade arts and theatre centres, Raffles Hotel, Parliament, National Library, Museum, Arts Museum, China Town, Little India and Arab Town. Easy and short bus or taxi ride to Orchard Road shopping district and Botanical gardens.
Avoid Orchard Road and stick to this area if you are looking for a cultural base from which to discover the heart of old and new Singapore.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Be mindful of sellers who try to sell you things at reduced rates and convince you its the lowest price. Also, do not be persuaded to buy something you do NOT want or NEED. Walk away...no matter the cohersion from sellers.

This hotel gets everything a tourist wants, i.e convenient location, food and restaurants around, in house facilities such as swimming pool and sauna, gym, ironing board, free internet, coffee machine. I think maybe they should renovate the lobby and cafe a bit to make it look newer and more attractive in order to cope with the hospitality market in singapore. my stay in this hotel was a pleasant one, Bayview is a hotel quite suitable for business traveler like myself. It is very convenient and close to the city center, MRT and a lot of restaurants. The amenities are considerate enough and better than many 4-5 star hotels, as the room even has an ironing board! The breakfast is okay, with a lot of variety, but they can improve the display. Overall, I like this hotel and will be staying here again in the future.

Modern interior design and very comfortable room! Very clean and has full equipments i.e. iron. I'm so happy to stay in this hotel. The room is very comfortable and I couldn't think of any other expectations with it. Transportation is definitely not a problem as I can ask receptionist to call cab for me anytime. Restaurant is just few steps away from hotel. I will definitely come back to this hotel!
