Disappointing - no wifi in room

The hotel looks grand and new at the lobby only. The rooms needed updating for the price charged! Surprisingly, there are still hotels of this price which do not provide free wifi in the rooms in this day and age. The wifi at the lobby was also unstable at times we could not connect.

Superb location. Easy accees by foot everywhere
Customer friendly. Awesome location - with lots of quality resturants just opposite. Good B/F buffet compared to Singapore standards

In one word 'AWESOME' from the moment we checked in. We arrived in early at about 6:30 am. But the front desk was very accomodative . Gave us a free coffee coupon and offered us if we want to have a bath till our room gets ready... and lo! our room was given to us by 8:00 AM!...even the concierge and the bell boys were doing service with a smile.
The Chimes is just located oppostie which has wide range of resturants. The shopping centres of Raffles Palace and Bugis are a wink away. For a choosen few the upmarket Marina Square shooping centre is only a leirsurely 10 mins walk!
Well connected with the SMRT Metro. Get down at City Hall and the hotel is only a few hundred meters away or at Bugis.

When I first arrived at Carlton I was impressed by the size of their foyer. I was offered a complimentary upgrade to a suite. The staff were very friendly and made the stay very pleasant.

Great hotel for leisure and business

We requested and got connecting rooms as we have 2 teenagers with us. Even though we stayed in the old wing, the rooms are big and clean but bathrooms are small. On the first night, we checked in one of our rooms which had problem with the hot and cold water tap.When we highlighted it, we got transferred to another floor the next morning. Customer service is excellent. Best of all, the free shuttle bus from Resort World Sentosa which plies the Marina Route stops at the Coach bay of this hotel. All you need is to show them your passport AND embarkation card. Thanks to one of the earlier reviewer who brought this up.
