1. Close to airport 2. The view from the pool area 3. The staff are truely wonderful

No cons that I can think of.

This hotel is close to the airport. The view from the pool deck is amazing. The staff are really friendly and helpful, even going above and beyond when needed. It is in a quiet location which means it is away from the main shopping precinct but with taxi's being so cheap it is not a problem.

Good location, nice clean hotel with friendly staff.

No weakness to be found.

i found the hotel location ideal for me as i had a quick turn-a-round in Singapore and had a quick meeting to organise also at the hotel. Its location was the reason for my stay there. The newly furbished hotel ( i last stayed there 6 years ago) is very clean and minimilistic feel generates at cosy enviroment for stay and for meetings.I would certainly consider staying again as i also found the price to be low compared to other hotels in Singapore.Together with price location and cleanlyness this hotel is one i can recommend to my co workers and friends.

Close to airport, very clean and relaxing and very convient for wife and I.

too many function to do , to make tv work, unless you know the concept you have to call front desk. And no instruction.

My stay was very relaxing at Changi Village, its quite nice for wife and I, we enjoy our simple stay at village when we visit Singapore. We like the simple shops and food courts outside the hotel and enjoy pool on the roof. Its nice simple getwawy for us , when we are in Singapore.

Shopping Tip : The steam fish outside in foood court is very nice and delicous and buffett at hotel is very traditional and good also.

The hotel was very close to nearby eateries, the prices were very reasonable and the choices were great!

It seemed like everytime i wanted to ask the staff for information regarding things that we can do in Singapore, they had no idea, or they said they were going to call me back. They never did, I had to call them back!

Our stay at the Changi Village hotel was nice, but the advertisement said a 4-star hotel, I was thinking that as soon as you got to the hotel a red carpet will show up, champagne will automatically start pouring from the skies, basically everyone at your beckon call...totally the opposite! I am not saying that the staff was rude, but this hotel did not meet my standards as far as it being a 4-star hotel like they have claimed to be. Food needed help, room service staff needed training on taking specific orders, front desk needs more knowledge about their hotel, just in-case a guest would ask them specifics, like tours, babysitting services, prices, hours of operation and other basic things. When I had emailed the front desk about directions from the city to the hotel, they made it sound like it was very close by, it took me about an hour from taking the MRT and the bus. Cab's are so much better.

1: Close to airport 2: beautiful surrounding 3: near the park where you can jog 4: Roof top swimming pool with sea-view 5: Chic and cosy design 6: Perfect service 7: Free car parking for in house guests

1) Noise from the water pump. We were given room 636 and the pump was running all night, which they couldn't do anything about. Eventhough they gracefully moved us to another room, 4 doors away which is less noisy, it is still a nuisance having to move. They shouldn't have given us the room at check-in, especially we asked for a quiet room in the booking request. 2. Check-out procedure was rather slow. Only one girl working at the desk. They need to hire more staff. 3. Expensive internet connection. Most hotels offer free internet nowadays. 4. Some rooms facing inner court yard which is horrible. Ask for room facing outside with greenery.

Talking about hidden gem, this is it!! It was a pleasant surprise to find this hotel. We like the green and rural surrounding very much. Golf course on one side and beach on the other side. You don't feel like you are in the big city at all. Make a lot of difference compare to hectic hotels in town. There are plenty of restuarants and singapore style food courts at vicinity. But why bother? The hotel itself offers one of the best buffet we ever had in Singapore and at very reasonable price. Ferry terminal to the nearby island is just opposite for those who like adventure. Overall, it is a perfect getaway hotel in Singapore and will be the only hotel we will stay when we are in Singapore, provided they give us a quiet room, far away from the noise of the water pump. Oh, by the way, our guest got a room facing the inner concrete building, which he wasn't impressed. Our room was facing the greenery outside, much better.

Restaurant Tip : Try the dinner buffet at the hotel. Every dish is perfect.

the hotel is located in a very interesting part of Singapore, a part one rarely sees. The room was comfortable and in line with expectations. Both check-in and check-out was efficient and friendly.

having checked in relatively late and having left early in the morning, all was in orde.

