good location for business traveler or tourist
best feature is the central location

the location is the selling point. it's across the street from chimes and raffles mall, within walking distance to the south marina casino if you are inclined to do a 20-30min walk. mrt stop is near by. the clarke and boat quay a short taxi ride. museums also near by. the business district is about a 15min taxi ride away for biz travelers. there is a reasonable mix of business and tourist travelers... too much of either group isn't enjoyble. i would go back again if the price stays reasonable.

This hotel is easy access with hot spots of entertainment area just opposite to the road including bars, restaurants, shopping mall and disco etc. However, a chargable in-room lan internet access would be a killing point for business traveller. Don't understand why they have free Wifi at the lobby but paid cable internet in the room. That has to be improved.

I stayed in Carlton hotel with my son for 4 nights and feel that the hotel kocation and service is quite good. Yet i was directed to the old wing area which the room is standard as well as the equipment. Overall i am satisfied with the service and the most important is that we can easily go to the most interesting place in Singapore and near to Raffles City Mall & City hall MRT station which is just located at the opposite of the hotel.
Shopping Tip:
Please just go to the Raffles City Mall and market place if you have any needs.

loved the neiborhood. extreemly convienient to the mrt stop 6 min walk. convient to the musieum of art. convienient to food from all different types.
taxi's easy to get. couple of gems of pubs around the corner. one on the roofdeck of an ajacient building. staff was very freindly and helpfull. room was clean and felt like newly renovated. room service comprehensive. free wifi in the lobby. overall good stay, great location and i would be happy to stay there again.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
great musium around the corner a 5 min walk.

Pillow in the room were feathers and down which I did not like. For my entire stay of 5days I could not get a foam pillow, insufficient stock...hard to believe for a 5star hotel
Shopping Tip:
Shopping centre surronds this hotel...bascially shop till you drop and all walking distance to hotel. Save lots on taxi and public transport

Good room cleanliness, spacious. Would a difference if they reward regular customers like I. I stayed 2 weeks and 2 times a year.
Restaurant Tip:
Tung Lok Chinese restaurant in the hotel serve great dim sum.
