Happy stay in Carlton Hotel

I stayed in Carlton Hotel for 5 nights. The hotel location is very good. It is easy to access City Hall, Bugis and many other places. Good quality room service and the hardware of the hotel is quite new. Reasonable price and good quality. Support.
Restaurant Tip:
there is a dinner buffet in the hotel. The price is around $45. For the people who are living in there, they can have 20% discount.

one biggest drawback was that it was very far from mrt station.. and rooms are extremely small specially bathroom.. service was fine.. but cant comment further more as we stayed for 1 night only.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
stay here if its a transit night only.. away from all happening places.

hotel processes smooth and efficient. room spaceous and functional. nothing executive about the furnishings, dressing and touch points of the room though. unlikely to stay there again on business and certainly not for leisure with the family. getting in and out the hotel was smooth and taxi supply very good each morning. staff well trained and good response. hotel has contract with emirates airline judging by the large contingent of pilots and cabin crew in the common areas of the lobby and lifts.

everything was immaculate at the hotel. We loved the buffet and the dinner there which had quite a wide variety of foods from all around the world. The staff was very friendly and super helpful when needed. Best is the location near the station and really in walking distance to some of the mayor sites.

Restaurant Tip:
For a good local experience try corner of bencolan and middle roads Al Jahar?? cafe - yellow tables out on footpath.

I had a wedding reception to attend at this hotel so i thought i would book two nights with my partner.
Upon arrival we were greeted by a bell boy who took our bags and my suit, however he paid absolutely no attention to the suit and proceeded to crush it. I wasn't happy to say the least. I spoke to the concierge about the issue and was given an apology (thankfully i took the suit back before any creases were made).
The room was very clean and nicely appointed (got a room in the new wing). The view from the 13th floor was fantastic as we overlooked stamford hotel and could see out all the way to marina bay.
Staff was very helpful at the front desk. A button from my suit came loose and they sent it straight to house keeping for me and had it fixed in 15minutes.
They also held our bags for 2 days while we went to indonesia and back.
Shopping Tip:
Just across from Carlton is raffles city which can lead ALOT of shopping area's via the walkway's. MRT is also very close.