I booked this hotel as I was transiting to KL the following morning. All in all, it was a positive experience in terms of the room, the check-in and check-out as well as the location (about 15 minutes from the airport). I particularly found the ride to the airport interesting in that I discovered Changi Village, a part of Singapore I never saw i.e. the military barracks and the airport perimeter.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : Changi Village - an interesting part of Singapore

Proximity to Airport

Hotel needs makeover

The hotel is well situated only about 15 minutes from the airport which makes it ideal for a short overnight stopover. The room we booked was well appointed with a glassed in balcony and great view although the hotel is well past its use by date and needs a thorough makeover. On the plus side the buffet was very good and not expensive. We generally do not eat in the hotel but after walking around the surrounding restaurants the hotel seemed to be better quality and certainly good value

Restaurant Tip : Try the hotel dinner buffet

A more relaxed location than the busy downtown area. The nearby Beach park is a nice place to get early moring exercise. Good local restuarants and bars nearby.

Could use a more shuttles to downtown and pick-ups for return. Sparce toiletries in room. Only one internet computer in business centre.

Having stayed in Singapore many times, we were happy to stay out of the hussle and bussle of downtown. The hotel is close to the airport but is a longer than expected drive from the terminals. However the area around the hotel is nice with the Ferry Terminal accross the road and good walking in the Beach Park and the Ocean Walk. It offers a once a day shuttle downtown but has no return pick-up. Nearby resturants and food stills offer a good escape from hotel prices. Recommended for the budget traveller looking for a different Singapore experience.

Restaurant Tip : Take advantage of cheap local resturants and food stalls nearby.

The Hotel is centrally located in the eastern end of the island.

None

I have stayed in this hotel a few times and have found regardless of the little things the service and the staff are great at this facility. I have enjoyed this hotel as it has a variety of places to eat and have a drink in the area adjacent to it. It has a shuttle bus to the airport that runs every hour.

Nice and clean rooms

No bathrobes or toothbrushes. Need to ask

The hotel rooms are nice and clean. However, they lack the standard toiletries like toothbrush and brushrobes. Service was also not so good as I had to call 4 times before they send me a empty tray which I requested as I wanted to eat on the bed. When i requested for a room change as the aircon in my room was spoilt even after the technician came, the front desker personel even signed which I think was uncalled for.

Quiet amber and near to the seaside. Can get many types of local food near the hotel.

The refrigerator is not working and could not store any cold drink. Also no newspaper and breakfast provided.

It will be nice if the package includes breakfast and newspaper. It will be nice they can arrange a day trip to Pulau Ubin.

Sightseeing/Attractions Tip : We like the seaside and night outing around the hotel

This is a must for short stays or overnight between flights stopovers

It is hard to fault this good quality hotel - maybe the breakfast selection could have been better.

I used to go into the CBD or Geylang areas if I had an overnight stop between flights. Thanks to Agoda good deals this is a great and convenient alternative. Rooms are clean and substantial and the breakfast buffet adequate. Excellent service at check in and check out.

Restaurant Tip : Good outlets for dinner and/or breakfast very nearby including a couple of western-style bars.

Good position Excellent rooms

Further from the airport than one might think Only hourly airport shuttles

Like many people there I chose this hotel as a stopover in Singapore. I found a new, well run 4-star hotel. Nearby is a strip of restaurants and bars, excellent for late night noodles. The taxi trip from the airport is longer than expected. It takes about 20 minutes, still much closer than the city. Overall good, and I will stay there again for similar stopovers.

It is only about 10 minutes from the airport it has a chic, modern, hip decor the staff was efficient

the A/C was very strong, couldn't be adjusted the bathtub shower dripped there was an extra charge for the internet

The hotel was very nice and very chic and hip. The design was in the style of French ultra modern; the bath room fixtures were all very ultra hip, the lighting was neon and clever and very modern. the bed was comfortable and the staff were efficient.

Hotel Feature Tip : I think this hotel used to be a Meridien.

The hotel was very nice,my first stay had great view, and it was well appointed. The staff was curtious and was always very helpful.

The lower end rooms were just that, lower end rooms. To make those rooms abit more up market wouldn't take much.

I stayed at the FAR EAST Hotel in Singapore for a period of approximatley 10 days. They were booked in periods of 3 days and the diference of the rooms could be rated as minimum or not. The rooms were confortable and the staff was very helpful. Their intenet rates were on average 25$SDS per 24hr period. The best value was for a 7 day period that was 80 sing dollars. There was plenty of places nearby the hotel to go and eat and or to have a drink. The location of the hotel was good if you needed to be near the airport and the east end of Singapore.
