Great hotel but poor reception services
clean and beautiful room with extra cost

the malay lady at rhe reception is so stuck up and rude when i check in. did not even ask me if i would like to request king size bed. when i enter the room, room was small with 2 single bed but clean room. went down to her again requesting a change of bed. she say unhappily that all rooms were book. i pay extra to change to another room eventually.the premier room for couple is nice.

have stayed at the carlton before and been located in premier wing / tower. this stay we were in the original part of the building and i found the rooms to be dated and very ordinary. good things are the location (across the road from raffles) and the lobby area is nice, service at front desk is great...but overall rooms were basic. make sure you request a room in the premier wing if you book at the carlton
Restaurant Tip:
You must must visit Osteria Mozza at MBS for the best italian food outside of Italy

Great location but no wifi in the room

I have been staying in this hotel for many times. Always choose the premier wing as that wing has been renovated. The bed is comfortable and the service is prompt. The downside is only the room is not equipped with wifi service and we can only access wifi in the lobby.

Good size room, comfy bed, great view, big bathroom. Handy to MRT and bus stops. 30 minute walk into Orchard Road, 20 minute walk to Clarke Quay. Nice pool area with shower available after check out. Only downside, no WiFi available in our room and a slight musty smell in room, nothing major.
Sightseeing/Attractions Tip:
Purchase a FunVee Hop on Hop off bus ticket and Singapore Flyer ticket from MRT, much cheaper and no queuing. Purchase in late afternoon which gives you a day and a half travel.

Great Location and Clean Rooms

Carlton Hotel is a very business friendly hotel with sufficient amenities. I flew in from Jakarta to Singapore as transit point in the evening -- was able to check in quickly, grab something to eat nearby from many choices of food outlets, then return and did a light work out at their well equipped gym. Next morning enjoyed their buffet breakfast at their lobby restaurant and off to airport back to Hong Kong. It was a very sufficient experience and did all of that in less than 12 hours.
Restaurant Tip:
Long Bar at Raffles Hotel across from Carlton Hotel is a must, and Hainan chicken rice is a signature singaporean food - a must try (can get that behind Raffle Hotel also).

Great Location and Superb Service

This was my second time at the Carlton and I must say that the service was superb as always. The rooms were all nicely furnished and the location was fantastic. I would definitely stay at the Carlton again.
